I never realized how much time I waste rewatching my videos, great tips!
I learnt more from your video than I have with other longer videos!
Wishing you channel growth because you deserve it!
Thanks so much man!
The scrolling quick key got me, such a dweeb for manually scrolling around the timeline! Thanks for the video :)
Amazing tips for a new content creator and self editor! I am looking forward to some pretty significant time savings!
Great tips helped me a lot!
Loved this video! Thanks, Colby.
Thanks for watching! It means a lot!
Really good content, thanks!
Love the last tip of applying only one or two tips, pairs nicely with the 'not doing everything all at once' one! Great job :)
thanks for your comment! glad the vid helped out!
Great job on this video.
🔥🔥 fire content gangy
Good tips.
Good video bro!
Great advice. These principles are transferable to other processes to - 3D modelling etc.
I would add this- think twice before you let a client sit with you while you edit. Sometimes that's what they are paying for but if they are comissioning a video then just let them watch the rough edit or finished video but keep them away from the editing interface.
I’ve never had anyone over my shoulder while editing, but it doesn’t sound too fun haha. But thanks for the watch man!
best tips, first tip is best so far. Beginner often ignore getting organzied glad you did include that tip in no 1
Thanks for your comment! Ya staying organized is key
the best tip is at the end bro. i watched 4hrs of tutorials today without putting in the work. thanks for this list. have a good one.
No worries man! Now get at it! 😂

I feel personally attacked with your tip on rewatching, ha ha. Great advice!
Haha, we are all guilty of that!
"stop rewatching your edits" but im hilarious
Great content!! Make a video on shortcuts.... Would like to learn more
Hell yeah!
Dang, I'm definitely guilty of putting everything in my downloads folder 😂
Well now you know to change that😂
Fantastic
I’m glad you found it helpful!
Great tutorial. I jus realized how much time I’ve waisted re-watching my edit. I do have a question though! We are gaming channel and not so much pro in editing, therefore we use Cap Cut which we find ok for what we need. Do you recommend this program or you think we should switch to other? We used to use Filmora but i like capcut as we need a lot of captions in our videos and capcut does it really quick. I appreciate your help! 🍺
Hey, thanks for commenting! Honestly I’ve never used Capcut so I can’t really help you out. I will say though, if you feel like capcut is holding you back, then making the switch to premiere or DaVinci would be worth it. Both of them can generate captions and once you get the hang of the software, you’ll be able to do a lot more!
@@Colby_Ludwig no, thank you for your video. Was quite helpful
Thank you for the tips i am a capcut pc user and practicing premiere now
Nice! Using premiere is a better option in the long run imo!!
@@Colby_Ludwig THANKS! BTW your google drive link is not working.
Thanks for these tips man.
though I can't open your template.
Really? Thanks for letting me know, I’ll look into it
How have you not blown up? Thanks for the great info and ideas. I see your golf clubs in the back, I am searching for a format for my Golf Simulator play videos from my shop. series now is Play the UK, $20,000 Golf trip in my Shop, Ideas welcome?
With golf there is so many ways you can take your content. You can do instruction videos or course blogs. But personally, my favorite type of content to watch is challenge videos. Think good good golf or the series “break 75” from Rick shiels.
Hole in one in 722 shots when Jerry after dark took 2627 on same hole, watched his subs go from 40,000 to 110,000 in 2 1/2 days. I had to do it quicker, I’m old might not last that long. Lol
The clip is on the channels
Thanks
Make dedicated shortcut premier pro video
0:18 damn you called me out
😂😂😂
"download folder king" i feel attacked
Haha, that was the goal. Cop my free editing template bro!
explica en un video aparte cada truco porfavor
One tip from my side. Keep some headspace in your videos.
Thanks for the tip!
sorry if i'm late, but the google drive link isn't working.
Man, it’s been giving me some issues lately, let me look into it
334th sub 😅
Thanks man!
@@Colby_Ludwig welcome 😊
More content brav
It’s on the way!
Rewatching the video you make has nothing to do with admiring edits. It's about looking for mistakes or things that you might've left out. It's like proofreading a script, and if you tell me not to do that I am going to stop listening to your advice immediately.
Repeatedly Re watching edits make whole process Slow.
@@gameboytech5064 It's a quality check.
@@gameboytech5064 wow thanks for that stunning piece of insight 🙄
you could rewatch the edit when youre done
@@NFrealStan Don't care when you do it as long as you do it. But if you hold off watching until you're done and the project is exported for example then that's a time waster cause if you see a mistake you'll have to go back in, make the change, and then render it all over again.
My Free Editing Template: error 404 dude... pls share other link
Thanks for your patience, a new link is up and running!
The drive link isn't working 😔
I’m sorry about that, let me look into it. Thanks for letting me know!
@@Colby_Ludwig No Problem, thanks for your efforts! 😁
I just like to put everybthing on my desktop
😬😬😬
HI! Great video. I tried to get your Editing Template but I got a 404. Can you please check the link. Thanks!
Thanks for your comment. It’s been giving me issues. It works, then it doesn’t work haha. I’ll look into it!
These are the most basic tipps ever lol
Step 0: Have a PC that can actually run Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve.
I know it’s not ideal, but capcut has a decent app you can use to edit on your phone
@@Colby_Ludwig i used the desktop version of capcut, but the audio editing capabilities were not enough for my use case.
You copied finzar's thumbnail 🤨🤨
