Go there every year! Also from lower Michigan. Bakers is a great place. A bike shop is opening in the old church sometime later this year as well. Good community. Hope you guys checked out sokno tacos right down the road from bakers! If you’re still near Knoxville go ride fire mountain / wind rock / or kanuga! Cheers!!!
Haha. We left months ago. I think this was recorder in June. But yeah, we've done Kanuga and Windrock, but we haven't tried Fire Mountain yet. So that'll be for next season after Cory's shoulder heals up from the Highland Bike Park incident.
My new saying is.."If you can't end it... DON'T SEND IT!" I broke my calcaneus 3 months ago and had surgery. I had just gotten back from Pisgah/DuPont and was feeling very cocky while back on the home turf. I saw a berm wall (I've never once ridden one, let alone properly) I hit the wall at full speed, exited high with major air going sideways.... Went dead sailor and hit full weight on my heal. Life changing. I'm back to riding just for rehab, but it still feels like walking in sharp stones. That should change. Love you guys!
yup. It was way too hot when we were there and the cicadas were ridiculously loud. Hope all that noise didn't ruin the vid. Cory can hardly stand to watch this vid because of the cicadas.
You know Cory, she never quits(unless it's a climb, lol) I'm not sure. Cory recently injured herself, I feel bad going riding without her. I might go check out the new Stony stuff sometime later this fall though. At least once before it starts snowing.
That sucks about Cory getting injured and seeing how some wipeouts she's taken she walked away unscathed. If she was finally hurt this time I can't imagine how badly damaged the ground was that she hit since it's like she's carved out of stone.
@@mtbgirlcory I've got nothing on your level of being funny. Something like "Embryo of your mama" would never even occur to me. Hope you heal well without any issues and look forward to seeing you back on the bike.
If you follow the skinnies across the street from the pump track, all the way past this boulder/rock garden section, the small loop with the wall rides is just after that. Just ride the skinnies all the way down and you'll see what I mean.
Feels better. Less harsh. But still, 140mm of rear travel can be exhausting at the bike park as you need to be a very active rider. Definitely gonna get more travel next time.
I wish we had places like that around the Lansing area. Do you have a lists of favorites in the SW, SE, and Mid Michigan? It will be interesting to see your top ten bike destinations around here..
Hit up DTE foundation trails in Chelsea. Ride the sugar loop. It's some great single track. Big kame and Winn are pretty good too. Probably one of the best trail systems down here I would say.
In SW Michigan, try the Cannonsburg Skills Area, Grand Rapids Bike Park, and The Underground. I have vids on all of those if you want to check them out. DTE and Brighton Rec for mid. Stony Creek, Pontiac Lake, and Holly are our favorites for SE.
Baker Creek is rad! "You got this BRO!!" Hilarious! She crushed it, way to be supportive!
Thanks! We always try to be supportive with each other. Now if you could just teach me to jump properly...😅
glad this is my local spot
Wish Hines pump track was like that one
That would be the dream.
Nice! Stiffen up your suspension when you do the pump tracks
Your love and support for each other is as awesome as your riding! You guys are the real deal. Thanks for the videos. I hope Cory is healing well.
Thank you! 😊
River bends is getting an MTB pump track soon I believe
Can't wait to see what they build. 😁
I live 1 mile from Baker Creek. You did well! It’s hard to build up a lot of speed when you don’t know the trail.
Thanks! 😊
I got a flat out there that same day. Good to meet you guys and hope you had a good trip
haha. Small world. Glad you stumbled upon this vid.
Haha! I did the same thing on a wall ride at SkyPark w/ MTB Alan. He was in front so he didn't see it. In his eyes I'm still a riding LEGEND! 😂
haha. Just came from that vid too.
Super 👍
We see you at boyne highlands
👋😁 Made it to closing weekend. Had to ride it one last time for the season. 😅

@@bermchasin nearly 1 year and a half after 2nd surgery. I'm doing pretty good and riding again.
You guys are great. So funny. And I love when your wife swears.
Thanks! Yeah, something about the way she swears always gives me a chuckle.
YAY new video!!!😁
Get better Cory ❤️🩹
It's a good day when there's a new Duke of MTB video to watch👍
I didn't get a chance to ride at Bakers on my visit to WindRock, maybe next time..
Thanks, broski. You should check it out next time. Great place to get a little warmed up before plummeting down Windrock trails. lol, plummeting
I need to get back there when the weather cools down haha

Why did I get the notification an hour late
Oh you know, UA-cam isn't always reliable with it's notifications. Missed your chance to be first this time. 😄 There's always the next vid. 😁👍
That place looks awesome! Great job on the wall rides. 🤙
Thanks, Guys!
I love Cory's determination! Great job Cory! When are you guy's riding at Stony Creek? I'd love to ride with you...

Plan on hitting it up tomorrow.
@@Themagoo Have fun! 😁👍
You said a bunch of new jump trails have opened up near you are you talking about at stony or is there other places with jump trails as well
Stoney is sick now
Stony. The new trails are pretty sweet and the some of the jumps are pretty big. Gonna take a little while before we can clear them all.
New pines trail at stony has a big jump line opening up soon too
