Our Lady's Cathedral of Antwerp

The Roman Catholic Cathedral of Antwerp, dedicated to Our Lady, built in gothic style, is a monumental building, containing a number of significant works from baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens. It also contains paintings by other artists such as Otto van Veen, Jacob de Backer and Marten de Vos. Don't skip a visit to this beautiful Cathedral when visiting Antwerp.

Beautiful cathedral, I tried to visit it a few weeks ago. Such a shame they ask for admission now just to go inside. I'm not very religious, but just imagine you have to pay to go pray.😬 I decided to skip the visit and just have a walk in the Sint Anna tunnel to Linkeroever which was nice too. 😉

Admission is free during the hours of mass, so you don't have to pay to pray. People who live in Greater Antwerp (like myself) also don't have to pay.
