This is the Bungower Road level crossing at Mornington, Victoria. The crossing is located on the Mornington Railway which was originally part of the Victorian Railways branch line from Baxter to Mornington until it closed in 1981. The line was reopened as a heritage railway between Moorooduc and Mornington in 1999.
These signals were installed on November 9, 1977. Both signals have McKenzie & Holland bases and Westinghouse LED lights, the eastern signal also has a Westinghouse Brake & Signal Co. teardrop bell.
The train shown in the video is a heritage shuttle from Moorooduc to Mornington and return, hauled by locomotive T411.
Filmed on December 19, 2021.

Great video and crossing! Love the Teardrop bell there!
Awesome! Love the teardrop especially!!!
Thanks :)
Great video Michael, love the Westinghouse teardrop bell
Thanks Jack
Nice vid, the westinghouse teardrop really sets this apart from other crossings with similar setups. Was this crossing supposed to get gates a while back? I haven’t heard anything recent.
I wish they didn’t obliterate the site of the original Mornington station, there would be so many more crossings on the line then.
With the way that governments love selling off public assets, it’s amazing that any of the line survives
@@McKHAust I know. They do thankfully hold onto the ROWs for a lot of closed lines, heck they even built an overpass for the Peninsula Link located on the closed section of the line!
