- I really do have horrid luck at this place I gotta say. So the lady and I head up and did a warm up lap on going green. She washed out in a sand box and kinda bruised her ribs and felt rough. The lifts kept on closing due to distant thunder.
So I pushed up and did the skills run until the lifts opened again and I went up (thunder sounding as I went up the hill). As I get up I wanted to do 'the blue run I didn't do last trip'... But that ended up being a general waste of time. Turtle is a fairly boring 'rollercoaster' flow trail with almost nothing in the way of features.
It didn't help that at the start of the run my pedal FELL OFF. Having unscrewed at the bearing bolt. I luckily found the bolt in the dirt and hand screwed it back in to try to get down. Bored of Turtle, I turned off at Miracle Mile to try to ride something more interesting but it was kinda iffy doing blind tech with a bike trying to fall apart. I connected to the snake run to get down and my pedal fell off again... This time in a sand box. No point to even look for the bolt. I rode the rest of the berms with one foot. And we left for home after that lol

ya replaced them with something that has a more common bolting pattern, instead of that style that ends in the middle of the pedal and you cant hardly notice if its starting to loosen itself

lol sadly i basically got no riding done. man i have bad luck at bike parks. i miss our local spots :( fuggin sux man
