Courtnay from Inverness is only 14 and 5 months pregnant. After deciding with 16 year old boyfriend Danny to go ahead with the pregnancy, tragedy struck. Courtnay was 3 months into the pregnancy when Danny was sadly killed in a car accident. Dealing with her grief and her underage pregnancy, Courtnay faces an uphill struggle. Anna Anna I’d say her mum is a good mother. She supports her daughter. Courtney even said that her and Danny stayed in different rooms but if two people want to have sex, they’ll do it when their parents are out. Courtney’s gone through more than any person should at her age, loosing someone she loves, having a baby and then her baby growing up to get cancer.
Both of Courtnay's parents are amazing and so supportive.

I think it's a blessing in way that Courtney got pregnant because Danny died.. now she will forever have a piece of him with her. And he will live on through his child. Also Danny's mother gets to have a grandbaby after losing her son. 💕 It doesn't have to be all negative.
One of my sons died when he was 19. He had a couple of false alarms with girlfriends over the years. I remember being relieved that there was never any actual pregnancies, but after he died, I kind of wished that he would have had a baby with someone. Just to have a piece of him still here with us.

I decided at age 11, a year after my ADHD/autistic brother was born, that I never wanted children. Best. Decision. Ever. I have dogs, and two stepkids. The teenage stepkids live with my husband and myself, and remind me every day why I never wanted kids. And whomever says, "it's different when they're your own", can jump off a cliff for all I care. Not everyone is meant to have kids, and not everyone SHOULD have kids.

These girls are the total opposites of each other. Megan needs to learn a thing or two. Courteney is so mature for her age and with the support of her family she will continue to be a great Mum.
Right Courtnay is so strong and is going to be a great mum, whereas Megan [and Lucas] seems too childish and lives in a little fantasy world, unaware of how difficult mother/parenthood and pregnancy actually is. She's gonna need to grow up fast before reality smacks her in the face.

I just read online that earlier this year, Courtnay and Danny’s daughter was diagnosed with a rare cancer. That honestly made me want to cry! 😢💕

Lauren Stone thank you for sharing the link to the article. That poor girl just can't catch a break!! She was way more mature than any 14 year-old I have ever met and I admire her for the way she handled everything. It just goes to show that the support of a loving family goes a long way. I thought that as well they were a good set of friends parents and in laws.
That shows that they were true friends that care about their friends girlfriend and decided to get to know her instead of just ignoring her.
Listening to a 13 year old say how happy she is to be pregnant is heartbreaking. Saying “I knew I would get pregnant” is jaw dropping. What in the actual heck?!?! She literally could have barely had a period before getting pregnant. It’s so sad.
Nowadays it’s quite common for girls to get their periods around age 10 so they’re well into a regular cycle by 13. I remember at school in sex Ed they were talking about them as something we would start at like 14 or 15 but every girl I knew had already started her’s by the time we were 12. I think I read it’s because children weigh more now so that’s somehow affecting hormones.

there's so much that goes on behind closed doors, that the cameras don't show. to be honest; we don't really have the right to judge them so harshly; it's none of our business, and we don't have all the facts. this is one of the many problems with society... we pass judgement without knowing all the facts, and that never ends well. we should all try to be a little more accepting and understanding of others.

Jeez when I was 13 I had no idea about sex let alone was interested at that age. I was more interested in surviving my school. I'm now 26/27 next week and still no kids. I cant afford a child at this stage and may not have my first baby until my early 30s. In all honesty becoming a mother slightly scares me a little bit as it's a huge responsibility raising a tiny helpless human being for 18 years

Courtney deserves all the love and respect the way how she has coped with Danny's Passing. She is extremely mature for Her age. Not once has she complained or be rude to her Mom, they did everything together. They may be the same age but the difference in attitude and maturity between these two is huge. Courtnay had the loss of Danny to deal with, fundraising in his memory and taking care of her daughter. Megan was disrespectful to her mum and was expecting her mum to buy expensive stuff for the baby, when her mum has other children to support.
Megan is in for a VERY rude awakening when that baby arrives... she's very immature. Courtney is incredible, and her mother is so wonderful!

Amelia was born the same year as my little sister. Just read that she was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, and it's absolutely heartbreaking.

Courtnay is strong. I cannot imagine losing the love of my life and father of my child- especially at such a young age. Their daughter is beautiful. I read in the comments here that their daughter, Amelia, was diagnosed with a form of cancer.
To anybody curious about Amelia's caner diagnosis- she has LCH disease. Apparently only a minority of LCH would be considered life threatening. I hope and pray that Amelia beats LCH and has a long, normal and happy life.
I can't imagine what that family is going through but they need all of the prayers and love sent their way.

Amelia Danni recovered and is currently in remission. She had a relapse when she was 14 I believe, but recovered again. She has a brother named Zane and a sister is I believe...

Megan needs to grow up and stop trying to start fights. She looks for anything she can to argue. Her Mother smokes in the house and also is a single Mother. She needs to get help and learn what a healthy relationship is because clearly her Mother wasn't a great role model.

What does her mother do that makes her not a good role model? Smoking and being a single parent? Yes smoking is a bad habit but how can you judge someone for being a single parent? You don't know her background! Maybe the husband died or she left an abusive partner! Like she made the best choice for her children

This is a beautiful and sad story, the fact that they were together for so long, that she seems so mature, and that his parents will still have a piece of their son in the form of a grandchild.
I couldn't stop crying every time courtney was on. She carries herself with such grace despite everything she's been through. I hope shes happily married now or experiencing the best of life .

The only real difference is I see between these two girls is attitude and outlook on life. Courtnay had to go through a lot at a very young age already and I think that has put her head on straight and got her priorities in order. I also noticed that she is surrounded by a lot more positivity, and it has nothing to do with money if you ask me.
I think the main difference is environment. Yes attitudes are different but I think environment is most important, since they’re just girls who both made the same choices.
I think it’s about 20 IQ points and little to no emotional maturity.

Why not she deserves better and its society that says they shouldn't have a baby. Their hormones were telling them yes. Stigmas are terrible and our society keeps the poor, poor for power. They also tell young adults what to do for power. The one percent rich could invest their money and help everyone but they won't for power.

I see it as Megan and Lucas is very immature and you can't even carry a full on conversation about what the future holds for them and there baby boy. Courtney is way ahead of her age and has major support from Danny's family and her mother. If her mother is willing to give her grandbaby the best of life with there business they own then my gully let her enjoy that not every grandparent can afford to raise a grandbaby.

Thank you you tube for throwing this up there and reminding me why putting my teenage daughter on birth control was the best choice ive made.
I have 4 girls and will not be putting them on BC as it does nothing to protect them against STDS. Not to mention the side effects can be really scary on a young growing body.
My husband and I are very involved with our daughters and I hope our relationship with them teaches them enough that they don't become sexually active and wait like their dad and I did. We didn't start a family till we got married and finished our education. My husband and I hope the same happens with our girls. But ultimately it's their choice.

They’re gonna try it and he or she is going to end up wanting/liking the feeling of no condom and end up thinking that BC is the main protection they need atm.

Actually condoms do make it feel different. My husband and I use them along with NFP as the side effects of BC wasn't a positive one.
All I could think while was watching this was that Courtnay seems very mature for her age. Her daughter was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. She must be so resilient to cope with her boyfriend's death and their daughter getting cancer. Truly inspiring.
Courtney is an incredibly strong girl. I have absolute faith in her ability to be an amazing mother to her and Danny's baby.
Such a contrast in the maturity levels of these two young women.

@@kathrynellison328 This was 10 years ago so probably not social media. Some kids are interested in sex in their early teen years and that's why sexual education is so important. When I was in the 8th grade, a girl in our class had a baby. She was 13.

Here in Africa or at least in my country, 2 teens of the opposite sex are prohibited to be in private enclosed spaces or at least without adult supervision. Unfair but it gets the message across. So, here most times when a teenager is announced expectant, 8 out of 10 times it's cause she was assaulted and raped.
If anyone wants an update on Amelia-Danni, her cancer is now thought to be 'inactive', so she's been able to stop treatment for a while. It looks like she's doing well.
Although Courtnay seemingly doesn't believe covid is real and that we're all being oppressed, so there's that...

it is so different coming from a more privileged family versus a family on assistance. one's parents find the baby to be a blessing and a new beginning. the other family sees it as the end of a life.
I am truly sorry that the baby's dad passed way. It helps to talk about Danny all the fun silly times and things that he may have said to made you all laugh. Your baby will grow up hearing all how special he was.
These two families are complete opposites aren't they? I love Courtnay and her mum, they seem to have an amazing bond and I'm amazed at how mature that young lady is!
