I was born in 90 and we still had these Huts in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I grew up playing hockey for a traveling team so we had a lot of tournaments in a lot of different cities and we would always go to these

I’m 41 and remember when Pizza Hut looked exactly like that! I had a couple of birthday parties there in the mid 80’s and they were so much fun! Man I miss those Pizza Hut lights that hang over the tables

Born in the mid 60s and raised in the 70s. Pizza Hut was such a treat. Saturdays with friends and family then Sunday nights with the church youth group. And in 80s college years it was perfect for date night. What a thrill to feel that nostalgia again. Thank you for this!!! ❤
Man, what memories. This was how our Pizza Hut looked back then. Sometimes, half of our church would go there after services. Unfortunately, it shut down years ago. Great days. I hope more Pizza Hut classics open up.
I remember when Pizza Hut looked like this everywhere. The pizza was so good…they used to bring a personal pan pizza to the table in a black iron skillet, ( don’t know if they still do that or not), but it was the best! 1980’s kid here!!!

Oh my goodness Jordan that Pizza Hut is identical to one I took my kids to here in Wollongong, Australia.🇦🇺 I think 🤔 ours closed down in the very early 2000s if I remember rightly. This brought a tear to my eye 👁️ The Pizza Hut here now is about the size of 4 of those tables put together. 😢 ❤Jodie 🇦🇺
Growing up in the late 50's in Wichita, KS, I actually ate at the world's first Pizza Hut location... a tiny little brick building that today sits on the campus of WSU. And yes: they did taste differently back then! Years later I found myself working in the advertising industry and the Wichita agency where I worked handled the Pizza Hut account before it went national with a massive growth spurt due to their aggressive franchising. In the early 70's, our big contribution was to hire Rich Little to portray John Wayne, Groucho Marx and W.C. Fields for our spots. GREAT memories! BTW: you can still see those old ads right here on UA-cam... IRONICALLY: Frank Carney, one of the founding brothers, later jumped ship and became a Papa John's franchisee here in Wichita.
Jordan I Remember when my highschool in Hanford Ca in like 1986-1987 had an open campus. We would walk about 1/2 mile to get a personal pan pizza for $1.99 and they had a couple video games like Galaga and miss Pacman . Thanks for taking me back to the good ol days. ❤️👊

9:16 fort Collins Colorado on lemay and Riverside is just like this still the same all original and it even has the pizza buffet at noon time it's all retro still original and I thank God that they have not changed it

The one where I grew up in the 80's, Strongsville OH, still has the same building. They've changed the paint job on the outside, but it still looks the same on the inside. It's such a great memory. The one here where I live now, is a Pizza Hut/Wing Street. But they do have the lunch buffet which is pretty popular here. Also, took my kids here for the "book it" rewards, for many years. Thanks for the memory!

My goodness. I remember being 19 and getting pitchers of beer, ordering breadsticks with marinara, and getting the pizza and salad buffet. The drinking age was 21 and you could smoke inside. Yes you read that right. Gen X baby.
Hello Jordan, May I just say that this is one of your many exceptional videos!!! What an interesting gentleman Ty was!! And did he ever have a heart of gold for paying forward his hard-earned legacy to his parents!! I cannot believe that he lived to be 105 yrs old!!! With that being said, I truly have a feeling that Ty is most definitely a " Earth Angel" as he did not want to leave his wonderful life!! We've had one here in Linton Indiana for years..since covid..been only take out..but finally they are opening back up the salad bar lunch buffet..its so good..missed going inside and enjoying there good food..

Hey, welcome back to GA! We just moved to Monroe, GA and there is an old Pizza Hut here, but not as nice as that one. I wish they would update it for a similar experience because it looks like the sign is the only thing that's changed since it was built. I bought some of the red cups from Amazon and use them all the time.

I absolutely LOVE this vlog! My family went to our local Pizza Hut in Grandville MI all the time! I was really hoping that one had the classic red cups as well!!! I used to order the exact same pizza for many years!!!!! Thanks for making me feel all nostalgic and smile the entire time ;-) I remember the 80's very well.... I'm 47yrs old.

Bro my family tradition was the Pizza Hut buffet on Christmas Eve for years. Where I grew up they had a taco pizza and I still think about it.
I was born in 81 so this brings back some awesome memories. I loved this one Jordan. Book it was super cool back then. I still have some holographic pins. Its been so long since I've been inside one that looks like that. Like spicoli would say.... awesome totally awesome

Loved the early 90s huts! Really any of the major pizza places in the 90s were great: godfathers, noble Roman’s, little Cesar’s, dominos - all ruled
This is the only way I’ve ever known Pizza Hut to look. If the restaurant doesn’t look like this, it’s not Pizza Hut to me.
I’m only 2 minutes in, but I had to jump in and comment that I was born and raised here in Cobb County, GA which is about 15 minutes north of Atlanta. It was named after one of Ty’s ancestors, Thomas Willis Cobb, who was a state rep from long ago.
It’s been quite some time, but there are a few of those older dine-in Pizza Huts peppered in here and there throughout the state. I remember too on my lengthy road trips over the years driving through the south, what a treat it was to spot one - we’ll always pull over and get ourselves a pan pizza and salad bar if we pass by one!

I felt that way too. I bought some red ones like that, but from the dr pepper museum, amd I still think soda pop tastes better in them, and lemonade..

I remember in 1988, my local Pizza Hut had a lunch buffet with all the pizza you could eat and Pepsi to drink for $2.49+tax. I sure miss those days but am excited to know that there are still some Pizza Hut Classics around!
I live about 10 minutes from that Pizza Hut. They used to do the pizza and salad buffet on Wednesday evenings for the church crowd, which was unusual, because most Pizza Huts only did their buffets at lunchtime on weekdays. Unfortunately, this place changed hands several years back and the service and food went downhill. It used to be a busy place, but it’s usually empty when you ride by now.
We still have a pizza hut operating out of the old building. They took out the buffet and remodeled the inside. The outside looks old, but when you walk inside, it's completely different. Our Long John silvers looks exactly like it did when I was a child in the 90's.

I loved Pizza Hut from the 80's and their salad bar was great. I did the Book it program as a kid and I also used to do the Book it program with my students for years. It was a big thing for them and really encouraged them to read. Thanks Jordan for this trip down memory lane!

Jordan, I remember these. There was one here in Scottsdale, Az. with this exact stye building and interior. It also had a Clock in the dinning area with the hands turning fast on it. All Original up to the early 2000's when it closed. Now there is a BAR there. The Building is the same and not changed. The only difference it they painted olive green on the outside and the insie is a BAR.

even as 00's kid i miss this restaurant experience. so many "modern" designs of my youth were inspired by the triumph's of 80s-90s restaurants & the old town's around me weren't updated as quickly as they were today by corporate brands unless it was target or walmart. i miss the salad & buffet experience from quality restaurants a lot especially since "real" buffets are often trash.
I miss my dad taking us to pizza hut him ordering a cold beer playing pac man and a little kid watching us eat through the booth next to us. 😮

Whenever you’re back in Ohio, they have a Pizza Hut Classic in Hillsboro. Kind of a drive from Troy, but well worth it!! So many memories!! Great video, man!! 😎👊🏻
I remember Pizza Huts very well. I noticed 3 things this one was missing. 1) the red cups 2) each table had a candle on them and 3) each table had a small jukebox if I remember they took quarters. Spent a lot of time in Pizza Hut in the 80's.

What a cool Pizza Hut! yeah the Hut used to be a great place to go for me and my kids. However now out Hut here has gone downhill, it is dirty, the food quality is bad, and the service even worse. So I do have to order what is better and available where I live, and it is not the Hut sadly. I been hoping for years that corporate would come around and help this one location but nothing has changed for the better. I would go to another location if I could but this is small town, and I am not willing to travel an hour to another location. But OMG when you showed us your cheesy pizza I immediately got hungry!! The original is now a museum on the grounds of WSU. It was moved, so it's no longer in the original location. But it is really cool. They used to sell pizza to the students on campus before becoming a museum with it's original wood burning stove.
So many memories at Pizza Hut, like you my kiddo's did Book It, & where I worked we did it once a week for lunch! Good times!!

The Pizza Hut in my hometown is still there, but the sign does not say Classic. It is the only Pizza Hut building that has ever existed since it was built. I was a teen in the 80s . We had an hour for lunch, we could leave campus and everyone returned for the last two hours of school. Our teachers would let us go to the office to call in our pizza so it would be ready when we got there. That way we had more time to eat and visit before returning to school. We had cool teachers and a cool principal who would allow it. Those were the good ole days!

School fundraiser nights at my local Pizza Hut were so great, too. Friday nights, the place was packed, it was the topic of choice on the bus coming home ("Are you going to Pizza Hut tonight?" "Ok, see you in a few hours!") and you saw all your neighbors and lots of classmates

Hamilton, Alabama has a old school Pizza Hut similar to this one, offering a full buffet and salad bar... I visit about two times a week. The last dine-in one left for miles around...
I remember the book it from Pizza hut thing i came from the same era as you Jordan. I did the same thing reading books and earning star stickers for the buttons to get the personal pan pizza coupon from school my mom would take me and my brother to Pizza hut on fri nights and play the arcades and listening to the 80s hits on the juck box. Great memories.

Looks amazing. Our Pizza Huts had carpet. Also all the tables had red/white checkered tablecloths and those classic red tumbler cups. The video games will definitely add some character. If I was the franchisee I’d play nothing but late 70s and 80s to really get the nostalgia feels.
