A good target for Shatter is a banner. One, banner bearers generally don't have will to resist. Two, Moria has no banner. So, in those scenarios that give points for banners, a Shatter can take those victory points from your opponent. What about other examples of nonweapon wargear to Shatter? A Uruk-hai War Drum is listed under "wargear." A "flaming brand" is listed as "wargear" for demolition team.
Thanks for the review guys ! I´m sorry that the first paragraph was unclear and caused confusion, basically I wanted to state that the list might be a cool maybe even superior alternative to a Gwaihir + Galadriel + Laketown combo which had been discussed in other episodes of the podcast :) Its´s good to hear that you think this list should perfom as planned since I really want to use Gandalf the white but also retain offensive capabilities in spite of his huge points cost ! Keep up the great work !
I've got a list I was thinking about as a result of this podcast. My idea is to try and supplement the watchers harbinger of evil with a terror wall. Durburz 12 Goblins with shield and spear 2 bat swarms 1 Warg marauder The Watcher The Mouth of Sauron 13 Black Numenoreans 1 Black Numenorean with banner 1 Black Numenorean with war horn Orc Taskmaster 9 orc trackers 797 points 43 models 7 might 11 bows + some tentacles. What do you think? How would you change this list or would you use a different list to run this concept?
I look forward to them discussing the Moria drum options. It is so expensive. I'd like to hear their thoughts on when to take one/at what points level.
I think allying Moria with other armies is to supplement the allied force - if you need punching power to another faction or fast models, Moria might be a good choice.
I think the banner in the Minas Tirith list is a great way to force your opponent to come to you in scenarios where banners give you points. Madril gives you a tenth bow for defending that castle too (though my first thought was bringing Irolas as well).
Hi there, just wanted to ask for you guys advice on how to make a last alliance/ Rivendell list at 700pts. I Feel I can never get enough numbers in the list. I made one and I’m looking for any advice to make it as competitive as possible. Elendil + shield 10 warriors of numenor + shield 8 warriors of numenor * shield + spear Erestor 5 high elf’s+ shield 5 High elf’s + elf bow + spear 1 high elf + banner + spear Cirdan 3 high elf’s + shield Using D6 elf’s as front line and S4 numenor as support. While cirdan allows troops to have terror and blinding light for bow protection. Elendil and erstor used as hitting power. Thinking of bring this list to my first competitive event in October so Any advice would be appreciated,
It's on for £10 on the UK site today, but during the previous edition it was one od the most in-demand models in the game and very difficult to obtain. His crown used to make all Fury automatically save wounds on 5+ instead of 6+. We meant the last edition, not current one.
Heroic Defense against the Balrog sometimes: if you call Defense before the Balrog calls a Combat, you Barge the guy away from you instead of calling a combat. If the Balrog has called a Combat already, you Hurl the Defense model away from you so the model can't get back into the Balrog the next turn.
@@jimyoyoma8956 The strict interpretation is that the S6 model is only kept upright if he is the model that is hit. It's probably not the intent, but that's the rules as written.

Main topic 17:40.
What do you mean Groblog is going for 2/300$? It is available for 12€ in Europe...

25:15. No, they aren't both from moria. They are from the same mountain range.
Rob's interpretation of SB is correct - though I think Gandalf can blast the target into Gwaihir and you'd be okay.
Could you clarify? I'm not certain how it works still. If Gandalf SBs an orc in combat with Gwaihir, is Gwaihir knocked prone?
