A great bag. A few things I’d love to see on this bag: 1. A zippered pocket in the back like their sling bag. 2. An off set strap like the TomToc sling bag 3. Zip pulls with rubberized loops for easy and silent pulls and carry.
I have this case and have been using it for more than 6 months now it goes with me everywhere. It is just perfect for my needs. I use that pocket on the very back for my iPad mini and the zipper section next to it works great as an almost hidden zipper that I keep spare cash in. Also I use the very front outside section as a first aid kit which works well for me and easily accessible. Love it!!
The fact that the dividers aren't stitched across the bottom will also allow you to run charging cords across the bottom to reach the appropriate section for electronic devices too.
I can't wait until I get mine. I'm going to use mini-caribiners to attach it inside of the Elements backpack when needed. Also waiting for the Bravo Sling Max Pro, stabilizer strap, Modular phone case and the Hub pouch as well. I've already got the zip pouch, sunglasses holder, nano bundle and the Elements cap. I'll probably end up splurging and getting the hub full bundle next. Yeah, kinda went Alpaka wacky! Great video, thanks!
there is only 1 bag that competes with this bag in the same bracket - the peak design tech pouch. and it has grab handles that top this bag, though Alpaka has said this bag might get grab-handles. They also said this bag supports an iPad Mini which is majorly awesome.
Hi Worldwave. That's a great shout, I'd completely forgotten about that one. I might drop them a line to see about making some content on it. Do you have both of these?
@@MoorlanderEDC I'm a backer for this kickstarter so I don't have it yet, but I have been carrying a PD Tech Pouch as my tech purse for years. Only now did I manage to switch to a Go Sling Mini after discovering Alpaka.
great comment, the peak design tech pouch is also what came to mind while watching this review. It has so many imitations, most of which don't even come close (looking at you and your TKS sling Black Ember), so it's great to hear from someone else who has an eye for quality
That was my signature opening 😆 When I made my first ever piece of content I was that nervous the 'Shooooooot!" thing just came out. It was kind of inspired by David Brent from the Office. I did it for years in all my early content, however, most people said it was cringeworthy and I stopped doing it. Maybe I'll bring it back for a few pieces of special content 👍
Looks like a nice bag. Worn as a sling I suspect it will not stay in place on your back as I would have liked it though. Both the back of the bag and the strap looks slippery so I'm guessing it will end up hanging on your hip. Anyone can vouch in on this?
Hi LB. Yes they're sliipy'ish. I think the strap is more of a secondary design. The larger 50mm strap does a better job stopping that slip to the under arm/hip area. I've been using it mainly as a tech pouch in my backpack. Hope that helps buddy
Not a bad tech case, not sure I'd use with a strap but more as part of a bag within a bag, could also use as a toiletries bag for travelling especially if you take medication etc !
Oh yeah definitely. Due to covid my on sites have dried up. In the meantime this is 100% going to be in a backpack with my meds, some tools, external spare battery and all that goodness
Does it fit well inside the Sacra Survive XL bag? To organize things inside the bag. Does a monster can still fit side by side with this organizer inside the Sacra? Nice review btw
Thank you Loy Loop. Great to hear you enjoyed the content. This will 100% fit inside the Sacra bag. It doesn't leave a massive amount of room afterwards however there's still some room to fit other items in there outside the tech case. Thanks for watching
seeing some of the comments i want a smallish daily tech pack that can also be a sling/bag, now reading comments is there a better alternative to this bag?
Dang it... There's a lot pressure now! 😂... Although... Have I ever let you down yet? Thanks for watching. Looking forward to hearing what you think when yours arrives
Hey there, really enjoyed the video - odd Q - could the tech case be used as a toiletry bag? I'd like to get a pouch or case that has a bright interior and opens a decent amount and so far I haven't found one...except for the Alpaka tech case... Would love to hear you thoughts.
I don't see any reason why not Damian. Although I'd definitely recommend making sure everything is dry before putting it in there. It's 100% man made fibres so there's less chance of rotting however it made smell after a while... Mind... I don't think I've ever had a toiletry bag that hasn't hummed after a few years 😆 Hope that helps buddy
Great review mate. I’m looking forward to mine arriving next year. I intend to use it as a Tech Pouch, I like the versatility of allowing it to be used as a sling, I’m sure that will be useful for some people. Now the question is whether to go for X PAC Multi Cam or X PAC black. I’m edging towards the black. This is very similar to the Bellroy Tech Pouch in design, albeit without the strap. As I was an early pledger on Kickstarter I got 45% off, so it is better value than the Bellroy.
I like the extra protection of the X50 of the multicam however I think for a tech case that'll spend most of it's time in another bag, the x21 Black is perfect I'm going to try and get my hands on some Bellroy stuff. I curious what the fuss is about. I'd like to see where the extra value comes in. I know most of it is in material, however sometime companies fall back in that name. I'm definitely not starting with a negative approach. I'd love to see how it lives up to the name... if you get me blood 😅
@@MoorlanderEDC Thanks, yes you are right. No need of the extra protection that X50 gives for this particular application. I’m going to choose the black. I look forward to the Bellroy reviews. Take care.😀

@@martin_green it's been a crazy busy week here at Castle Moorlander, however it's always nice to be busy... What with the Devil making work for iddle hands 😂
@@MoorlanderEDC It’s been a devilish week here too, after having fiendish weekend at the Whitby Goth Weekend. Hi Aiman, I hope you're well buddy. I use paracord or micro cord. It can be threaded through the zippers to help reduce the noise. It acts like a vibration dampener, and helps a lot. It's probably a great idea for some content 😊 I hope that helps
Hi SP, I have to agree. They make amazing gear however I've replaced the zipper pulls on my two slings due to the sound. With this one being in my backpack 24/7, it's not something I've found as distracting. Thanks for watching buddy
wow 100%. I like the hardware, like it's cool, but I've already snipped every single zipper pull off my Go Sling Mini in favor of paracord zipper pulls. The original ones are noisy, bulky, cumbersome.
