2005 V6 Mustang - 4.0 liter 205 hp.
2015 V6 Mustang - 3.7 liters 300hp. A smaller V6 with nearly 100hp more yet no gas mileage penalty! The V6 has come a long way.
2005 V8 Mustang GT - 4.6 liter 300hp (same hp as the 2015 V6!)
rkgsd This $25K car gets to 60mph as fast as a 1998 540i sport 6 spd. Anyone who can't have fun with that is more interested in bragging rights and parking lot burnouts than actual road driving.

You get leather seats and silver plastic on the front. It's more luxurious and nicer than the base model
the only thing I want from the premium pkg is the bigger screen and speakers, no need for leather

i made my V6 into a premium... OEM leather from ebay $379, the door sills light up from CJPonyParts, i also go heated pads from them as well so both seats heat up, my Pony in the front of the car is LED and is amazing, its a OEM part from Ford, google it, i have kickers in car, 12"pioneer w Alpine amp, Pioneer AVh 4200 NEX as the radio with the new Scosche heating kit, i would put mine against anyones. V6 Convertible, black on black with tinted windows. also had led lights installed on inside as well as the a Dash Cam that went around my rear view mirror. I will have to made a vid like this.. i have done all of these mods.. its beautiful...

hmm. I recognize that car. I literally just got home from sitting in that car.
Didn't recognize it as a 2015 until I saw the headlight accents, I wasn't expecting it to be sitting out front. Its pretty. Made the FoST I was also considering feel like a joke. So much more bolstering in the 'stang.
Feels awesome, the interior is very nice; no idea how people call it a fusion as it looks pure Mustang.
Definitely a win for Ford.
V6 makes more power than the eco boost if ran with 93 octane. Dyno numbers don’t lie. Did I mention NA engines are easier to maintain?

Does the ecoboost really have 50 torque over the V6? idc about gas id like the faster car lol im currently debating between the two... im getting stick and id like to get a magnaflow exhaust.. ecoboost sound worries me tho

So this car comes with 10 different wheel options. But does that apply to the base v6 as well?
The v6 51A package comes with all the premium options accept for the leather seats and toggle switches. The interior lighting is also optional along with the different 18 inch wheel option designs and colors

this depends on how you drive. i get 20 MPG in the city. however mine is a 2016. the MPG is just really a guesstimate/average. i drive pretty conservatively so i get 20-25 MPG in the city, however i have seen people get 11.... out of a v6... 11 MPG..
Lol they didn't reduce the HP on the V6, the engine remains the same they just advertised it with lower HP but dyno pulls have proven otherwise.

The turbo four is advertised as having better fuel efficiency but turbo four bangers chug fuel when you're in boost not really that fuel efficient if you like some spirited driving

I'm looking to purchase one of these in March.. still can't decide between the Ecoboost and the V6.. I like the idea of the Ecoboost making tons of power with mods but I question the reliability of that engine as it's already pushing it at 20 pounds.. and the V6, while not as powerful is old faithful.. you can throw everything on it plus safely run 6 pounds of boost and make over 400rwhp no problem.
...ever see what would happen if you put a small turbo on that 3.7 ? Nice things happen for less money than the 2.3 will cost you. I know someone that did that to a 2012 3.7 and it's faster than GT.. :O
Troy G The 2.3 cost about $300 more than the V6 optioned with the 18's and 3.55 gears... a Turbo Kit runs $6,000 easily.. nevermind the labor for installation and custom tuning.. So no, a turbo V6 most certainly will NOT cost less than a 2.3
Sigrafix..I beg to differ. The turbo (4) starts around 25k and the v6 starts at about 23k, so that's $2000 less not $200. And an after-market turbo for the 3.7 start at $3500 but can go up from there depending on the unit you buy. The idea of a (4) cyl Mustang just sounds silly! I used to own a 2010 Cobalt ss with a performance kit that bumped the HP and turbo pressure up a bit to just over 300 HP. Great car and had lots of fun with it. But it was a COBALT not a MUSTANG. With your premise , I guess we should lobby for Ferraris', Porsches, Corvettes, Camaro ss, etc .. to put turbo (4)'s in their ICONIC VEHICLES, because you'll get slightly better gas mileage, their lighter etc. Mustang is an iconic car period. The V8 belongs in it and the V6 I can live with. But as good as the four may be, it doesn't belong in the Mustang it belongs in the FOCUS which is where it already is.. (very good car by the way that would give the Mustang turbo a run for it's money , why? -Because it's lighter and handles better , why else ) -TG

No it doesn’t because if you leave it in gear and start it it would not be good so you have to push in the clutch to start it

arge12 I don't think that's true. Even if you could upgrade, it certainly wouldn't be that cheap. That nav screen is only on Premium equipped models like Ecoboost and GT. They wouldn't put it on a v6 because they want it to die out slowly. They're taking away features from it on purpose

The 2015 V6 Challenger is rated up to 31mpg. And come on now. The HellCat has 707hp on top. It's not the most powerful.. But it is a Looker. Between this and a Camaro. The Mustang wins. Between this and the Challenger.. In terms of what my taste of good looks is, It's a tie. Neither of them look any more sexier than the other one. They are both great looking machines.
The Hellcat is not the equivalent of the GT. You're talking about the GT500 and above. Shelby will probably up their game this time and put out 708HP or more..

I have a 14 premium v6 and I have to disagree with you on the interior, it is not mediocre at all!!!. The 15s have a better interior but that doesn't mean the 14s have mediocre interior. PS: the interior of my premium 14 is A LOT better the interior of the base v6 you are reviewing in this video

Part of me feels good knowing my 2.4L I4 Honda Accord (2007) has .1 more liters than a Mustang(I don't care if it's the lowest package).

No. Since the Mustang was still released early enough in 64, even though it was the beginning of the second quarter(Mid April I do believe) when the Mustang was first released, it would still be 50 years. Next year will be 51 years. In Mid April, if I remember the history correctly. :)

Too bad ford decided that this version would be their "rental fleet" car. Unlike previous V6's, no factory performance upgrades beyond a different rear end and they actually reduced the HP, all to make the new 4 banger look more attractive. Was actually going to buy one before they pulled that garbage.
