JD got the recently built Dodge out to stretch its legs a bit. This slough was relatively inaccessible, so he took out a few twigs along the way, just to clear the way for future riding - Gator Run Park near Longview, TX - 2/11/12.
2000 dodge 3/4 ton Cummins, nv4500 going into Profab. Stretch Fab custom 1 link setup running coils with 5 ton Rockwells welded with custom built high clearance pans. 68" tall rice and cane combine tires 30"s wide. Motor has been turned up with a programmer and the a/c still blows cold. 5 ton driveshafts with custom adaptors.

First of all props on all the work that went into fabbing all that up!
Second pretty refreshing to see a big digger like this not just be rollin coal all over the place like every other video. I love a good clean rig like this one keep it up!
@BigKleib34 More of that truck tomorrow! Be sure to check out WOW FRIDAY ;)
No need for a small trail rig when your rig makes the trail
Gives new meaning to "Ridin' Slow but not so low" That was an epic win if I've ever seen one
"its ok honey we aren't lost..."
Nothing compares to a big diesel. Love'em
I'm so glad this is a diesel and not a gas burner.
Most of these trucks don't have dual ranges. They're geared appropriately through the transfer case...
Why do people take the time to search for and watch videos that they are going to talk shit about and make fun of?
They are called trolls, and that is what they do my good sir.
Lolz obv duh smh
That thing gets about 5 mpp, (miles per prius). That turbo sound is great!
I like it. It could use some lockers and rear steer, but it's a solid build with some imaginative suspension linkage. Biggest spring towers ever! No need for gazillion-dollar coil-overs or gas struts.
That truck is awesome. Nice to see the someone clear some new paths.
Chassis built STRONG!
I think you're right on both...
That's the brakes. Monster trucks do it the same way. If you watch some of the Monster Jam freestyle stuff you'll see them glowing bright orange and throwing sparks at times. It's pretty cool. It's just not feasible to have rotors/drums big enough at the wheels and the brake lines would be really vulnerable to damage out there as well. It's easier to stop the light-weight drive shaft that to try and brute force several hundred pounds of spinning rubber and metal.
Hitting a deer in this truck would be like me hitting a bug in my Jeep Grand Cherokee.... lol
Im not a fan of cummins nor am I a fan of dodge but this truck has my respect!
That 's one bad ass Dodge Cummins nice build on the truck suspension and axles really sure footed goes any were !!
"Dude, why would you do this to a truck?"
BECAUSE FUCK NATURE, THAT'S WHY.
I think this is my fav truck on your channel- badass everytime!!
dude, big diesels are life for me. heavy equipment with diesels bigger than a cummins... built america. before that, huge steam tractors fed america. USA is a big country, it needs big equipment. we are a equipment based country, without it we get nowhere, big rigs, heavy equipment, trucks.. diesel all.
i have driven big rig in college, heavy equipment in college and work.
and a diesel ford f250 in real life. all big heavy diesels. love all of them. diesel kix ass.
could watch that truck all day, very nice setup
Anything else been done to that motor besides the tuning chip? It sounds like a different turbo to me, but maybe that's just straight pipes making it sound different. Gotta love those 5.9L's!
i was 11 when this video dropped 😂
honey badger hell....
should be called "Balls Of Iron".
people should salute this truck out of respect!
I guess you would need to add that much of a body lift to account for articulation?
gives a new meaning to "blazing your own trail"
Oh yeah, search FLOATING CUMMINS ON DIG or IS THAT SUPPOSED TO FLEX LIKE THAT
swear this is like the 3rd video ive seen of that truck knocking down trees lol
thats the best landscaping job I've ever seen
That thing looks so much more capable than most of those big bounty hole "killers" I see online. That thing is amazing
Will Andrews It’s definitely well engineered
@satricon Haha....glad somebody liked that :)
Real educated comment there
@MullinPerformance Good idea! Did that today...walkaround and driver interviews.
@alpinestars2011 Haven't gotten that far yet. More to do before they're available...
i love the sound of that cummins and turbo .
Such a sick truck love the Cummins motors
watch the rest of his videos you'll see how a one link flexes it pivots on a 2 5/16 ball an bulldog hitch with one track bar to keep it centered under this truck works very well an is how mines set up as well
Badass truck!! Definitely deserves the orange triangle on the back
@12valvepower4 Prolly about 10-11k lbs or so. Ain't light
Insane. You'll scare the snakes in that thing!
No, 4WD
that truck is the shit
@Aaronfx4 Haha....I gotcha man. Will see what I can do...
would love to see a close-up of the 1link setup... looks like a wishbone setup, but how has he got it attached to the frame?!
CUMMINS YEE YEE
Hahah thats awesome! I always loced the videos of tanks running over trees like its nuthin and that guy just did it in my favorite kinda truck
no trees where harmed in the makeing of this video lol awesome
i bet that Mopar would be a great beaver dam destroyer! haha great vids..keep em rollin'
Somebody has to blaze trails. That truck didnt even break a sweat.
If you need Tree trimming, call this guy.
does the diesel have enough power to turn the tires in 4hi? or do they normally run in 4lo?
it maybe called the honey badger but there aint no honey badgers living in that forest anymore
thats right boy. If there ain't a road where you want to go, make one
Maybe on some future vids you could walk us around the trucks and show us some of the different suspension set-up's.
That truck is a beast , i bet the oil changes are easy on it. well beside putting the new oil back into it. you prob have to use a ladder?
nice truck im a chevy man myself but would rock the dodge
thats a true "monster" truck. blazin trails through the woods.....
I'd like to know where he bought his front bumper. I want one for my '99 dually.
@THELIFEOFPRICE Haha...yeah, you're prolly right. You're the pro at this. I'm gonna have to let you take over here :)
Makes me think of Ace Ventura.
With a slow moving vehicle sign on it could you drive that down the road like you can with a tractor?
so ya say you need to hire a dozer to clear some trees? naw.. gimme gas money, i'll be right back with my truck. lmao.. i love that truck. and I love Cummin's power, nobody beats it.
Gotta plumb that thing properly ;)
That's first Cummins sounds so good
that 1 link is really interesting i would like too see some video of the build...or at very least some up close and personal walk around oh and...... AINT NO STEP FOR A STEPPER BABY !
Finally before midnight I watched one! lol and that truck is sweet!
how do all them boys with diesels keep them from inhaling water through the turbo?
can anyone tell me how much parts to build something like this would cost? I'm presuming tyres would be in the region of £1000 each to start with
what gears in the tcase? 5:1? and what size tires 28L
Put a couple chains at the back and you've got yourself a skidder :D
@JTarver420 Yeah dude, it's nuts!!! WOW FRIDAY looooong vid of it tomorrow ;)
"Outta my way tree".
personally i dotn see the fun in this. smaller, lower truck with snorkel so you can really bog down into the mud ftw - harder to clean, but much more fun.
Wide load hauling technique...
how come you have the amish symbol on the back of your truck?
Its not an amish symbol.....
Its just like a caution sign.....
Austin Dyer lmao
Austin Dyer look on the back of a DOT truck or tractor sometime kid, oh yeah and go out side once in a while!
W. Powers that was for Gizmo.
W. Powers I actually go out side all the time. Its not a fucking "amish" symbol. What I said might not be exactly what I said it was but I know for fucking sure its not an "Amish" symbol.
got to love the john deere rims on the thing lol
@44088044 Got to....no trails wide enough for that thing!! LOL
Yeah, but it wouldn't be remotely as cool!
The tires are taller than I am! I honestly enjoy being short though haha
thats the biggest dodge ive seen without tow mirrors lol
what is the disk brake on the diff for?
that truck's gonna need a logging permit!
This is my dream truck
where do you get tires and rims like that at?
who needs a bulldozer when you can have a cummins pickup
Now THAT guy is grabbing life by the horns! lol
fuckin truck is huge lol, fuckin badass👑
Looks like someone didn't get the "Tread Lightly" memo. haha
@feebles102 Hmm....I suppose with the proper circumstances ya could...
I like this guys "Fuck It" style!
That's one BIG FKN TRUCK
So much for tread lightly...
The EPA called and they are PISSED
I started watching this video, then looked outside and watched my grass grow...
I watched at 1.5x and still had time to mow the lawn
is that monster running a SCS drop transfer case?
does the front axle like that?
I dont usually drive big trucks.....But if i did...I would drive this one..
2:58 should be the avatar of this video =D
People just don't understand the passion and fun behind the sport. Or they're jealous that they can't afford to do this stuff.
gotta get my daily fix of this badass ram haha
