A good amount of it yes be it's semi side pressure semi downwards pressure. I think you're doing a chest fly to keep from losing against jerry. So he hurt his pec from that.
I'm just grateful I still get to witness old greats well older by comparison to ones prime such as Devon/John and Jerry as well perform at the highest elite levels against the much younger next generation.
This is why Devon is underrated (yes, I said it). Not only is he honest in his criticism of others even if he's giving valuable knowledge to others, but most people are too oblivious to the whole picture on what happens in Devon's matches, especially for these past 3-4 years. All his "mental games" before his match with someone, it can be as much of an advantage for him, as it can be a disadvantage. Either his opponent cracks under the pressure, which means that they weren't winning that match either way, but his victory will be even more one-sided, or he manages to motivate and kinda anger so many of his opponents, that it just makes everyone push their training and effort in the match to 110%, meaning that Devon will most likely face the famous words of "X persons best and strongest form ever". I don't know if most athletes just don't realize this, or they just haven't shown publicly that they know this (or maybe even some won't admit it's true due to ego), but Levan is the only one that I know of who has actually gone public about this. While he doesn't exactly explain it as I did, you can assume he implies it when he talked about his match with Ermes, on how Devon's pre-match banter really helped him on his training and during the match he's never been as motivated and eager to win, while with Ermes he felt no anger and he literally says he had to kinda fake all those "angry emotions" he was trying to show when he was walking to the table, but he just couldn't feel anywhere near the same as vs Devon. I'm sure all that he felt before and during the match with Devon will stick with him for a long time, not just how he respects Devon's attempt at winning the match against him (in what what very likely the strongest and most motivated Levan has ever been, even considering his form against Ermes) and while injured mid-match, but how Devon does it constantly to everyone to bring the best fight possible out of people. Which also shows when the match is over, and win or lose, he always flips around and then turns into the most humblest guy towards his opponents.
very well said, I've not heard anyone explain it like this before. What people fail to realise, and probably many of the European guys due to a difference in culture and sense of humour, Devon loves his opponents, he has so much respect once the match is over. Perfect example right here, he's being very kind and showing a lot of respect towards Jerry, despite some of the things he has said recently about being able to smash him. SO much of what he does is to hype up his fans, and as you said, get the best out of the opponent. Devon has something a bit twisted in his mind, he seeks out the danger and the fight, and it gives him some kind of release. He craves the battle that he knows he might not win.
I remember Levan saying in the press conference he was not motivated to fight Devon, but because Devon talked shit levan trained like never before. levan himself said that yes I am with you on your comment, yes trash talk is good, makes you more confident, and makes the opponent fear you, but sometimes will make the opponent angrier
@@Tasmanaut Thanks, and yeah, he is definitely great for the sport. That and having a good time. And who doesn't like that?
Genadi has been practicing his speed from start he is going to try to flash pin devon but devon needs to be careful and stop him usa for the win devon is a true inspiration and leader for the sport
Cadorette didn't compete for 4 years or so and yet managed to beat Genadi. Unless Genadi was in a bad shape, I unfortunately don't see how he can be a threat to Larratt. I may be wrong of course, but it is reasonable to expect dominance from the Canadian.
In round 3 Genadi tried to come inside and got smashed into the pad. Rewatch the video for round 3 and you'll see when the round ends Genadi is walking away from the table rubbing his pectoral area.
He lost because he got cocky after the first round, and before he knew Jerry zapped all his energy away. He should have kept that same attitude and momentum after that clinical first round win.
I'm a mechanic, I could be right next to people and tell them step by step how to change a gearbox on X car. Doesn't mean everyone would manage to do it. Knowing all the theory isn't that useful if you don't know how (or just physically can't) to put it into practice in the real world.
@@Matsuda26B yeah, but if you tell another mechanic even main ideas of changing it on the car he has never seen in his life - he will do it. And Devon is telling his ideas to other armwrestlers
I love that Devon took the jalopy comment to a whole new level😂
I think Jerry’s style pushes dudes off the pad. I think a lot of Genadis attention was trying to stay on the elbow pad.
Just watched that match and i agree. Couldve been part of jerrys strategy

Yeah I commented on that video saying something similar. He just focused on genadi's elbow the whole time
yeah those should have been fouls... whatever happen to Engin wanting fair fights
Levan does the same thing. Jerry is a sneaky good cheat in the set up. Matt Mask can attest to that.
I'd love to see a close up of what is on Devon's white board.
It’s his hit list
@@mckay86Thanks very much. I missed this video. Thanks for sharing it!
Check out Leonidas' video where he's at Devons place

I subscribed you only because you posted Devons Videos 😊

Bro I lost so much money because Genadi lost to Jerry 😫
Me to.
it was a shutout bet on Armbets
I love that shirt lol
Devon is living the dream
Genadi has been practicing his speed from start he is going to try to flash pin devon but devon needs to be careful and stop him usa for the win devon is a true inspiration and leader for the sport
Devon isn't from USA though.
beetle form devon has yet to be seen
Now this is going to be a crazy match can’t wait

He was like just weight and see... I'll show you before long
If Jerry beats Genadi then it's beginning to look as real as All Star Wrestling.
Just mind games bruh
Cause Jerry is a straight up all time great himself, and thats what greats do, still Jalopy is bloody hilarious lol.
Im just trying to read that dry erase board and his future matches😊
This is pancake Devon ✌️
this is bee stinger devon
We r thinking
A weighing 300 Devon Larratt will compete in East Vs West 6.
But unfortunately it's not going to happen.
Who cares if he weighs 300 lol
But he will be 295ish
that right arm is huge
Devon always has the best shirts lol

Devon isnt that kind of guy. He loves armwrestling and wants everyone to be better and the sport to be better.
Did Devon watch the match? The round Genadi went inside he got absolutely crushed
Your damn forearms are sick looking dude. Freaking popeye meets wolverine.
Devon drinkin that moonshine lol
Thats actually a glass of clear maple syrup 🤙
Holyshit, when he started training, that arm looked freaking massive.
Sounds like Prudnik behind the camera
He's gonna crack him. 🙄💪
I LOVE retro T Shirts
Jerry is fixed like a race horse...What him go to the restroom 30min before the matches....He sweats like crazy, heart beats like a 2stroke...
Jerry should have not called you a Jalopy because now when you always destroy him that'll be him in his supercar loosing to a Jalopy
BRO DID YOU SEE THAT, THE TABLE BEHIND DEVON, IT IS WRITTEN LEVAN, ERMES, DENIS, VITALI, ALEXEY VOEVODA, JERRY ETC BUT WHYYYYY 😂😂😜😜😜
Devon should keep all his tricks and tipps to himself i would.
At the end of the day all it is are basic ideas/strategies based off of biomechanics. More top level arnwrestlers should be that technical

no disrespect I always wanted to know, are these competitions drug free ?
And in the words of the great Michael Jordan, devon took it personal
Now Devon lost to genadi
If I was Jerry it would piss me off that Devon gives advice on how to beat me.
Is this an older video?
So when you say rest, do you mean do nothing at all or do you mean still do blood flow up until the match?
I think he means literally rest. Probably gets a small pump right before the match just to get warm
Did baby hands lose?
Oh ffs he’ll lose 😭😭6 : 0 like Levan
Get a haircut. Thank you.
Hes out of control but GENADI WILL STOP THIS HYPE TRAIN
It's a psyop Devon don't fall for it lol
His training theories only work when he faces small guys or armwrestle in WAL rules. He will have "learned a lesson" once again after Genadi.
We will see my friend
I want u to come back here and say "I'm sry, I'm wrong" if devon wins. Ok?
One can only win against Devon if he is extremely strong in comparison or have longer lever than Devon...GENADI WILL LOSE!
You don't even believe what you wrote 😂
