Dhikr / PRINCITIES OF Dhikr

Dhikr is getting closer to Allah or taqarrub ilallah is an effort to carry out obedience to Allah by carrying out the obligations that have been determined. The word taqarrub comes from Arabic which means "close" or "closer". Zikr is very closely related to worship. The two cannot be separated. Zikr cannot be separated from worship, and worship cannot be separated from dhikr. Because Zikr is part of the worship of Allah subhanahu wata'ala. In a more general sense, worship is more of a fardu (compulsory command), while dhikr is more of a recommendation (command for circumcision). Worship is like roots and trunk for a tree, while dhikr is like leaves for a tree. A tree that does not have roots and a trunk will certainly not be able to stand straight, whereas if it does not have leaves it will definitely not be pleasant and soothing. Therefore, dhikr is part of worship and every worship must contain dhikr.
