You're the best Oud player I've ever heard by far. I know being a musician can be a thankless job, but you've changed our country's music forever. I listen to this every day. Dastetoon dard nakoneh, Ostad.
Another beautiful interpretation of our great artist, Ms Bouban. Each time, it allows us to travel and discover new sounds. Take care of yourself. Cheers from Belgium.
I love the way this music can suddenly change direction unexpectedly. The resolution chord at the end brings it all so beautifully together. Very poetic, like a rainbow. Thanks once again for the inspiration
Hi Negar, I'm still coming here everyday (not necessarily this video, you are one of three or four who constitute the backbone all in all) in between hardcore punk, Irish folk and what have you. This is very much the diapason, still. I hope you have other videos planned. All the best.
Thank you Eddy C! It is very heartwarming to receive messages of encouraging spirit! I do have plans for the next videos; only if other things leave more space for them! Regards.
Well I can't quite explain it, but this piece is having a very positive effect on me. Also I have a suggestion, do you know Ballaké Sissoko? If possible at all you should try to make a collaboration with him, I think you would get along very nicely. He often comes to France, in case you have any plans to go again (once the madness gets a little more quiet). Bonne nuit.
@@boubannegar Glad you answered. Of course I could have mentioned his acolyte Vincent Segal (or is Ballaké his?.. the pair of them just works) - he would understand your music, too. All the best.
Hi @riksvien! Thanks for your comment and your kind words, and I am glad to hear of your interest in this piece. The original, composed for Tar by Hossein Alizadeh, was published years ago in Tehran, Iran. My version for Oud is transcribed but not ready for publishing, as it is planned to go with some pre-piece exercises and other pieces. I hope I can offer it some time in the next year. please check my website (negarbouban.com) in the next months to see when it is ready.
@@boubannegar I will definitely keep watching your site for info about the score. Are other oud scores or transcriptions of Alizadeh available at this time?
@@riksvien Thanks again @riksvien! So far, the only sheets I can offer are the two book you find here (www.negarbouban.com/Books/). The rest of pieces that I adapted from other instruments' repertoire, being other musicians' compositions, have not been published by me yet.
@@boubannegar Hi Again Negar: Please tell me how I can purchase these two books! By the way, I got interested in Persian music a few weeks ago after listening to a lot of setar, but realize now that I can study and learn the fundamentals on oud, which I already play! Is Persian oud taught primarily by ear or are there other method books and collections of pieces as well?
such a beautiful and lyrical instrument.... i could listen to this all day
thanks for your beautiful reflection!
I hope the music keeps giving you the beautiful joy.

Thank you very much for the kind comment and the suggestion as well! It would be nice to try a combination with Kora, too.

Hi: I (try to) play Arabic oud, but up until now have never heard the oud played like this, and I love it! Do you sell the sheet music for this piece?

Maestra, deepest respect and admiration for your virtuosity. May I ask your oud tuning?
Thanks for the kind words!
I tune from high to low as: c g d a G D (do sol re la Sol Re).
beautiful! who is the oud luthier ?
Thank you!
The oud is made by Sebastian Stenzel.
