They are too long not very broken and to much of a niche game to get in they get rejected every time some one tries I love the games but unless you are a fan of the games they are not that appealing
I love this game, a lot more than I used to as a kid, it's really rewarding when you put the time into it, and due to the chip system and non-linearity there's plenty of ways you can go about it. a stretch from perfect but worth a go for Mega Man fans, a diamond in the rough. Also regarding 1:16:52 I know I'll get killed for this, but I completely agree with him and I love that he gave Mega Man Star Force a shout out, very great games and easily the most underrated Mega Man series, I love those games like no one's business, it's nice to see it get some love.
It was more or less the first game that's rather boring thanks to the protagonist being a broody, depressive kid. The Series greatly improves in the 2nd game and the third one was great. Just goes to show that you can always improve after every attempt.
So I love how they said that this is MNBN's first time at a GDQ...I know it isn't on the channel, but I remember a GDQ where it was 2 or 3 in the morning and someone ran through the first BN game. I do remember it happening towards the end of the event, so maybe they didn't count it for some reason, but they were still taking donations..
If I remember correctly, that was during the bonus stream for one of the events, not actually part of the official schedule. This was the first time a MMBN game was officially accepted into the marathon proper.
I remember i had a rough time getting through this game then somehow i managed to beat it 100% all battle chips and the extra scene with Bass very fun times 😊
Just letting you guys know that there is another outcome for the post-Zero fight. The reason these guys didn't get it was that they would want to focus on completing the quickly as possible, so getting what would've been needed would have taken a bit longer, as well as throw in more text to quickly scroll through. I just wanted to let those who didn't know this become quickly aware of such without spoiling what to do, that's all.
forgive me, i'm not sure if they're being sarcastic or not, but can someone explain the comment about "i wish more games had in game email platforms"? like is there a reason they genuinely like it? or are they just having a joke about it?
Hey friend, it seems like you are having a hard time. The comments of these videos aren't really looked at very often, but I wanted to let you know that we hear you and hope that things are going better for you.
Torchman, Wackoman... ugh... was it necessary to SAY the dumb english names from the localized anime? Might as well say Maylu and Chaud Blaze while they're at it ¬_¬;
It is a bad game. The stage and weapon design is poor, and trying to mix the classic gameplay with Battle Network and making diet Metroidvania out of it was stupid. It might not be X7 but it's still bad.
Man. They shouldn't have made it a platformer like all the other megaman games. It plays nothing like a Battle Network game. Otherwise I would have gotten that game for Gamecube.
This game honestly deserves a sequel. The OST is one of the best in the series. Also, wish they mentioned that you can save zero from being deleted.
Awesome, we need more love for the MMBN series here.
True that!
They are too long not very broken and to much of a niche game to get in they get rejected every time some one tries I love the games but unless you are a fan of the games they are not that appealing
This game brings me back. The rage was real
You are not alone to rage in this game.
The forgotten megaman game. No one talks about this one. A perfect fusion between old and new .

Starforce for life!
I miss Starforce. I was stupid enough to trade in all my Starforce games :(
Starforce 3 especially was fantastic, I'll never forget my hours of online battles, very small but very dedicated community.
It was more or less the first game that's rather boring thanks to the protagonist being a broody, depressive kid. The Series greatly improves in the 2nd game and the third one was great. Just goes to show that you can always improve after every attempt.
Starforce 3 was the best red joker was best version tho
A better run-starting phrase would've been:
"Speedrun routine, set!" "Execute!"
CHIPPU GETTO
Oh, is THAT what he said? I always heard 'Stick together', lol.
...and then Twitch chat proceeds to spam it over and over in different languages... good times...
SABU-CHIPPU GETTO
It's like a whole game based on MM8 Astro Man's stage.
This and Tales of Symphonia are my absolute favorite Gamecube games.
agreed
this needs a port to switch!
oh wow, when I heard the message about accordions
went back to check the name
good ol' Epee Em
Loved the commentary for this run
Great run of the game. Always glad to see more love for MMBN. Wish they'd shown off Bass, but time limitations are a thing.

i remember watching that series long ago, feels good
I died to fireman like 50 times as a kid and he litterally stands there and presses 1 button 5 times and wins. Incredible.
Dude, I remember being stuck trying to S-Rank QuickMan for like a week straight. He's so much tougher than any other Navi in this game.
Shoutouts for the runner mentioning Starforce
I like seeing these bosses get iced so hard.
I remember i had a rough time getting through this game then somehow i managed to beat it 100% all battle chips and the extra scene with Bass very fun times 😊
I didn't know people existed who prefer Star Force to Battle Network.
I perfer starforce to BN
There's people with all sorts of problems out there.
Star Force legitimately has a better, deeper and more consistent story than *all* of Battle Network.

@@pflasterporsche8708 RIP @dennywhere :( He;s at @mechadenny now
No Bass incentive?? mmbn w/o bass is a sin i say a sin!!!
donu7 It would make more sense in a regular BN game, where they could boot up another cartridge to do the Bass fight there.
Why is it desync?
This games bad but I'm fucks with it
1:00:05

Does this run have a Bass% category?
“Starforce is better” LUL
"Starforce is better." Why, yes. Yes it is.
Will u ever answer my ? Y is it that you enjoy making me feel alone and scared? Can I do the same to you and y always sounds hurt me?
Hey friend, it seems like you are having a hard time. The comments of these videos aren't really looked at very often, but I wanted to let you know that we hear you and hope that things are going better for you.
Nice seeing Filthyfrank doing a speedrun ;)

Who is the announcer girl with the cute voice?
her name is Edobean
Thanks bud.
should have went ahead and battled Bass.exe
I am ashamed to say I own this pitiful excuse for a Metriodvaina...
It is a bad game. The stage and weapon design is poor, and trying to mix the classic gameplay with Battle Network and making diet Metroidvania out of it was stupid. It might not be X7 but it's still bad.
quickman lasers are classic megaman tho
I believe i can do it better than that, nice work.
was all excited to see a megaman game, that series dominated my childhood... megaman x, x2, x3.... this? this was disappointing....
Man. They shouldn't have made it a platformer like all the other megaman games. It plays nothing like a Battle Network game. Otherwise I would have gotten that game for Gamecube.
Star force was terrible compared to battle network
Shoutouts to the runner for being really bad at this.
