I mean it's best to save the non HP memories til the end of the game anyway because Gospel Duping lets you get extra copies of normally one-time chips very easily. Makes grinding for the WWW areas a breeze when you have like five guardians and five Zeushammers in your deck at the same time
@@reesecates8620 I mean it's a TAS so the whole point is to go as fast as possible, and since it's Battle Network every attack is avoidable. For basically the entire back half of the game every fight is resolved in 4 seconds with VarSword + Prism so most of them don't even get to attack anyway.
@@gyrasolune5436 It's sorta that. the real reason if you hadn't noticed is because if you hit press A on a frame of when you supposed to get an encounter it skips it for alittle, a normal human can't tell when they need to hit the frame let alone on a constant basis. a bot knows how to infinitely skips the encounter checks so they don't need ho memory for sneak runs. a regular speedrunner will tho
yeah, i don't think i'll ever play bn4 again (especially since my obsessive side made me do it 3 times for each version so i could see all the poorly written story beats,) but i think i'd be fine with watching a TAS of it
They really need to bring these together into a collection for Switch. I'd pay 40 bucks for the ability to play 2 and 3 again, BCC was a guilty pleasure of mine, and i'd even sneak in a pity playthrough of 4 too. Make it happen Capcom, my money's waiting
I just said “wonder if they uploaded a new tas today?” Yes. Just as I ask, they have. On a really neat Game that I never got into as a kid, but watched a lot of videos about, and may have seen a speedrun of during an AGDQ or the like.
I was about to say that we can skip the yellow ice at Den Area 1 by using the gate keys but you need to open the gates from Den Area 1, so there's no time saved there (stupid NPC being five screens out of the way). Could any time be saved by getting the GospCode post-Magnetman? Since we have to talk to Yai to finish the day anyway it'd largely be a matter of routing in the request board visit (which in as heavy an RNG manip as this game is it's not trivial)
I never ran this game but I'm guessing this game has an RNG system that can be fully manipulated by the runner, such as clock-based RNG. You can think of it as the runner re-loading the save whenever he gets an outcome he didn't want. If you look closely, you can see he's also avoiding encounters and manipulating enemy movements in this way.
Watching him walk past all the blue diamonds is painful

IKR? I always wondered why the TASer skips most of the HP memories and it felt like torture.

There's no way I missed this! Wtf! I loved this game as a kid! 😭
I see Battle Network, I click. Even 4.

Well hey looks like your money won’t be waiting for long now.

shame about BCC but I can live with it
Freezeman begs to differ.
Now we gotta get it on the Switch 2.

I'm probably at the first gutsman fight right now but hey I've got time to spare
I'm at the Blu fragments part and I've got 1

How do you quickly pick chips at the beginning of battles? How do you always get what you want? What are those hacks called? 7v7

You need to read what TAS (tool assisted speeruns) are. Is not a hacking but manipulation of luck and RNG

This is not legit at all. How would he never get a random encounter? He's using hacks.
@David Jameson or you can just turn on no random encounters cheat and pretend it was ran billions of times to occur naturally
Go and look how RNG manipulation works. You are making a fool of yourself like this.
