@@veryrare432hz true af lmaoo, look at they FO4 concept art literally better in everyway too bad they decided its a good idea to just use modular assets to make their environments, but even that modders can do better with their premade assets
But it doesn't feel like it still, as someone who stared at the level design for hours upon hours for referencing the art, the two games look very different to me.
Same! Picked up my copy so I can flip through it as I watch. The art is just so gorgeous, and I was stoked when I found a single copy of the Official Artworks in a random Graphic Novel store a few years back.
One thing I've always loved about looking at FromSoftware's concept art to the relevant games. Is how well they managed to translate and carry the *feeling* the art gives into an interactive medium.
compared to other studios, Fromsoft always sticks to their concept art the most, many video games have concept art that just looks alien compared to what the final product is, and it usually looks... worse, hell just think of fallout 4 for instance! But I do hope one day Fromsoft can reach a level of visual fidelity that completely does their artstyle justice, I feel like if a game like that ever comes out, it'd be one of the most beautiful games ever made.
@@lexmarovsky6667Then what would be the point of concept art? It's not like it's actually 1 to 1 just very close. For other studios it's more a question of if they will use it exactly this way, which often isn't the case for multiple reasons.
This was a treat. Thanks for putting it together. It's certainly a joy to watch, but it's such a great and handy resource for the lore community. I'm sure I'll pop back here from time to time to look at the concept and in-game elements side by side.
When I got the artbook, I was astounded that the game looked exactly like its concept art. It's really, really rare that a game is able to actually capture the essence of stylistic art in the final design. Bloodborne is truly a masterpiece.
Lights are expensive, could be they had to remove some for performance sake. Also the moon would hit windows facing a concistent direction across all the buildings in the game, something the concept art wouldn’t need to think about
I hope this Final Garden Stage would be So Wide as Rom Sea Horizon Stage as the Final Boss was Actualy More.than Super Boss so you can see a multiple Pillar beside next other side of mountain but unfortunately it just cliff and Sky.
Still an unmatched aesthetic. No other game i can think of oozes aesthetic this hard. maybe Cyberpunk 2077 gets close, That game is also gorgeous and immersive.
Best video vouve done, really enjoyed all the comparisons! I wonder, could you share us a source, or a gallersy, drivel link whatever, where all the concept art images are available? Really hard to find them in good quality, and i wont tear apart and scan the artbook for that. Thanks!
Bloodborne was such a disappointment for me on my first playthrough. It felt cut short and I didn't really enjoy any of the bosses. I had expected to be in central yharnum for far longer, the streets of a city excited me as a setting but it kind of ends when you beat gascoigne. I really wish you could explore more of the streets of yharnum, it's such a cool an unique setting to the series
Not really, not yet anyways. Everything seen here AI couldn't even come up with, just a poor imitation. And certainly not in this detail. Would Ubisoft, EA etc. do it? Sure. But with Fromsoft so far it seems very unlikely.
Fromsofts ability is to translate concept art into the actual game with insane accuracy is unmatched
bethesda should take notes

😮Thank you for the amazing showcase dude! God, how Fromsoft managed to make bloodborne and ds3 in a similar period is black magic to me..
Shezman rules
They did it by reusing lots and LOTS of assets from their past works for DS3. Nothing wrong with that tho
@@afungai1649Yep. DS3 almost ended up being bloodborne reskinned.
Hey mann. Would u make a Bloodborne parody as well? THAT WOULD BE SO SICK 💥

That art belongs to museum
I hope you're not talking about british museum
@@Keni0101 Nah, just in general
Is that a Indiana Jones reference?

The best art direction in the business I am fucking floored at this game every time I see it.
I love the more pale skies in much of the concept art. More horror movie vibes
Behold! A Paleblood sk-- [GUNSHOTS]

Sometimes I think they draw these concepts after modeling. We don't know much about From's development cycle.

The music sent me.
I'm gonna have to watch this later when I have more insight.
pretty much perfect translation from 2d to game

After all these years, BB remains my favorite game ever
Still my favorite game
Teu trabalho é incrível mano , espero mais vídeos assim em DS e Elden Ring

It’s so impressive how even level design is done so well in these. I wonder if the layouts are decided before the art is made?
Level design is crucial to Miyazaki work so I imagine they do block outs and sketches of the layouts first
barely any lights in most areas where in the concept art there is plenty, interesting artistist choice

I appreciate from’s meticulous word design
fromsoft games look like paintings.. theyre so beautiful
Great idea!
Thanks for this!
From software artists are just different.
How it feels to play bloodborne for the first time
求其上上者得其上

I saw a few bloodborne concept weapons too. Idk if those are fanmade or original...
The best Soulsborne game.
That's weird
I have the official Artbook and some of the concept arts are not included there
The style of From's concept art is peak.
Where Is bloodborne 2??? 😒🥲
aint gonna happen, not all that soon anyway.... sony holds the IP unfortunately
WHAT IS THE BACKGROUND MUSIC?
The OST

Sony should PUSH Fromsoftware to make a sequel.
Concept art 11/10
Graphisme 3/10
