it was designed not to. meaning no matter what, the glass is so thick, that it wont break under that pressure. architects and engineers made the glass over a 2 feet thick, unbreakable bulletproof, pressure proof glass so that no amount of water pressure or animal force can break it. i used to imagine the same thing, until my brother showed me the floorplans of an aquarium he is designing.
Those fish with the bright yellow stripes/tails are my favorite. I love how all the people are like "Ooh pretty fish!" and the shark is prowling around slow like it's thinking, "I will fucking kill ALL of you."
