Argh I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but my string of nickels looked exactly like yours when it had flat mites. The yellow splotches on the leaves alerted me to the issue. I death-bathed it in a solution of Castile soap, isopropyl alcohol, and hydrogen peroxide, and then sprayed it with spirotetramat. It freaked out a bit but didn’t die and is now mite free and putting out new growth. You can find the recipe for the bath on the Symmetrees blog. I believe californicus mites are the predatory insect of choice for these guys, which we can’t get here in New Zealand.
I love these videos! They’re so real and it’s fun following the journey and remembering back on what the plants looked like! I’d love if you did a plant makeover video or something where you spruce up some plants that haven’t been exciting because I definitely plan on doing that now 😅
Just found your channel, nice!! I also love the larger cabinet; I am looking for one and it looks bigger than the one usually seen from Ikea. Where did you get your cabinet? Thanks, new subscriber.
I’ve got one of the danguey. I’m waiting for it to do anything. It’s cute but I won’t expect it to do anything over the winter. It’s under a grow light.
omg, I didn't believe the too much light issue to be so bad on these plants but I got myself a growlight and my plowmanii in a north facing window jist hates it :E it bleached in like 4 days :E :E it's so unexpected!
Hey Michael! Drainage holes actually really don’t contribute to air flow- its main purpose is just to allow excess water to drain. No drainage potting requires very particular watering which becomes super easy once you get the hang of it. I’ve actually had way more plants die in pots with drainage vs pots without. Some of my healthiest plants that I’ve had for years have been thriving without drainage. I wish more people would give it a chance! A lot of the downfall of my plants this year have been mostly from pests and me being really bad with my watering since I’ve been so busy. 😕
I’m about to slam dunk my Nangaritense in the trash too 🤣🤣 The only thing that’s stopping me is that a good friend gifted it to me 🤍 Definitely a problem child 🫣
I LOVE follow up videos. Feels like a real saga or trilogy or something.
I've been in bed with cramps all day and this video saved me from losing my mind
Omg it’s 3:45am and I’ve been up for an hour with cramps 😭 I’m sorry you’re going through it too 🥺
@@unplantparenthood solidarity 😭😭😭

Am I tripping or are you off by a year 😂 edit: yes I am I just got the premise of the video 😇
Your Alocasia Scalprum is amazing! So striking. I’ve killed every tradescantia I’ve ever owned 😂.
In general, I am not a tradescantia person, but I have a Nanouk and I want the Albo one to also plant with it 😅
Ok you are sooooo good for my soul 💚👏🎄
I love these Updates a lot 🥰

Is a soderini a baby soderoi?
its a different form of sodiroi that takes longer than the regular one to size up!
Omg you Crack me up!!
You're all camel toe Sherman, all camel toe!
Your videos are decompression therapy for me...plants are just a Bone-ass😁
The fact I even gained any subscribers during my camel toe era is truly a miracle 💀🪦
Why are your plants always dying? Serious question.
Lots of reasons! Pests, root rot, forgetting to water, going on vacation, more pests.. life 🤷🏻♀️
Rip to the gloriousum you will be missed
The issue is the glass containers these plants are in. There is zero to no air flow through the roots, considering their natural habitats

Hi Bella! Are you using calmag in your fertilizer routine? 🤍
@@unplantparenthood I do, maybe not enough though. How much do you add?
