  • Nobody online seems to have reviewed this with the Laco upgrades at all, only the standard parts which was one of my frustrations. So I have decided to do it myself and buy one and share my thoughts!

    Very informative. Thanks. I am gunning for the Miyota powered Flieger.
    I will go for the 60 hour power reserve upgrade.
    Beats the 38 hour reserve of the ETA 2824.

    I have an Augsburg, one of the taupe special editions from a few years ago. I like it, but one thing I wish that Laco would change is the strap width. A 39mm watch is perfectly fine with a 20mm strap. It doesn't need to have 18mm. I enjoy 20 more than 18 because it feels secure on the wrist and it also doesn't make the watch look so bulbous. The 18mm strap definitely makes the watch look bigger than it is.

    Thanks for the good info. Please keep the watch still as I had to look away often. Cheers

    Did you buy directly from laco? If so how was shipping like? Was it fast? Did you have to pay any duty on it?

      I bought direct yes and yes customs was charged at around £30. Laco will not add VAT when purchasing if buying from the UK, the courier will add the VAT on top of the import duty so you pay the VAT and duty to them. It took a couple of weeks to arrive.

    Hello! Does the second hand stutter on this watch with Miyota 8315 movement?

    • @RobbieKhan
      @RobbieKhan  3 роки тому +4

      There is no stutter with this 8315!

      As far as I know, the 8315 is really only the older movement with a larger power reserve. Both are still indirect drive, so the second hand can still stutter. Also why a shame this isn't the 9000 series, given that is direct drive so zero chance of stuttering with that one.

    Really wish they made it with a screw down crown

      It's no issue really as 50m is more than enough and it's not a dive watch or swimming watch so no need. You can still get it wet, in shower etc and there's no issue.

      I've sold it on now to fund a Stowa Bronze Flieger but the AR had no issues at all all this time.
