What an amazing product and a great way to innovate. Necessity is the mother of invention after all! Looks so finished. This would be perfect in some of the homes in the Chicago burbs.
That's all well and good, and on those short 6-8' runs, it might work just fine... but what happens when you do a straight 75-100' run with thermal expansion? How do you deal with that without everything either buckling or tearing itself apart?
@@POLOLOUS3 Siding only has to deflect and lead water, not be water tight. And in 100' straight runs with no expansion joints or failures to fasteners? I need to see that to believe it. That's a whole lot of movement.
@@martinpoulsen6564 to clarify, we don't exceed 60' runs without an expansion joint, and if the gutter is black and south facing the joints would be at 30'
not sure if it's the same in the US but in Australia is part of code for there to be a pitch/slant and can't be installed dead straight so water doesn't pool
Man, I heard $23 a foot and I was like that seems a little high, but ok, this is for higher end homes. Then I heard $75 a foot installed. That's $52 a foot installation cost. 100 feet would cost $5200 for what is likely 4 man hours of work. That should be $35 a foot installed.
I can get a 6 inch seamless gutter installed for my new construction at $3.70 a foot and $3.50 a foot for my 5 inch…. This is literally 20-30 times the cost almost
Right. Not all homes need or warrant this product. Would I use this on my Raised Ranch? No. Would I use this on a 1700s Victorian with tons of gingerbread trim? Absolutely.
great video and thank you for price transparency. great product.
PHEW. It's an amazing product! Love seeing architects putting in the work to bring details correctly to traditional buildings in new ways!
just to clarify, 100-115 is the cost of radius (curved) gutters ,not the cost of the standard gutters
@@Duragutter sorry yes, I will edit it to be more clear!

Same thing that happens on extruded aluminum siding/cladding…. Nothing

Wondering if he could use copper to make these for a premium product?
I can't even imagine how expensive that would be.
@@nottherealjk it's only money.
not sure if the video was for showing off the gutters or his biceps

Pretty good with math. Where'd you go to school? MIT?
Agreed… especially after he makes the point how it takes no special skills to install! $52/foot is crazy. I’m going to work for that guy!
Probably flying out to jobsite price
@@DrWinklerr that's about the only thing that would make sense to me

Probably not as good quality wise. Cheaper isn't always better.
Anyone else think Nick is on roids? 🤣
HA! I can confirm that I am not.
