Mining lithium is a water guzzling real toxic pollution metal to our ocean water!
there are many green hydrogen projects or green hydrogen plants being built around the globe at the moment, by 2030 green hydrogen will be abundant!
Very little platinum or lithium is used in fuel cells in comparison to huge amounts of lithium and many other metals used in a lithium EV, lithium is very difficult to recycle and more costly than mining it, this is why 99% is not recyled, the new solar cells and energy wind farms are much more efficient make green hydrogen now than just storing it to electricity, simply more bang for the buck for hydrogen storage and this is why more green hydrogen projects or plants are being built than ever! this is why lithium cars have never been a viable solution, after all most are connected to the oil and coal grids.
Due to the heavy toxins and pollution in mining lithium, when a lithium car is still in the company assembly line it has already polluted more than a hydrogen fuel cell car that has been on the road for more than 125000 miles!
Secret about hydrogen fuel cell cars is that each car actually cleans the air as it runs due to it`s clean watered electrolysis when released onto the atmosphere, the new fuel cell cars are becoming truly remarkable and super safe to drive!

Here in Alberta, as a young male you often pay insurance rates per month HIGHER than your vehicle lease. I only started driving at 30 and even with a spotless record on a janky but well used Smart Fortwo my insurance was like $250/month and my car payment? Only $200... That alone would make a robotaxi attractive to many a person especially if you could offer an all-you-can-eat subscription model for a fixed price...

I was all in to get a Modal 3 and followed Tesla since early days but the £30k Tesla 3 never materialised it was more like £43k when it first hit the road. I’m now probably going Renault 5 retro tha5 looks a brilliant hatch EV. The MG Cyberster beat Tesla to a great roadster and it’s now stupidly priced £200k plus and more like still scary but £50k. It still has to seat four even if it has two doors or it’s a bit of a waste of space.

I still think people will enjoy driving and want both options - self and human driving. Plus, we want 2, 5 and 7 seater cars. A new X would be great to see in the UK for those of us with larger families, dogs, or requirements to carry more gear either for work or leisure. MY and M3 are not enough for the UK market. A smaller, cheaper family car and larger, more premium full size SUV alongside a 2 seater sports car and the Cybertruck would round things off nicely. Not sure the MS is so relevant these days. Really want to see electric vans as well - not the robo van so much - for commercial applications. The robovan is cool but for leisure applications, needs to have higher ground clearance off-road capabilities.

Wooo wooo woooo. The car is designed to be able to built by robots without human intervention. They didn’t say humanoid robots. Optimus may be ready to do some tasks but it is not ready to build the whole car.
All teslas will be autonomous some with and some without steering wheels.

Frankly as a Canadian and minimalist I'd have been happy for just the Robotaxi with a detachable/optional steering wheel for "self-drive" sort of like the GM Ultralite's used/envisioned in Demolition Man's San Angeles of 2032... But a more affordable mass-market vehicle is always welcome especially with VW screwing the pooch as it were with its whole ID lineup mediocre overpriced vehicles. Frankly I do envision a day when even VW is partially or entirely owned by the Chinese even if it ends up as a BINO/Brand In Name Only with all the design and engineering being doing by others much the same way its Scout project is basically a JV with Rivian to reskin its software and platforms with SLIGHTLY different bodies and interiors...

Musk's vision of a future world with only driverless cars may well happen, but till then we humans need cars we can actually afford and EV's seem to be the coming thing. If Tesla cedes the bottom end of the market to Chinese producers we will never have a truly affordable Tesla for the masses. True, prices are coming down with rising efficiencies but sub 30K is needed sooner not later and with promised tariffs coming a domestically produced high quality Tesla will definitely compete with imports that are burdened with tariffs. So pie in the sky for later and cheaper Teslas now.

Full Meat Driving in a big city is stressful and expensive (e.g. insurance is more, parking is nutty, people are more aggressive drivers, pedestrians and bikers jumping out of nowhere, etc). Some of the reasons I gave up my car and rely on Uber for within the city and will just rent a car if needed to go somewhere like a cottage when there is no convenient train option.

I am still a huge fan of Tesla, and was of Elon Musk, but Elon has definitely gone in full fascist mode... Just read his many tweets that are just misinformed and sometimes just dumb and tell me he is still a good, intelligent guy...
As an old fan, it is just sad how he changed from a sympathetic nerd to an absolute right wing propaganda chill...
That doesn't mean I don't like Teslas, because I think a lot of good people and engineers are working there, but I can't stand Elon anymore....
I think if he goes down this line and doesn't stop this behavior, he will lose a huge part of his Tesla customers. In fact just two of my friends decided against a Tesla because of Elon Musk and here in Germany Elon Musk is more and more recognized as a full fascist - which is not good for business here in Germany.
I still hope for a cheaper Tesla Model and I hope Elon realizes, that even if you don't align with all liberal values anymore, you don't have to go to the extreme right wing/ fascist way.
