Great like always, I hope one day you do some renders and render setup in maya arnold after texturing in SP, great tips in all your videos, thanks man!
Amazing as always! And here I am, still deciding whether to use Maya or Max for modeling, why can't Autodesk just create a merged version of them with all of their strengths added to it, with revamped code so it makes proper use of current gen hardware xD
Thank you! And yes I agree, too many software to choose from 😆 I actually first started on Max, its great software, honestly you couldn't go wrong with either one. Use whichever one you enjoy the most.
@@polyrendr haha thank you, I honestly vastly prefer working on Maya, but 3DS has some really attractive things such as modifiers, smart extrude, I think that splines are better too, and I've heard that boolean operations have recently become amazing. That said, I HATE how pivot works in it (same for Blender), navigating is strange and annoying, it often tends to become slow or downright crash lol and that interface for the 90's... yikes lol I'll give it some chance to see if it clicks after I get a bit better at it, but I'll probably end up going back to Maya xD
Hello, I am a Korean. I like your videos!! It's so awesome. So would there be any inconvenience if I subscribe to your Patreon and listen to it? And does the real-time video only contain the production process without additional explanation? Or do you explain it to me? Please understand that it was written using translation.
Thank you! My real-time videos on my Patreon page are not narrated, but they do include the full process. I do also have other tutorial-related content on there like tips and tricks videos and other narrated content like live-streams, etc. Always new stuff coming :)
Hey polyrendr im following your tutorials for quite some time and had a request that can you make a tutorial on how to retopologize these models to use them as a game asset like ive mostly modelled stuff with lot of polygons and never made them efficiently so they can be used in a game they have too much polygons so can you make a tutorial on that like i see many people using quad draw for retopologizing characters but i dont know how to retoplogize these props and stuff or does any viewer know how to do that?
Hey! Yes absolutely. Usually for video games you'll want two meshes - one lower poly thats optimized for your game engine, and a high poly model to create your texture maps from. Ive done this in older videos like the CB radio, but I will definitely make more game-ready assets soon enough :)
Usually UDIMs are not used for video games because you're usually limited by your texture amount. UDIMs are great for pre-rendered situations where you're not limited by texture amount/sizes like in movies for example.
as a straight man I love you
Appreciate the love! 😆
Ye! We want retopologize videos! We want game-ready models! We want retopologize videos! We want game-ready models!

I see you pump these models out so frequently, is this just a side gig for you or do you have a full time job in the industry as well
Yes I work as a 3D artist for my day-job. I usually create these models for my YT channel on my weekends.
@@polyrendr good shit. after my 3D artist job I just dont feel like doing anything after my day lmao.

@@polyrendrthankyou that would be really helpful ❤
Could you explain how you made the wire for the headset? I tried to follow but i couldnt quite figure out how you got the wire to twist like that...
I did it using Motions Paths. Check out my "CB Radio" video - I do the exact same thing in that video and I go over it in real-time and its narrated 👍

@@polyrendr thank you soo much now i fully understand
How many hours will do take this model?
It depends on the artist, but this one took me around 5 hours for everything.
I don't know if you read this or not I am one your subscribe cab you make a video on jungle house 3d model which is tied with ropes
Interesting! I'll add it to my list :)
