Actually, laserdisc was the premier home video format for 20 years - from the late seventies until DVD came along in the late nineties. (Granted, it never gained the popularity of VHS, but its resolution was better, had more flexibility in terms of soundtrack channels (with up to four), and studios would often release special editions in the format.) Now, RCA’s “CED” video disc format of the early eighties was obsolete out of the box. It played its discs with a stylus, and RCA lost so much money in the failed venture, that it had a hand in the company’s demise.
Golden Road is the wrong game or challenge for a LeBaron convertible! Even though it has a 5 number price, as well as any luxury type features on the car, it’s still not worth enough for the golden road challenge!
That Chrysler Town and Country was one of the worst cars ever made. I wouldn't care if I lost! Now if it was one of the Cadillacs or Lincoln Town Cars they were famous for having as prizes, I'd probably cry and throw a tantrum if I lost! 😂
Rolling junk. My friend had his parents' hand-me-down and it was a go cart. You could literally buy the door handles on the endcaps at Napa or O'Reilly's.

She won two prizes which was better than nothing. With Drew Carey, many seem to win only one prize or none at all.
That laser disc player was practically obsolete right out of the box. However, pool tables are timeless (assuming she has somewhere to put it).
That would be a nice looking pool table to have today.
"Video cassette recorder" according to Bob. 😆
I have seen a couple people that collect laser disc's and have the player to use them

My son got a laser disk player and a few movies for free a couple of years ago. He can find movies and really likes it.
Bob didn’t seem as amped up as usual as a whole during the game play.
Some things in this clip you just don't see anymore. Laser discs and wood paneling on cars.
Just add George Costanza to that car and you have an instant Seinfeld episode! 😂
I loved when later Bob would enter from the audience and we knew Golden Road was going to be the first pricing game
Which was the wrong pricing game! Because even with all the luxury items, a Chrysler LeBaron convertible is not the appropriate prize for Golden Road!
You can see the golden road sign and the gold floor circles upon bob coming out of the big doors
Well 2 out of 3 ain’t bad still a great win
Many more ladies in Bob's audiences than in Drew's.
3:53 - it's a shame that this cue went from being used originally for showcases to only being played for this part of Golden Road.
16,000 for a Chrysler LeBaron convertible in the early 80's?
