- A short montage of my first solo during my PPL Flight Training.
Flying solo for the first time is a huge milestone for any trainee pilot and it was no different for me!
After heaps of circuit practice with my Instructor the moment came where he turned to me and said he was 'happy to jump out if i wanted to go for a couple of solos?'
I had a feeling it was coming as i had just passed my Air Law Exam that day - a box to tick before you are allowed to fly solo.
3 circuits and 15 minutes later I was somewhat smoothly back on the ground and couldn't of been happier!
Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching

Tell me about YOUR First Solo! Where and after how many hours??
Stuart The Pilot I soloed this July, after 11 hours,, today I flown some solo circuits after a month break. Currently 19hours total, 3 in command, about to do some nav exercises. Great videos and tips! Keep up the great work!
+Ministry Of Twang 11 hours is good going ! Nav is tough but great - next video will be on that topic + a few tips that helped me. Thanks for the message and kind words ✌🏼
Massive respect! Always a fantastic effort to be a certified pilot!
Thank you - and thanks for watching!
Loving the video's stuart! planning to start my training next summer. looking forward to it even more now! :D
Thanks dude, glad I could help in some small way. Massive good luck with all your training and any questions along the way just ask! Enjoy, Stuart
Wish this was just you flying, no wanky indie music and you hadn’t fast forwarded it. As a student pilot these videos would be genuinely helpful. Although you have made some great videos about that were really helpful re: ground exams and general PPL info, I just wanted to see your first solo in real time as they are always good videos when you’re learning!
Very good looking place
Was at Fife airport today
Hopefully I'll be starting my PPL in July at Dundee airport with Tayside at the 12 week flight school 🤞
Quick question: is it hard to speak with the ATC?
Brilliant - you will love it and Dundee is great to fly from. Chatting on ATC is challenging to begin with but gets easier every time you fly. Enjoy your training! Stuart
Must be such a buzz.
Hi I am a massive Edinburgh fan can you reply Also how is my fave player tom brown gettin on with his flying and tell him it's Michael Renwick and the scar from the 6 stitches is still there. Let's beat Ulster this weekend. #knights
Thanks for the message, Tom getting on well with his flying - should be qualified in no time. Glad you like the videos see you at the next match 👍🏻
