We need the Bears to go back to being the Monsters of the Midway, like they were in the early days of football and 1985. Right now their offensive line is more like the Kittens of the Midway, and have been for most of the last 25 years. Also, RIP Gale Sayers.
Man me being a teen I'd never really known just how good sayers was no wonder people called the way he ran magic and wonderfully if only he didn't get that dreadfully knee injuries
I believe the Bears are the NFL's oldest franchise with the exception of the Arizona Cardinals, who played in Chicago until moving to St. Louis in 1960 and to Phoenix in 1987 I think. The Bears started out as the Decatur Staleys before moving to Chicago in 1921 I believe
With all many tens of thousands of great players, plays, and forgotten stories from over a century of Bears football, these could be but a microcosm of the most statistically memorable plays. But so many others no doubt happened.
Must have watched this 20 times as a kid. Still my favorite hour of television- the music and the stories and unparalleled. Thanks for the memories
this is old yet significant the 100 year anniversary will feature Matt Forte, Devin Hester, Charles Tillman, Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher

What a master piece. I love my bears and our beautiful history. This here gave me more history about our beloved bears. Great video. Bears down
I had this VHS as a kid and watched it a hundred times. Thank you for posting!
Butkus embodies what a Defense is about. All business, baby!
Gale Sayers, the original "CRAZY WORK!"
Cheapo George Halas wasted the careers of Butkus and Sayers.
