Matt, I am with you, I love to see a car company make a well made, comfy, all wheel drive car for the masses, that is not a piece of junk. This Kicks does not seem like it was cheaply made at all. I think the Kicks is really well done and priced correctly. Also, agree 100 percent with you when you said you don't need turbos in normal everyday vehicles. Plus, the Japanese are really good at making a drive train that is well balanced has good power to get on the highway yet decent gas mileage. I like simplicity, all my vehicles are all naturally aspirated and that helps last a long time. If I was in the elevations I would want a turbo but otherwise not really needed. Nice video, I sent this video to my co worker that is still considering this Nissan Kicks. He is torn between the Kicks SR AWD or the Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness. He likes Subaru's, but admits the Kicks is nice.
I just purchased this 2025 Nissan Kicks SR 3wks ago in 2 tone Gun Metallic w/ Red Roof!! This car is Hottt!! The Redesign, the smooth Ride,Great Gas mileage and all the Amenities! I'm impressed, People are constantly asking, What is that? I say a Nissan Kicks ..Run Don't walk!! Loving it!!😂
I just bought a white 2025 nissan kicks s awd and love it mine was $25,340 sticker price very fun to drive great on gas several features usually only found on high end cars
Great review Matt! A few weeks ago my wife and I bought the Arctic Ice blue SR AWD that was number 87 made. It was on display at the Nissan Super Girl Pro Surfing event in Oceanside, California. We love it. It's got the Premium Package and so loaded with features for only $30K.
It's great to hear your impressions from the Kicks after driving it around for a week. Very insightful as always. Thanks for helping us all to make informed decisions! 👍
I'm very happy with my 2023 Kicks. I enjoy driving it, and I get excellent gas mileage (as good or almost as good as a hybrid). If I remain happy with my car, the new Kicks will be at the top of my list if/when I want a new car. I'm especially looking forward to the e-power Kicks if they do release it in the U.S. If it works in the cold, e-power sounds great.
I recently took my Sentra in for an oil change and they had new Kicks in the showroom. It's a really nice looking vehicle. Basically if you have a Sentra budget, but want a hatch, get the Kicks.
This a huge improvement over the previous gen. Not sure how they got 140hp out of a 2000cc motor with DI. Hopefully that means it's under-stressed. IMO, MPFI would be better suited for this motor if they're using a low compression ratio, and sacrifice some MPG for long term reliability. Comparing it to an Acura really puts into perspective how much Nissan is improving and punching above its weight
If this came with e power hybrid! This would sell even more! Honestly Nissan in Japan is far superior to what we get in the USA 🇺🇸.but I’m happy Nissan USA is finally waking up and bringing in better models to America 🇺🇸
OK Buick, the competition has come to roost. Time to give us the 360 cameras, dual 11' screens, dual rear pockets, rear air vents, fold-down armrest, and pano roof like you offer in Asia. We now have other vhicles to consider!
Very attractive appearance but if I'm honest; Rising-Sun gotta bring a NISMO variant with 250 - 300 hp to compete with that GR growling around town! Thanks! ✌🏽❤️✊🏽
I had a 2022 kicks s, my complaints were lack of power on the highway, a bit too small and seats weren’t great for road trips. A drunk driver totalled it a month ago, and I ended up ordering a Maverick hybrid. Can’t beat that fuel mileage.
@@sachemrock Greed? Lol. Not every cost or efficiency optimization measure is rooted in some nebulous "corporate greed". The fact is, CVTs on the whole offer better fuel economy and more efficiency for smaller engines. Nissan has been building them for over 2 decades. There is a reason other manufacturers like Honda and Subaru also implemented CVTs. Car companies don't build mainstream cars to satisfy the preferences of the minuscule "enthusiast" community and if they did they'd go out of business. It costs countless millions of dollars for a manufacturer to engineer a brand new transmission and unless there is a solid business case for it, it makes absolutely no sense. The vast majority of the driving public does not care one iota what kind of transmission is in their car as long as it doesn't fail prematurely; if anything, to the average driver, a CVT feels smoother and more refined in day to day driving.
@ , I don’t want one regardless of the efficiency of a CVT. And neither does a significant amount of the car buying public. And if you don’t think greed is behind the decontenting of cars and the use of inferior cheaper parts like the CVT you are living in a fantasy land. The car manufacturers give you one seat back pocket instead of two. How much do you think that costs?
As an owner of 4 Nissans until they fix their issues with their cvt’s, I in good conscience cannot support Nissan any longer. Nissan wake up, your better than that

I hope this starts a trend of automakers putting out solid, affordable cars without too much bloat. This one seems like a real winner.
I just bought Nissan kicks 2025 SV awd, they changed everything and I love it ❤
Congrats!

That’s awesome, congrats on your new Kicks and thanks for sharing your ownership experience so far!
Its a impressive vehicle from Nissan for what it is good basic transportation at a good price.

Thank you, I’m glad you liked the video!
I’ve been waiting for this!
I really like the styling of this, seems like Nissan is putting in a real effort again with their products. I hope this does well, great review Matt!
Thanks!

Matt...thanks for another Great review!!! It’s nice to know that you recommend a vehicle that’s affordable for most.

The second Nissan releases a hybrid, I’m sprinting over to the dealership. If these sell in the numbers we expect, a hybrid could come in no time.
Those wheels ARE sweet!

I love it! I love the scenery even more though, beautiful! Where was this at?? Thanks in advance 😊
Thanks! This was in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
@MattMaranMotoring Thank you! 😊
Can a hitch be installed?, I want to carry bikes

✌🏽❤️✊🏽
Glad its a good little vehicle, we need more. I prefer sedans tho 😅
seems to be a solid choice for a teenager's first car
Nice kicks
Honestly this is why I still would like key ignition to be optional XD BTW, how have you been, Matt?
I’m good, I hope you’ve been well too!
wonder how you compare this to the kia seltos?
Seltos is a little pricier but has some nice extra features like cooled seats and the extra power.
Shame the SR didn’t offer more HP. 😢
Think nissan good chassis comfort only downside is the cvt
Its a big win until scotty kilmer does a fake video on it where all he’s gonna do is negative about the kicks and nissan in general
Scotty’s irrelevant now.
No reviewer ever talks about him for good reason
For real, the maverick has proven to be a pretty reliable truck, and he called it junk.
@@naveenthemachine the guy is far from irrelevant. Check his view counts
@ he only looks at the past not the current and future.
My question to you is this better then a rougue sport awd !!!
Definitely
@ okay thanks alot for your input!!😁😁😁… cheers
We had a Kicks a few years ago, and loved it…until we needed to merge onto the freeway. Too slow! 🐌

Too bad the trax doesn’t have AWD but it has that turbo as a negative; this car has AWD available and no turbo but has a CVT hmmm decisions.
Why can't they just use 6 speed automatic
$$$$$$$$$$
Because nobody whos shopping for a sub compact cares
Because they will make less profit as a torque converter automatic is much more expensive to build. Greed…..

Too bad the engine can't punch above its weight. Too bad we don't get a 3 cyl turbo in it.
Too bad that everything to you is too bad.
Ugliest thing I’ve ever seen and my dad owns a 2012 Honda crosstour
