The Most Beautiful Track I've Ever Ridden

Those of you that've been around for a while, might remember 'A Weekend in Dirt Bike Paradise'? Specifically the bit where we attempted to complete that overgrown old trail through the native, New Zealand forest... Well we got lost that time and had to turn back, but when I was up there again just recently, farmer Dave told me he'd since put a road in to trap possums. So, whilst everybody else was busy being hungover, I went up there alone to try and complete it! And what I found, blew me away...

For those of you not sure what I'm talking about in the video, some mates and I tried to ride this trail two years ago and got lost in the overgrowth! Farmer Dave has since put this road in to trap possums though, so what I was expecting to be a battle... turned out to be a blast!

You're lucky having these tracks. Everywhere I ride with my 9 yr old son in this area (Nelson) you need a bloody permit, insurance and club membership. It never used to be like these back in the day. All this land and nowhere to go.

Thia is my situation as well, need permit to gain access to trails, insurance, front and back light and a left hand side mirror. I've managed to install all these accessories without killing my yz250fx's look.

@@TraviNomotion at least SCORRA advocates for us dirt riders. I'll pay for a trail pass any day if it means I can keep riding.
You've always got northern Ontario crown land too, but good luck getting through a lot of that on a bike haha!

Great looking track, but take it easy around the livestock - the farmer will be pissed if his sheep get injured trying to get out of your way. And then you lose access to such an awesome area to ride.

AWESOME. I'm possibly moving back to the Nelson region this year. Almost no editing (woohoo...nice for a change). No other bikes to distract on this vid. That was cool too in this setting. That is such a primo track!
