- BRUTAL DOOM Power Fantasy Weapon Showcase a fork of Brutal Doom v21 made by Wolvexus, in this one as the title suggests, our arsenal is SLIGHTLY overpowered. There are some new weapons added to the arsenal such as Sniper Rifle or a silent Crossbow that does not alert anyone but every weapon can be upgraded with even stronger firemode or ammunition type. Keep in mind that this is a joke modification that can be never taken extremely serious, as some upgrades, sound effects and enemies are over the top in terms of being cheesy.

Here is an in-depth explanation as to everything that is changed
Starting health bumped up to 150
Some monsters were merged in from the XVME monster expansion with tweaked damage
Sniper zombie - The meme monster of the mod.
Some ammo values were also tweaked to compensate for the amount used with upgrades
Chainsaw - Removed (too many sprites to rework, no feasible upgrade)
Axe - Removed (no feasible upgrade)
Flamerthrower - Removed (no feasible upgrade)
Revenant Cannons - Were in earlier versions, now removed (too cheese-heavy)
Light tank - Machine gun fires explosive rounds, cannon fires an incendiary BFG rocket
Heavy tank - Machine guns fire explosive rounds, cannon fires a BFG nuke
Mech - Blasters fire plasma BFG balls, machine guns fire piercing rounds, launchers fire BFG and fragmentation rockets
Helicopter - Machine gun fires explosive rounds, launcher fires fragmentation rockets
HMG turret - Mobile, alternate mode fires explosive rounds
Grenades - Explode with a BFG ball effect, alt throw sends out numerous BFG balls in all directions
Fists - Stronger damage, berserk adds the BFG effect
Pistol - Faster firing, higher damage, can be burst fired, more ammo. Upgrade fires a sonic projectile that can launch objects into the air. Upgrade alt fires a ricocheting sonic projectile
Desert Eagle - Stronger bullets, more ammo. Upgrade fires a blue laser
Sub machinegun - Faster firing, higher damage, more ammo. Upgrade fires caustic projectiles with AoE damage
Pump shotgun - Higher damage, additional pellets, tighter spread, more ammo. Upgrade fires piercing plasma pellets
Assault shotgun - Higher damage, tighter spread, additional pellets. Upgrade fires piercing sabot slugs
Super shotgun - Higher damage, tighter spread, additional pellets. Upgrade fires explosive pellets
Assault rifle - Faster firing, higher damage, more ammo. Upgrade fires piercing in plasma bullets
Machinegun - Higher damage, tighter spread. Upgrade fires incendiary bullets and a thermal grenade
Minigun - Higher damage, tighter spread. Upgrade fires piercing plasma bullets
Sniper rifle - Highest damage out of all bullet based guns. Upgrades fires an explosive bullet
Grenade launcher - Higher damage. Upgrade fires a nail dispersing fragmentation grenade, upgrade alt fires a rocket that emits nails as it travels
Rocket launcher - Higher damage. Upgrade fires BFG rockets
Plasma rifle - Higher damage, more ammo. Upgrade fires incendiary plasma balls
Rail gun - Faster firing, higher damage. Upgrade fires an ultrasonic projectile
BFG 9000 - Higher damage. Fires a DOOM 2016-esque BFG ball with tracers. Upgrade fires an incendiary BFG ball with more AoE dispersion
BFG 10K - Higher damage. Upgrade fires a plasmatic BFG ball
Mancubus cannon - Higher damage. Upgrade fires a foul smelling, corrosive projectile
Unmaker - Higher damage. Upgrades fires 3 corrosive lasers
MP40 - Higher damage, more ammo. Upgrade fires explosive MP40s
Hitler's buzzsaw - Higher damage. Upgrade fires explosive Nazis
Nuclear missile launcher - Upgrade fires a marine that spawns in several helper marines that detonate after a short time
Crossbow - Fires a piercing arrow. Upgrade fires a caustic arrow with a small acidic AoE
There is an item that nullifies most self-damage from upgrades, the Ballistic Armor
Berserk packs can be replaced by a backpack or upgrade
Backpacks can be replaced by a berserk pack or upgrade
All upgrades consume 2x ammo and can spawn off the original weapon

The fart gun is, by far, the most cruel weapon I've ever seen. Thank god death comes quickly for those struck by it.

the mp40's shell casings became mp40s which is hilarious
Just add some god level monsters like in god complex and this would be super fun. I think that mod is super fun, but it just looks so messy as it has basically everything. But the overall idea is great.
Afaik that mod won't be updated anymore.

I wish the BFG didn't have self damage like in Doom 3. I know it all depends on distance and remaining space around the player, but still -ugh.
Also, I forgot how good Sgt Mark IV is at coding a clean and stable mod after soley playing the latest (wip) build(s) of PB3. Runs smooth even amongst the gore fountain of the chaingun and BFG explosions.
Teoretycznie - kolejny zajebisty mod pod slaughter mapy. Praktycznie - FPS polecą na łeb na szyję i tyle z grania :P
Co tu strzępić ryja? GZDoom itp. nie radzi sobie z dużą ilością obiektów na ekranie i tyle
Tutaj nawet Vulkan nie pomoże :)
To kwestia kompatybilności z DOOMem który był tworzony z myślą o 30-letnich komputerach
@@jakubturlinski7159 Źle mnie zrozumiałeś, niczego tu nie krytykuję, jestem świadomy ograniczeń GZDooma i innych portów. Jedyne co, to żałuję że takich fajnych modów jak tutaj prezentowanych nie można w pełni wykorzystywać na takich slaughter mapach :)

Fart Gun? Bruh WTF?!?!
I love PF, except I stick to one of the betas, as I'm not a fan of some of the enemy replacements. And also the later versions removed the "glassy" spin-down sound from the minigun in laser mode (which I loved).

Also, doesn't the nuke launcher have an upgrade as well? I think I saw it in the script
Can you elaborate what you mean by "glassy?" I removed the revenant launchers as I found them too easy to cheese with and yes, the nuke launcher has a helper marine upgrade
@@wolvexus perhaps glassy is not the proper word here, but that sound was later on still present on spin-down when you first use alt fire to spin-up the minigun.

@@wolvexus thx, no biggie. Actually I'm not sure this would exactly fit now, as you removed the spin-down (not just the sfx, the animation as well) from normal fire mode in later BDPF versions (it remained in alt-fire mode only).

Btw I got a question regarding the weapon upgrades
How do you start with the upgrades?
You spammed "summon upgradespawner" before recording, or do you have like a list of all uogrades, or maybe an option that I missed that allows you wich upgrades do you want pistol start?
I tried implementing a cvar toggle to give a random upgrade at the start of a wad, which worked, except it froze the player when enabled and I couldn't figure out how to fix it so I scrapped it unfortunately.
The command to give all upgrades and the Ballistic Armor is give the goodshit
