    I'm starting to notice how every time you post an 'uncrowning the champion' analysis, the fencer you analyse keeps going out in the early rounds of world cup and grand prix competitions LOL

    Great analysis - although a minor quibble might be that UR's blade is fairly level - it's probably his height that makes it seem high. Max Heinzer, by contrast, has a high en guard, probably to counter the height of his opponents. But very much enjoyed the analysis and the fencing.

      +EastbourneEscrime You're right about the blade being level, one added advantage of that is it is hard for an opponent to find the blade and knock it around. Ulrich does like to be on top to get the better angle on the counter-attack.
