Strictly speaking, this is not a typographic system but an organisational system that can be applied to any element of design. Eg. Line, colour, primitives, type etc:. Typographic systems are specific to the organisation of letters within typography. You can also refer to visual hierarchy, scale juxtaposition etc as significant to any organisational element which are not covered here but significant to the way in which something is read.
Been a designer for over a decade and this is such a great explanation. You’ve clearly tried a lot of different video approaches, and this format really shines, glad this video is being recommended to more people. Wish you lots of success! ☀️
Thank you so much ... I was going nuts for details ... For my assignment on book design !!! ❤❤❤ Can you make a video of how to select fonts in details? That would be helpful..
@@faciodesignreal it's a collection of surface design patterns based a particular geographical area for industrial design (metal based , engraving technique) but I don't want it to be simply a collection of pattern as it lacks information about behind the story about that geographical area . In a nutshell, I want this book design to be beyond the editorial design .. it should incorporate emotional design and ux principles as we are approaching this book design as a product design with hardcore research. It would be an image dominated book incorporating a lot of inspiration boards after each topic with adequate text (not text heavy) . It's more like a trend analysis book !
In my opinion, I think the modular system was used . Check this breakdown out . www.tumblr.com/calmack/91739097952/emil-ruder-10-zürcher-maler-poster-grid-layout
@@AnaCarolina-me7oy yeah I stumbled upon that also , I can see how it can be considered both . It’s important to remember that these are just guidelines.

@@faciodesignrealbut you don’t agree, I predict. 😂.
@@washedtoohot you are correct , but we are all entitled to our opinions.
@@faciodesignreal a healthy discussion about this topic would be interesting. It’s not so much about who’s right or wrong for me 🫡
@@washedtoohot I stand corrected. I'm always open for more dialogue.
Really nice to have all of these systems in 1 video for easy reference for my designs. Great content.
Glad it was helpful!

Remember these are just guidelines! And like all rules , they are meant to be broken !
Hii, could you say what sytem is used in the Zürcher Maler poster?
