I'll be bringing you a LIVE recap after every finals session (around 5PM EST) with 4k quality! Thanks for your patience as I get all the logistics setup and tuning in!
When you look at Olympic swimming results....Remember US population is 300 Million +; ..Australian population around 28 Million; Australia has less than 10% of American population, so per head of population, Australian swimming results are outstanding. But Americans always conveniently forget to take that into account.
sure the populations are quite different. if you dig a little and look at how many people participate in organized swimming, thats a little surprising.
Thank you for the stat presentation, Fares. (I admit I have to Wiki you to know who you are.) We Americans consciously/subconsciously know there's a huge pop. gap, we just don't take into account what we don't know: the organized swimming rate for each country, which I'd reckon is much higher per cap. for AUS. It's understandable that the USA with it's excessive interest in its major professional sports and their ridiculously-high salaries for the standouts would neglect 'lesser' sports like volleyball and swimming, especially in terms of tall men and black athletes. I suspect the federal gov't sponsorship involvement in certain Olympic sports in many foreign countries is what keeps them quite competitive with the USA, which has to heavily rely on its expansive college scholarship programs to produce Olympic-caliber athletes.
Small countries always making excuses, then go around and brag about everything nice in their countries every year where there’s no Olympics. America somehow kept this whole continent together under one flag, and let’s in more immigrants that anywhere in the world and still remains a great place to live. Yes we have more people, but that’s our advantage…we will use it once every 4 years to win a bunch of medals.
Was just watching the replay. Mens 400 relay was awesome , women’s 400 relay so tight . US was 3rd and managed to steal the second place at the 250mark. So exciting
Love how you go into detail and explain...im watching from Australia and when i miss the finals i know i can view your videos... simply awesome and cheers❤
The olympics are not the environment for peak performance. It’s not the pool being slow. They are sleeping on cardboard single beds, walking a mile to the food hall, etc.
Someone please bring to the attention of Olympic principals the unfairness of swimming pool lanes, the closer the swimmer is to the outside lanes the better the chances of losing no how good one is, my observation is that only those who occupy centre lanes always win coz of less drag
This is a good observation. It has less to do with the lane itself and more so the swimmer in the lane. The lane assignments are determined by qualifying heats. So because of that the fastest swimmers from the qualifying rounds are placed in the center lanes.
no UA-cam channel will be showing any races or clips of races other than official broadcast partners like NBC in the United States. Watch the full race there and come back fro my commentary here!
Go Australia! All Aussie athletes are the best constantly punching way above their weight! AUS: 23 million vs USA: 300 million Funny no one counts that in their biased commentary! #AussieAussieAussie
I want to express that this situation is 100% of the pills, One reason why United States are so angry is that they can't understand why they can't swim after taking medicine, is it because the medicine is not enough? There is such a magical Olympic team, and everyone in the swimmers has asthma; All gymnasts have ADHD; Track and field players are generally depressed, and at first glance they look like a Paralympic team, but this is the United States team of the Summer Olympics! 653 United States athletes applied for a doping drug exemption, and 402 passed, accounting for 61.5%; An Olympic team where almost everyone takes drugs asks you if it's magical
Just noticed that Huske very nearly got the US DQd in the relay with a 0.00 response time. Very lucky. Unfortunately Meg Harris just failed to qualify for an individual swim for Australia, but she was 0.4s faster than Shayna Jack here, which actually is not unusual between those two. That 100m final is going to be a close run affair with about 5 or 6 good chances. I don't think O'Callaghan can afford to give up the kind of lead she often does on the first lap.
Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996. Men's Swimming. Individual Gold medals in Men's Swimming. 2 USA. Jeff Rouse. Brad Bridgewater. Tom Dolan. only (3) three Individual Gold medals. 1. RUS. Alexander Popov. Denis Pankratov. only (4) four Individual Gold medals. Men's Swimming. Individual Gold medals in Men's Swimming. Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996 check: USA 🇺🇸 - RUS.🇷🇺. 3 - 4.
THANKS A LOT! Watching from Russia. Those stupid f-s blocked the Olympics from viewing for us. Keep it coming. Great job. By the way enjoying your myswimpro app.
It's hard to watch the performance of American swimmers in this ongoing Olympics it's shameful .... Now the best Americans can do in a swimming competition is to win a bronze medal and it's celebrated like crazy .... It's sad that Americans can no longer produce even one world class swimmer both men and women to win a gold medal .... In a few years America will disappear from the world's swimming map .....
You are probably Alive - but you are NOT live, as that intimates it is being broadcast in real time, which is isn't and I wish bloggers would understand that.
@@FaresKsebati I am sorry Fraser, what people watch IS NOT live, it is what you did! PAST TENSE> But thank you any way, and you are incredibly USA centric - do you even know that?

I completely agree. I think we’re seeing that on display now!
The pool is also shallower, the food is substandard and the logistics from village to conpetition venue is horrendous
Someone please bring to the attention of Olympic principals the unfairness of swimming pool lanes, the closer the swimmer is to the outside lanes the better the chances of losing no how good one is, my observation is that only those who occupy centre lanes always win coz of less drag
