There is magnetic shielding around the mid channel magnets that makes them look so big. Still great sounding speakers.

Actually what you were looking at on the back of the center drivers is magnetic shielding so that it can be placed near old TV's

I have one of these and it just gave out a couple of month ago. Infinity (now Harmon Kardon?) suggested the problem is probably a capacitor and I've heard they're easy to replace--but how did you actually get the back off? I unscrewed 10 screws but have nothing to grab to pull out the board. Any hints? I was anticipating that moment in your video but it got left on the cutting room floor, haha.

lol, or maybe I didn't film that part. And I can't really remember. Hold on a sec. Let me re-watch my own video...

Ok, I see. So basically what you probably have to do, (what I probably did) is to stick a flat blade screwdriver in the edge and gently pry it out, working down the edge in several places. Of course I had the luxury of not having to be careful but it looks like it came out clean. I suppose you could gently tug on the power cord too.

@@AutistiVision Thanks for the response! I (almost) never post anything and assumed I'd get notified on any replies... Anyway, I'll give it a try. Not much left to lose at this point!
