It's true, Suede are influenced by Bowie and The Smiths but also it's true that they're younger than them and, to me, at the moment of Brit-Pop boom, they were the best band.
You saw beauty, amongst the pain, you saw me standing, in the rain, I was drenched from head to toe, when all your words began to flow, and painted the sad man, a Rainbow 🌈
This will always remind me of: “Quisiera esta tarde divina de octubre, pasear por la orilla lejana del mar; que la arena de oro, y las aguas verdes, y los cielos puros me vieran pasar” -Storni
Suede are one of the best bands in the world,I miss them really much...enjoy with Tears and Brett´s music right now.Brett went born to be a singer and a poet, his voice is simply perfect!.He makes you feel music as anyone else do.He´s an ARTIST!.Greetings from Spain.
Why is this man not acknowledged as one of the greatest ever frontmen. Effortlessly charismatic and puts so much emotion into every performance. love this song and i don't think i have ever seen him do a duff performance of it. Pure brilliance. Roll on Brixton in May
She can walk out anytime, anytime she wants to walk out, that's fine, She can walk out anytime, anytime she feels that life has passed her by, And when I start my new life I won't touch the ground, I'm gonna try hard this time not to touch the ground. He can walk out anytime, anytime he wants to walk out, that's fine, He can walk out anytime, across the sand, into the sea, into the brine, And when I start my new life I won't touch the ground, I1m gonna try hard this time not to touch the ground. So we sold the car and quit the job and shook some hands and wiped the make-up right off, And we said our good-byes to the bank left Seven Sisters for a room in a seaside shack, And when I start my new life I won't touch the ground, I'm gonna try hard this time not to touch the ground? ...it's by the sea we'll breed ...into the sea we'll bleed...
By the Sea, yep that was scary for me, at the time it was fine, he was a talented musician friend of mine. We played Elton John songs on his Piano. I felt safe, until 25 years later, when I googled that place. And you’ll never get a true conversation out of me, for everything I say is poetry!
Brett Anderson é um puro alquimista. Melhor escritor e como performer bate quem vier. A emoção o drama a poesia e inteligência conjugam se e nasce a obra de arte
it pretty much depends on the song. This one sounds good live as good as it does on the cd, but Beautiful Ones for example is so much better on the record.
@depechemode1992 i well know of suedes contribution to britpop, but id actually go further to the Stone Roses or the Smiths as the catalysts...suede were the announcers of the era proper id say tho for sure
not sure about poetry and crystals but yes the man does have talent. 'Poetry and Crystals' sounds like a rough attempt at trying to title one of their albums to me.
all suede singles are brilliant but they are in fact easily counted and not at all countless. No need to edit your posts but going forward please be more judicious in your use of "countless" Thank you, Mr Wonderfulization.

2020 still listening to Suede best album ever in 90s
Brett is pure beauty. His voice is like poetry or crystals.
The elegance and the style that Suede have are doubtless.
This song is absolute perfection! One of the most moving songs i ever heard!
I'm a songwriter and this track is top drawer....and that voice.A true class talent. My favourite front man.
Agreed, man. Both Brett and Suede, sadly overlooked and underrated.
This is my best favorite and I always cry to listen this song
To me, they are immortal. Forever young. Forever beautiful.
You saw beauty, amongst the pain, you saw me standing, in the rain, I was drenched from head to toe, when all your words began to flow, and painted the sad man, a Rainbow 🌈
Suede....1996

brett is too beautiful for his own good. physically and spiritually.

The Title Alone Has Intrigued Me, As I Go By The Sea

Suede are back. I hope you are still around and enjoy Suede. 🇬🇧
Tens toda a razão. A capacidade poética de Brtee Anderson é notável. E escreve com uma elegância

Because Albarn and Gallagher were more 'marketable', Blur were on the cover of Smash Hits for god's sake lol

What an artist! Brett is just so...so...ahh, can't find the right expression.
Perfect performer.
"It's by the sea we'll breed...
Into the sea we'll bleed"..............romantic, soulful and devastatingly beautiful!

@vandam840 why would albarn dislike brett? he's the one that got his ex from brett...
The gear fixed that.
seriously i would prefer to meet brett anderson over robert pattinson
Met him and the band. Even chatted with them. They were just so lovely and kind, especially Brett.
@vandam840 More likely to be Noel Gallagher :p
