Problem is that it seems to not be tracking the "play a game on console" for a bunch of people, myself included. I got the 3 points but that's it
I finally got it, but had to wait over 30 minutes before it finally showed. Even playing Jewel took almost that long even though the reward is for completing 1 level.
@@ScottBaker_for Jewel I've found it works better if you beat the level and start a new one, and play a few moves in the next level
Dang you only got 3 points for that? I'm getting 10 and 5 for jewel. Yeah I saw a few people on twitter complaining it's not tracking or super delayed. Hopefully they fix it before the weeks out or they'll be inundated with tickets from everyone trying to get the points.

Play a game on console points didn't unlock for me for a while, I think you have to play a game for certain time!! Then eventually it unlocks
The loss of 250 points per day for just playing with a friend on PC is a massive blow to my balance, plus if the auto redeem discounts disappear then it looks like we'll be paying for ultimate going forward which I'm probably not prepared to do.

It's something, but I do miss the extra points on the mobile app for having Game Pass and at least 7 friends. And, the 5 points each for looking at various game offers on the console app.
Currently as it is if the reduction in points stays as it is I expect to earn around 10,000 points a month less unless they add quite a lot extra once this new rewards system takes over. As it is with the play with friends on pc going that's lost 250 points per day.
I wouldn't mind them bringing punch cards back, as long as they actually registered that you did the tasks. But of course, it's Microsoft, so it would probably be glitchy.
I would be earning, according to me, around 8000 points monthly, you?
Let's just hope this works better than the play a pc game online. Never seemed to work losing out 250 points a day.
Doesn't it only give 20 points for playing a pc game?
Sometimes you had to do it first thing in the morning because you never knew but I consistently got them every day
@@AceBountyHunterRex they use to do play a pc game and play a pc game online, the online one was 100 points and when completed with all other you got bonus points. Problem is it didn't work most of the time and they got rid of it after 2 weeks.

So I guess the 1000 points and 2500-point streak bonuses are gone for good? I wonder how many game pass subs they will lose when the people using points to pay for it no longer can.
This is a completely valid question, I am one that primarily uses my points for my GP Ultimate subscription. I'm on SSI, I get $889 a month to live on, getting GPU is going to be rough for me now.
Not a bad way to soften the pain of removing our beloved weekly streak. I play my eccy box everyday so this won't be a problem for myself.

For people who have limited space on their PCs, I am able to get it to pop with the Microsoft games, I play Mahjong and Jigsaw. There is also Solitaire and Sudoku and one other that I can't think of.
UPDATE 3/27/24: Some people have asked about whether the console bonus and/or the new "Play a game on console" task can be completed with a non-Game Pass game (like something you might have purchased). In my testing, this does appear to work with purchased Series X|S games. Happy hunting! 😊🏅

My play a game on console hasn’t worked since they introduced it, even though I’ve spent quite a while playing The Quarry and getting a number of achievements from it.
Is anyone else having the same issue? I’ve tried playing games on my console and cloud based games, but it’s made no difference and I’ve been on for around 1.5 hours again tonight.
Same issue here! I don’t think that has popped for me EVER! I’ve tried game pass games, owned games, played for more than 30 minutes a day etc and nothing :( I only have one Xbox account on my console so it’s definitely not because I’m signed into another either
@@IvyLilley You might need to sign up to rewards first. I had to make an account to start getting points, but that was 6 years ago no idea if they changed it.
It works for me but it'd delayed by a day. If I play on Monday, it won't show up that I played a day until Tuesday.
Trying playing different games. Also start up games I found that quick resume doesn’t work sometimes.
@@JohnPaul-rs5dr Like I said, I’ve tried playing games installed on my console and via the cloud. That’s at least 7-8 Gamepass games it’s not worked for.

The “play a game on console” seems sketchy to me. Doesn’t seem to register and then it just kinda randomly does. Still hasn’t registered mine yet today.
It takes a while but eventually it works for me.
Mine sort of worked the first week, now it isn't tracking at all.

@@raidengoodman8754 most people in the US are able to get 13k a month as a free member so yeah its possible to indefinitely get game pass free. If you add in all the game pass quests it's possible to get 20k+ a month which covers game pass and lets you build towards free games/dlc and other things.

Long time Bing member who just jumps through all the hoops I can to earn some gift cards and get some cool stuff...almost everything has an adjustment period while they work out the specifics of their goals. Interesting change and I will try to make the most of it. Your videos have helped tremendously and can't thank you enough.

True! Even the streak on the Bing app is huge. After 34 day streak, you get 150 EXTRA points every 10 days for just clicking through the little articles.

What about the lump of 6 that show every Thursday… in the app the drop 6 searches for 5 points each

I'm having the same issue. The weekly console bonus & play a game on console is not working multiple days in a row now. I think it only worked for me one time, so I've never been able to complete the 5 days bonus.
Can confirm, cloud gaming works for us PC folks. I played a xbox 360 game just to be safe...but I'm sure it'll work with any game via cloud. (Which means if you don't own a console, you HAVE to be ultimate to get this as PC pass can't cloud game.)

I played dragon origins(xbox360) via steam deck. It only worked once so far.
Getting kind of annoyed by the unreliability of the rewards activating/giving credit.
As of right now, it looks like it's over 12k a month for me. So I'll be able to keep getting game pass for free if auto redeem discount goes away.
I don't see them getting rid of the auto redeem if anything they'll just up the price like they did with the xbox gift cards
Ah, good to know. By coincidence, my Xbox's hard drive died a few days before this appeared on the Xbox mobile app. For a moment I thought the offer was being made because I hadn't logged in through the console in a while but I realized there's no way MS Rewards has that level of per user customization 😄
Is anyone else having issues with the 2 daily gamepass quests?
Yes, I’m very annoyed. I’m 1 daily quest away from the monthly 1000 points and it runs out tomorrow. I’ve played three different GP games and got an achievement and neither have popped. Being British, I shall be extremely miffed and tut loudly if I don’t get my 1000 points before popping the kettle on and having a cup of tea.

You to on 3/29/24 and 3/30/2024 I played coffee talk 2 on game pass and well still waiting for them to accept that I played COFFEE TALK 2 ON GAME PASS.
Thankfully, it’s now crediting today’s and yesterday’s dailies so I was able to get my 1000 points. I was a bit worried, being Easter weekend, that it wouldn’t be fixed in time. Doesn’t stop me having a cup of tea though 😀

Does any one try to redeem points and all you get is a black screen? It’s put me off trying to get points in future as I don’t know if I’ll be able to redeem them when I want something

Thank you for the explanation. They really didn't have much information about it when they rolled this out. Didn't even know where the tab was until this video..lol... over 15 minutes?.. wow.. Sadly I've been on a reward streak for over 2 1/2 years which will be going away soon with no substitution it appears. Don't know if I will be as dedicated now as it is getting harder to earn rewards for alot less.

Kinda bummed about this weekly console streak bonus arriving just when I'm about to travel for a few weeks without it. I wonder if I'll even be able to do the monthly quest for April on the road now.
I don't know how core works, but they could add 15pts to people who own that if they don't own ultimate.
Core only gets points for playing on each of the platforms. So 45/day US. And 250 for the weekly streak if that works.

Has anyone else’s weekly bonus award reset back to 1 day out of 5 since the Bing outage earlier? I should have been on 4/5.
Mine keeps resetting. I play on Monday and Tuesday and have two "blocks" filled in but each Wednesday it resets and I start again. That still gives me 5 days to play so I have been able to get the reward by playing Wednesday to Sunday. However today (Sunday) it has reset again to just one block and that obviously makes it impossible to get the reward. I have reported it but haven't yet had a reply.

What app is this? The gamepass app does not seem to work and there is no "Jewel" to be found. And 'Play on console' seems broken too. Played about 2 hours of Brotato on my Series X and it did not pop.

Playing on a console doesn't work for me. I tried all day. Hours and hours with 5 different games across both my Xbox's and the cloud. The same is happening again today it seems.
So out of curiosity what's a game one could use to get the pc points since i don't game on pc for xbox.
I use the Microsoft Solitaire Collection for PC. You can download it through the PC Xbox app. 😀🏅

Any one know if the weekly console bonus is bugged or something? Do you have to do it consecutively or for a certain period of time? I play every day and it is still at day one for me and not counting my played days even though I have got the other points such as play a game on console. I'll probably submit a support ticket to Microsoft rewards in this regard.
How many points per day do you guys from the USA get?

I’m personally subscribed to ultimate. You get a much larger selection of games, including most of the games that I feature here on the Rewards Hunter channel. You also have access to play the games on the cloud. 😀🏅

@@thefourhorsemen3159You definitely won’t be getting more points, I was very rarely under 25,000 points a month, was over 30,000 sometimes. I think it will be around 10,000 a month now. They have been removing points every week for months now.
I personally like this more. And I can use my ultimate to get extra points so no complaints here😂

I know for the 10 point quest to play a console game, you can use a non-Game Pass game. I did it yesterday with a game that I had purchased on my own. I'm guessing that might work here as well, but I haven't tested it just yet since it's Day 1 of this new bonus. I can try it this week and let you know though. 😊🏅

If your asking why the new system is implemented already, I'm guessing it was so they already had something in place and working for when the app goes away
Yes, the older Rewards App continues to function until around April 15th, but I think they wanted to quickly let us know that they had something in mind to kind of replace the weekly streaks. IMO they should have updated everything simultaneously, but that's just my 2 cents. 😊🏅

UAE is on the list of countries where the program is active (support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/microsoft-rewards-regions-9795ec47-c0f4-a33e-aede-738903359d63), but you'd have to test it there to know for sure. 😊🏅
So far all the changes are awful. Getting a lot less points while they upped the points needed for redemptions.
I'm only at my console four days out of the seven, so I just hope a Cloud function still allows me to get the points or I will have to take drastic measures 🙄

I’ve been using it for the past month or so too… except the weekly bonus for having GPU was an extra 250 points instead of 25. Lame that they changed that amount too!
