Regarding the chemlight: tie a 2' length of string to it. If you are out in the field in darkness, activate the light and spin it. It will aid searchers in locating you.

I like your reviews because they are honest and realistic, benefiting from your professional experience. The company has made a good product that offers reasonable value, and seems suited for the mid-level provider or as a back-up for EMS members.
I see the biggest issue is the overall lack of organization, especially given the practical limitations of the basic packaging. It's a single-use kit, as most common scenarios would likely contaminate the contents, especially if the provider is reaching into the bag with bloody gloves (which is actually an argument to support the inclusion of individually wrapped items). The provider could perform a content dump to sort through the essential items for application to the patient, but that just introduces the opportunity for losing stuff.
The content is mostly OK, although I would ditch the chem light, elastic TQ and AS reference card (personal preference, YMMV). The replacement offer is definitely generous, and I would be curious to hear a follow-up to confirm that the policy is honored.

From your review I would sum up my impression of this particular kit as; Meh!!! Don't get me wrong it appears well thought out conceptually however' narrow in scope (as you somewhat indicated). A well produced video as usual. ;)

Respect bro, I am a security guard here in Ontario Canada, I have a tourniquet by recon medical, and a small firstaid kit
Hey man, word of advice. Please make sure the windlass for your tourniquet is not plastic. I understand that Recon Medical sells cheap alternative tourniquets to North American Rescues, but the price difference isnt huge and the quality is definitely alot different. If you are deadset on using Recon Medical due to how cheap they are then I suggest only purchasing the metal windlass types and only ever using a new one for dealing with a patient as they can get worn down and not function properly when the time comes to save a life.

Ditch the recon. The internal tension band is not welded appropriately and does not have the take-up other TQs have making it prone to snapping and not getting enough tension. I have heard anecdotal reports of the windless (even the metal version) breaking at the rivet point. Plus the company gets sue happy with content creators that point these things out.

Hey sam, for some reason my mind just exploded onto a binge of wanting to learn how to use a first aid kit and know how to deploy aid for certain situations. Weird. But I found your channel and watched many videos just to learn what to build my first ever kit with. I do realize that I live a life where im not going to encounter the types of danger that would bring use or a tourniquet. But I never know. I visit the websites in the links you've provided and I was wondering, What would you recommend as my first kit? Maybe something to buy and then upgrade and add on some stuff if I may ask. You have mentioned that "hypothermia kills" in many of your videos, and have, likewise, mentioned liking that kits include mylar blankets. But, you also mention that these blankets are not enough, in and of themselves. What things-short of blankets or coats-can laymen use in conjunction with the survival blankets to keep trauma victims warm enough until EMS arrives?
Looking for a serious glass breaker that will work in public transportation, like thick glasses in commuter trains or the windshield of a public bus you must get out of, Does anyone know what glass breakers that actually can break through such thick glass easily?
I looked at the Leatherman glass breaker bit that comes in the Skeletool RX and also looked at the Victorinox Rescue tool…. but anyone I speak to that know these tools doubt they break the windows of public transport vehicles like trains and buses… What do you guys know and can recommend me to look into.. please link me what you seen work in such situations. Thank you for a great video, will get one of these kits!
Public Transit should have a Latch and not require breaking.
My 2 Defender style pens from amazon were only $16 CAD and have a glass breaker on one end.
You're essentially paying for the deployable pouch? The ifak itself can be put together for well under $100.

Nice kit, but three (NAR mini-responder, SWAT-T, vacuum-packed stretchwrap) variants of what are essentially compression bandages, and only 4 ft of gauze (that's the number you were looking for - the LE variant is 3x longer), hemo or otherwise? I'd swap out one of the three wraps, probably the SWAT-T, for a three-dollar package of z-fold gauze for a ton more utility, especially if you added the option for a second TCCC-approved TQ and don't need the rubber band backup.
In a pinch, you can wrap with packing gauze, but you can't pack a wound with a compression bandage.
Yeah I feel its a bit to little gauze in that kit too. One compressed gauze and a full size clotting gauze should be in a kit this large ideally.
Do you have any reviews up for their trauma kits that are more geared toward law enforcement use? I know you mentioned this around 10:16 in the video.

Question on the SWAT-T: what benefit does it add compared to using an ACE wrap for the same applications?
An ace wrap might be on the weaker side for legs and its a bit hard to get it to stay on when bloody or dirty. One trick i like do to is to make a small loop at the end of the ace bandage then you can pull the roll through and get a big loop that makes it easier to get started wrapping in a hurry.
If you needed the kit that badly I bet you could use the shears to cut everything open- except the chest seals, that could be messy
For duty belt application I feel like the Responder IFAK would be thinner and easier/more comfortable to carry, would you say this is the case or not? Thank you!

Heavy, annoying to unfold and re-fold in emergency situations, hard to clean, corrode pretty fast….

All you get is 4 feet of QuickClot (not the regular version which has 4 yards) and no packing gauze, not even a 5x9. But you get 3 compression band(ages) with only one of the 3 with any kind of gauze. Strange choice of content. I would much rather see 2 packs of regular compressed gauzes (new NAR gauze is now 3 inches x 5 yards) for less than half the price this mini-QuickClot if I'm going to run around with 3 compression products.
