Pure class Turkish to include Miles' message. You guys do a really fantastic job of bantering with each other and loving on Arsenal FC. Jordan I really appreciate your unwavering effort to say exactly what you believe knowing that everyone will probably dump a big steamy one on it. That shows character - we needed some of that against Villa. Lee always telling us something right now and James' inability to struggle keeping laughter in at the numerous double entendres and innuendos make this a truly awesome show. I was reading a Spurs Hong Kong Facebook fans page, and you will be surprised how much some of the fans hated him, and cursed at Ange for “not getting” the rivalry… they even wanted him fired

Not okay for the manager to have a go at the fans but it's okay for the fans to boo their own players, sing the opposition songs, and cheering the opposite team, essentially mocking their own team and managers efforts? There's a reason why 3 managers, two who are considered world class managers, to call out the club for their defeatist attitude and this specific match is perfect evidence that the fans are no different from the owner to which they complain about. @@eddyededwin

This is the comment I made on this very podcast after we lost 1-0 away to Villa earlier this season:
'Jordan is so inconsistent at times. I vividly remember him (rightly) pointing out that us drawing at Anfield last season was 2 points dropped and that we weren’t ruthless. Now-we lose at Villa in a game where we clearly should’ve won and weren’t ruthless...he’s happy? I don’t get it. We are not in a position to carelessly chuck points away if we want to win this title regardless of whether it's December or in May.'
The point is-we cannot just be on it from January 1st. We have to be on it from day 1. And we can't be so casual about us dropping points earlier in the season if we want to win this title.
We need a defensive masterclass from Moyes' last game.

My grandfather passed away recently, he was 97 years old and an avid arsenal fan…. He’s pretty much the reason I supported them. He used to go every home game he could from the 30’s until the late 70’s when he moved for work. He actually remembered Herbert chapman winning the league.
He was really excited about how the team was going. I was really hoping the team was going to get over the line. Looks like we are just short. But I’m sure he’d be very proud of our team.

Son wanted to score but at the same time he played it to an area that gives the goalkeeper a proper chance of saving it, some goalkeepers wouldn't still save that but playing it to Son's right gives the goalkeeper little or no chance

To summarise our season, I was angry with our inconsistency in the first half of the season, but I am proud of how strong we end the season.
This teams needs to start winning trophies. It is all cool if you are competitive and all that but if you don't win stuff then it is all for nothing.
Players will start to leave because in the end players want trophies. It happened in the past when we lost guys like Hleb, Cecs, Flamini, RVP, Adebayor, etc...

As someone who doesn't live in London it seems like tribalism to me. Wanting your team to lose does not benefit the club, the players or the staff. There is ZERO reason to want your own team to lose a game, ESPECIALLY when champions league was on the line. When you want your team to lose its not about football anymore, because football is a game you play to win.
Factical point one, it is a clear definition of a scenario that is needed. I would love for the rule to state that a pen is only given if a player makes an effort to get out of the way, so a dragged foot won't ever be given again
Some of those 5 draws we had played a strong part in our faltering title charge. The home draw v spuds, the away draw to Chelsea. that Newcastle goal at St. James' park... but the one that makes me think we can actually win it is the loss away to west ham.. if they can pull off a sublime win like they did against us. it will be perfection.

Comradery is a hard thing to find in the world we live in today. Having said that somehow the 4 of you have created it via this podcast and we thank you for it.

Definitely proud of the way we played whole season, but also sad because despite showing so much progress in last couple of season, we might not win a trophy.
We are improving everyday as a team, we have a fantastic manager and team but next season, we must get over the finishing line

Factical point two. We need the VAR to talk live, we have it in Australia in the rugby league, like the cricket and union, and it makes it so clear of what is being looked at. If a rule is broken it is clear.
Pep was leaving nothing to chance with having a dizzied GK, so made that GK substitution, then came the Son chance, which the 100% alert keeper dealt with so well.
When Son missed it, Pep was such in anxiety, his motorboard overloaded, he actually laid down flat on his back on the touchline, for he knew how important that chance was for the title. So did we!
Son seems like a likeable fella but i cursed him to Hell after missing that.
It was a game that both teams needed to win, whilst all we needed was a draw.
It's a surreal feeling leading up to this title deciding matchday, because of CITY being at home to WHU, I can't get excited for the PL, yet, until that is when the day's scores start to unfold.

No points docked for being a few minutes late or dropping points for participating in some dodgy game called unfair play. Settle the lateness on your own. No docked points. This gives us a better look at who is actually the best score predictor.

I thought that Rice quote was after the Porto away game and when it came out again vs Villa it was people misquoting/misinformation trying to make it seem like he said it after the Villa loss.
Ultimately, I’m proud of the team and Arteta. People fail to understand how difficult it is to change the direction of a massive club like Arsenal (think Man U). It will be our time soon.

I think what's happend this season might be the best lesson this group could get. I know it sounds cliche since that might have been said last year but when you reflect back there are several key moments where you can ask, what if?
As early as the fulham game at home where it ended 2-2, the christmas run in with two defeats, the etihad away game, the villa at home game and the list goes on.
Ideally, the group ought to learn from that and avoid losing unnecessary points at the beginning (fulham game at home), be more resilient at home (christmas run in and villa) and be more adventurous at away grounds like the etihad.
Next season should be interesting and i expect Arsenal to reach 90 points by the end of it, whether or not that's sufficient remains to be seen.
Let’s get real what irritates me is why are we talking about spurs and they should have done us a favour we tend to forget we lost at home to villa knowing very well we needed to win… we need a world class striker period

Context is everything people will say we lost it at villa but loising villa game could be the season we won the rest. Could of easily beat villa and draw or lose at united or spurs. Arsenal's home form is better than their away form. Arsenal have 44 points at home and 42 points away from home. Man city lost 5 games last season and 6 games in 2021 and still won the league. Yes its about fine margins, but its a 38 game season with them going deeper in champions league this season, you have to be realistic. I still have a little bit of hope, so we will we wait and see on Sunday.
Havertz should have started that Villa home game up front.

Our home form has not been disappointing. City has made near perfection the key to winning the league. I believe our team has learned that this season. Lee should stop this waffling about home form being disappointing. Unrealistic expectations.
Im super proud of Arteta and the lads. I feel we let ourselves down against Fulham away..we scored first and we were so poor after that...against Villa we played well and missed soo many chances. We shall go again next season hopefully Timber will have a big role to play.
I was first very upset with son when he missed that chance as an Arsenal fan but after thinking over it I later understood where he was coming from. He had a choice to choose between been a Hero by scoring that goal that may had changed history for Arsenals favour and fans who did not want city to win or not score it and be a Hero to his fans and those who did not want Arsenal to win it. So he would either have been remembered as the Dan ba ba or Hazard of Chelsea, who was loved by those fans or the player who had a chance and didn’t score and loved by his fans that don’t want Arsenal to win even if no CL next season so I guess he had made his choice . Also I have seen players score goals because they had to be professional. Walcott scored against us last season in the Southampton even when they did not need it and I don’t think Arsenal fans hate him but instead they respect him for been a professional cos he has to do his job. Imagine if he played that ball wide on an open goal? In the short term we would have been happy with him but that respect of his integrity will be gone and that stays in history. Son is the only person that knows what decision he made that evening and he will live with that as how he was remebered at ‘that Moment in time 😂’
