If I had to make a guess, I'd assume that the devs were going by Minecraft Java Edition's features, not Bedrock Edition's.

The rules for this video are bs. Only certain characters are allowed to use their moves. For example, for some reason Hero is allowed to use his down b, but almost every other character isn’t aloud to.
@@ThatsATHICC_RAY It includes status changes. So that's Shulk's arts, Shulk-Kirby, Wii Fit's deep breathing, Cloud's limit, and Hero's Acceleratle.
Steve's minecart, along with any other movement based special, isn't a status change.
I was surprised by the outcome of this.

I love how they even managed a "running into a wall" animation, unique to every character. Such a cool, unnecessary detail.
Smash has the weirdest animations you'd never expect, there's even one for every single character for eating while on the ground, and falling animations for when each character hits the last bounce on Pacmans trampoline

I find it interesting that most of the heavies are among the faster half of the roster.
This only concerns their dashing speeds. Many of these heavier characters do not actually have good mobility, or lack good mobility in the air or fast attacks....save for Captain Falcon. Bowser for instance has had his dashing and fall speed increased consistently since Melee, but he still retains his very slow to end aerial attacks that aren't safe to use against grounded opponents and practically all of his moves that aren't tilts have high ending lag on ground.
Do you want the heavies to have only trade offs and no strong stats ?

Cheating would be using an item, since anyone can use them. But using your own powers? How is it cheating? Its one of the character's own innate abilities.
Some characters are using their magic to float instead of run, is that cheating too? How about those in vehicles? Cheating as well?
As long as you're using your own powers, abilities and means, then its not cheating. People need to stop being so salty.

I know this video only features running speed, without items, without specials unless they change the running speed. But featuring Steve in a minecart on the thumbnail implies that you would be featuring special moves too.
Please make a second video where you actually compare the speed of special moves. Steve's minecart, Jigglypuff's rollout, Ridley's rush, and more. Basically all special moves that moves you without the aid or running.

@@rainbowthedragoncat6768 it's a quirk of the English/american adaptation of dragon quest games. Since the spells are real words it's straightforward to tell what spell does what and which is stronger version of which, but the adaptation team decided not to use real words for most of the spells so they came up with some semblance of tier system where prefixing with "Ka-" or suffixing with "-le" signifies stronger variant of a spell (set smash to english and you'll see that side B "zap" becomes "zapple" then "kazap" )
By similar logic, acceleratle is a better version of accelerate.
Although in dragon quest, piorimu ("acceleratle") is a group spell while piora ("accelerate" without L) is a single user spell, so it makes no difference in smash as hero is only 1 character and not a party of multiple characters.
Nah no typo, that’s the actual name of the spell in Dragon Quest.
There’s Accelerate which boosts agility of one party member.
And Acceleratle which boosts the agility of the entire party.
