Seriously William, I found the ending so relatable that I almost cried. After I discovered your channel almost one entire year ago I've been putting effort into developing my own world project called Waterbringers and as someone who wants to be an environment concept artist, watching your videos beforehand helped me so damn much and I'm deeply grateful. Cheers and hope to see Black Horizon on Steam Market one day cause so far, everything there could slap as a lot of different genres.
This video was almost like watching a whole movie with its own solid story and atmosphere, thank you so much for sharing! Black horizon looks so soo good, I hope more people will learn about it and those great ideas and artworks won't go to waste. Also all the artworks were so cinematic, compositions are so well organised, simply an eye candy!
This is awesome, I think everyone can see how much time and love u put into designing whole world. It's really beautiful ! I hope that u will finish this. Make a game, series and card game, everything. So inspiring keep going!!
Your videos are so inspiring. I learned so much about 3D and concept art from you. And you even inspire me to start and create my own world, thanks. I keep my fingers crossed for Black Horizon.
Nice work man ! this really look great, i got here from your reddit post and i got interested in this world you making it looks extremely cool and specially love how little of galaxy is actually owned/explored but how big you made the owned space feel the galaxy is a HUGE place and i think you hit the perfect spot to represent this. About your question where to start, i honestly think you start with a small short comic about one of the conduit characters and show him going on a special mission for the eurelian empire, this can be a nice and quick way to show they powers, why they are the ones choosen for the job and set the rivalry betwen the 2 nation states. if they are in a cold war it would be closer to a spec op stuff and if its a hot war them maybe disrupting the enemy locations and killing officers, well thats just an ideia !
Exciting stuff! Can't wait to hear more about the universe. I love the idea of pressure suits as a gateway to truly being able to explore space, it has such strong potential to act as a visual indicator for a character's importance and is also an easily gamified milestone for a videogame. Some super evocative artwork throughout as well, that shot of the starship being launched off of the planet was gorgeous!
I love world building, which is just an extension of my own imagination. I couldn't do what you do at the scale that you are doing it, so I am focussing on small details. At the moment I am working on robots, their look, function, differences. Fabulous video! Please make more!
The best thing that happened to me today was watching this channel. This is just...wonderful! Incredible! Your work is splendid, magnificent content! (Sorry for the high praise! It was exactly what I was looking for and I'm glad it did.) New Subscriber! :)
Will the conduits enhanced senses to electromagnetic fields work also as a weakness to them like being exposed too much to it? Artwork looking insane 👍
In a way, the way it works right now is that conduits can feel electromagnetic fields as a "natural" extension of themselves, but when there is lots of it can be more difficult to pinpoint the exact target, but the amount itself wouldn't disrupt, but if you messed with the field created irregular patterns etc, then it could be disorienting for the conduit or if you had electromagnetic bombs they could disrupt their ability to focus and connect, but it would have to be quite significant, but in theory yes. Great question btw :) And thanks!
I do not wish to know the ultimate purpose of worldbuilding if it serves a business-based objective. I have clinical depression, and for me, the act of worldbuilding is an escape and a distraction in itself; no other purpose is necessary.
