I believe this is from an american point of view she acts exactly as the typical stereotipe mexicans thibk blonde american women are, loud, acts like a little girl like being this is cute
This one of the best SJP interviews I've seen. These are such a joy to watch. The world really was a kinder place. There is nothing like this on TV today.
Rosie was the best daytime talk show host ever! Sara Jessica Parker was a delight. It's so fun seeing this. They had no idea Sex And The City would be a phenomenon.
I clicked the video just to see how life was back then and when i heard that i was like whaaaaat??? Also she explained who MR Big was hahahaha wtf, wasnt she famous before s&tc!!???? Thats crazy.
It’s funny that SJP’s mannerism are very much reflected in how she portrays Carrie. Even the way she walked out onto the stage. And the way she talks with her hands is so Carrie. She’s so much more eloquent in real life than Carrie is but you can tell she really throws a lot of herself into the character she portrays.
She still looks great! Her and Matthew still a beautiful and happy couple with beautiful kids. And Sex and the City is one of the best shows of all time. I religiously watch it at least twice a year
I saw Sarah and Matthew in real life on Broadway in 2022 in the play Plaza Suite. What a beautiful experience 😍 it was my first time in New York City too, and I know Sex and the City by heart. I'm 36 now ❤️
Thank you for this wonderful clip! Neither Sarah nor Rosie said 'literally', 'like' (instead of 'think/said/etc.'), 'amazing' (as if there is no other adjective in English language), etc.; SJP is so eloquent! And her hair - wow! - was beautiful. Wish Rosie would make a comeback. (sigh)
OMG can you believe this !!! this is before we even knew what an amazing fantastic phenomenon Sex and the City was about to become and it would propel SJP into international super stardom !!!! ohhhh to go back to 1998!!! (I remember that first Sex and the City all all over Manhattan on subways and buses) I love when she said : they will have Saturday night to take a peek at the show and get hooked, we hope! Ohhhh Sarah We got so hooked on this show and some of us became hard core fans for life!!! I was lucky enough to have been on visiting friends in NY and met Sarah at Barneys when they were shooting the last 8 episodes of the series and I got a picture with her and it was my best Sex and the City memory (got one with Cynthia as well) Kirstin was in her trailer so I couldn't get one with her and Kim was in another part of Manhattan shooting other scenes!
I have no words for this…. Just ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ still my favorite show of all time. sATC foreverrrr!! Thanks for sharing this, first time seeing it 😢😅😊
How have I never seen this? Maybe because I was 16 at the time? Either way, this was amazing, I LOVE the "Annie Remix Song". Also SJP looks like 18, but I think she was like 32/33 here..... you go girl!
omg I remember watching this in 1998 and remembering how cool I thought she was! I was 14 and I watch SATC religiously with all my friends. I always identified with carrie the most because she was free spirited and creative, just like me :)
Wow loving these comments must be mostly 80s babies lol. We had hard times but we still loved life and each other. These screens man. Changed everything. 😔
This is Lori. I love the Sex and the City show! Sarah Jessica Parker is such a fun person to watch. That show when it started inspired me to visit NYC for the first time. I have found the best about NYC ever since. My husband and I just got back from a trip there a few weeks ago and vlogged it for our travel channel for the first time. Have to say people of NYC were very welcoming while we were filming. :)
@@annieirish2229 This is Chuck and yes, it's a big city but if you just mind your judgement it's not insanely risky. Actually NYC is pretty cool to visit.
lol, I remember this ep, in particular the bit about the Spelling Bee winner, Rebecca Sealfon. It would be nice if I remembered important things as well as I do tv episodes from over 20 years ago! But SJP is so cute here, from her outfit to moving in her chair like a little kid, naww.
I'm inclined to think it wasn't Hocus Pocus she was talking about since she said she was on her way to film "a wee little part" in Bette's new movie, so perhaps she was talking about First Wives Club...? Another classic showing it's roots here! :D
@@tristenevillanyibokor626 Hocus Pocus was released years before this interview. The movie was Isn't She Great, in which Bette Midler plays Jacqueline Susann. It filmed in Montreal around this time. However SJP isn't credited for the film anywhere so it's possible she never ended up doing it.
To think that at that time she didn't even have a minimal, ridiculous idea about how successful, popular, demanded and rich she was just about to become...
And just like that the tiny blonde woman became a fashion and pop culture icon, and she lived happily ever after. The End.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice.
Lucky girl.
Her hard work paid off.
Her hair looks beautiful in this interview. Always loved her curly hair.
😊😊😊
She is definition of how attitude can make you look gorgeous. She has so much charisma and is so feminine.
and also she's gorgeous? she's a knockout
I believe this is from an american point of view she acts exactly as the typical stereotipe mexicans thibk blonde american women are, loud, acts like a little girl like being this is cute
peope like you talking like shes ugly. shes far from ugly. chill.
@@nottheone582no she isn't lmao.
Why are you saying that like she's ugly though... She looked incredibly gorgeous
This one of the best SJP interviews I've seen. These are such a joy to watch. The world really was a kinder place. There is nothing like this on TV today.
Watch "Sherri" aka Sherri Shepherd Show. It's a kind show, and funny. Similar to Rosie.
The View is filled with lunatics like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg who do nothing but have TDS(Trump Derangement Syndrome).
@@y2kpopHQthanks for the recommendation
And so authentic
Stfu. Go back in time then. Tired of these types of comments
I wish i could go back in time!!
Same!
Same here
Me too...
I was thinking the same thing!
I was in the audience for this! Dave Chapelle was also a guest that show.
That's so cool !!!
How was it like being in the audience. Was Rosie warm inbetween commercials?
My mom would watch Rosie right after I got home from school. Fond memories. I wish the 90s were forever

HBO’s NEW series, “Sex and the City”!!! Crazy!!!!

I was thinking the same
She puts a lot of herself into Carrie. She’s not different at all really.
She just plays herself with every character
She uses a fair bit of physical comedy on the show - falling, tripping, being a klutz.
Those late-90’s years before 9/11 were peak years in NYC. SJP’s hair in S1 was the best.
Rosie had a great show!
I wish things were like in the 80s and 90s again!!!!!!!
She still looks great! Her and Matthew still a beautiful and happy couple with beautiful kids. And Sex and the City is one of the best shows of all time. I religiously watch it at least twice a year
Glad I’m not the only one!🙈😄

I saw Sarah and Matthew in real life on Broadway in 2022 in the play Plaza Suite. What a beautiful experience 😍 it was my first time in New York City too, and I know Sex and the City by heart. I'm 36 now ❤️
It's so wild that this clip is "vintage" but to me it seems like not that long ago. Getting older is nuts. Where did all that time go?
All that time went into the past 🤓
Same!
Exactly! I'm like....1998 was only like a few years ago.....nope.....near 30 years ago. It's just plain rude in my opinion lol
And then SATC went on to make history. What an iconic interview. SJP looks fab as always, loved her iconic blonde curls and girlie looks.
Thank you for this wonderful clip!

She really 'made it' in Hollywood at the young age of 33 with the HBO show.
She was already famous from acting in Square Pegs in the 80’s on tv
She had already made several movies and was also a child actor.
HBO didn't make her career!
Girs just wanna have fun, Footlose, LA story, First wives club, etc etc
Hocus Pocus too
This is the sweetest interview ever.
sex and the city is my favorite show of all time especially with Sarah Jessica Parker she is so beautiful and very talented
So pure, what has happened to the world??
She had NO idea what was about yo happen to her life. Crazy.
One of the best talk shows ever. Always lifted my spirits, love them both. 💚
Agree.
I freaking love Rosie.

And Sex in the City blew up and her life has never been the same! Awesome.
So happy to have stumbled upon this gem!

Sex and the city was hilarious. Loved every single show.
She’s just adorable.
Her mannerisms in real life are the same as in the show. Funny.
so wholesome and cute! SJP's energy is infectious :)
This is one of the cutest most charming interviews I’ve ever seen awwwww
The first time I saw her was in the 1984 movie “Girls just wanna have fun” . I’ve been a fan ever since.
I liked this video and the host made Sarah Jessica feel confortable
This is so wonderful. The interview is sweet. And the inception of ‘Sex and the City’. Wow.

The clear image of somebody who LOVES HER JOB
Holy shit, shes been married to him since the beginning of sex and the city? I didn't realize that! I thought it was a bit later.
She's so stunning I love her
I liked both of them so much more back then.

All the comments on how this show made her famous…SJP was already a famous actress from a tv show called Square Pegs in the 80’s
God, I was 10 then. From then to now I managed to grow up and grow old. Tempus fugit..
Love SJP. So beautiful
obsessed w/ her
Wow, back when SATC was new and fresh. I loved the first few seasons the most. Nowadays, the franchise is just a sad, empty throwback.
Natural look is the best on her. I can't understand her obsession the last decade for the severe middle part and the excessive eyeliner.
How was this filmed 25 years ago??? I’m SHOCKED…
Omg that was the cutest thing!
