I had the same issue and solution ! What you may be lacking is Magnesium (You should verify with your doctor for confirmation and advice)
I take a magnesium supplement called CALM . Specifically, I will take the magnesium glycinate kind as it will not cause you to have gassy issues unlike using regular magnesium.
Magnesium helps ease your blood pressure a bit and helps hormones and melatonin navigate in your body with more ease .
Anyways, ever I since took it I had deeper and more refreshing sleep. Also , If you find yourself constantly waking up in the middle of night to pee it could be because you are low on magnesium (Again, verify with a health professional) .
Magnesium helped me reduce my urge to wake up to pee in the middle of the night . In this case, regular magnesium works better with this issue than the glycinate kind .
There’s endless information about magnesium just like any vitamin . So do your research if you want to verify all I said was true .
Hope this helps! I know how much I struggled finding a solution to your issue or at least it helped to cross out this possibility of lacking magnesium of your list ! :)

Melatonin can cause you to wake up in the night, especially when taken at higher doses. I can't even take 0.3 mg without waking up after 4 hours and being unable to sleep again - followed by next day drowsiness! Also try going to bed for just 8 hours and using an alarm to wake you up, so you don't sleep for longer than necessary, then you will probably sleep better at night.

I'm 68 and over the years my sleep has become worse and worse. I usually can fall asleep but two sleep cycles later (about 3 hours) I wakeup and usually lay there about an hour and a half to two hour and then I sleep about and hour more. About a week ago I started taking two melatonin gummies and was frankly shocked at the immediate effect this had on my sleep. I'm sleeping about 5 to 6 hours straight through, laying awake about 30 minutes and then sleeping for another 2 to 3 hours. It's incredible!

I started taking 3mg of Melatonin before bed to help me sleep through the night. I started feeling depressed and couldn’t figure out why because usually I don’t have to deal with depression at all. I felt this heavy, dark cloud pressing down on me that I couldn’t shake. Finally, I looked up the side effects of Melatonin because that was the only new thing I had added to my every day routine. I found out one of the possible side effects of Melatonin is depression. So I stopped taking it and the depression lifted. I’m not saying this will happen to everyone. This was just my experience with it.

    • @kaydee3407
      @kaydee3407 2 роки тому +2

When i took aswafandha I had the same dark cloud around 5 pm ..when melatonin starts its function ...
I took aswagandha thinking it would balance my stress levels...since it is an adaptogen ..my already low cortisol..went down even more..and my dht went up ..increasinn my eastrogen and i got chest acne of a painful kind..
One has to be wary of doses in suppllements...
When taking melatonin..which could if taken by people with an imbalanced cortisol adrenal fatigue state..
(Especially woman who becuase of hormone charged milk and stressed adrenal fatigue life ..might give u an opposite affect ..
In ur case ..cortisol and seratonin are synergetic...so the high melatonin ...might have caused a sharp decrease in seratonin which could already be low , due to possible adrenal fatigue ...
Did u get sleep in the night ..but did the dark cloud set in during the day...
I tried sprouted mustard seed in my soup in the night
(It has high nrf2 activatíon )
I had a solid sleep ..but no side efffects of the dark cloud..
Ur body doesnt get sleep because there is brain inflammation and ur immune system takes over the cleaning process and lessens the activation of melatonin...
If u allow ur brain to clean itself using low dose natural nrf2 activating chemicals ..then that might help...
If one reduces the intensity of the inflammation via cannabinoid while takingn Nrf2 mustard sprouts with light soup...probably keto soup..since proteins have difficulty breaking down and cleaning up when thhe body is in a unbalanced brain inflammatory state..
Try the mustard sprout but springler in soup before sleep...
      See how it goes

Personally, I do wish this channel mentioned in the section about kids, that there are children born who have difficulty producing the hormone on their own and that in those specific cases melatonin treatment can encourage the natural production. I couldn't produce the hormone after I was born, and until I had a melatonin treatment when I was 6, I literally only fell asleep when I was so exhausted I could collapse from it. It was everything but healthy, and whilst my sleep quality is still often terrible and restless, it's better then being incapable of it.

Then I'm just laying their in bed so very, very fustrated and kicking my legs because I can't get back to sleep until 3am in the morning and then wakening up at 6 or 6:30am. Also I get really drowsy in the morning, get stomach "what to vomit" and muscle pains "leg pains" after the earily morning rise is that normal. On top of that, I also have anxiety and depression which doesn't help as will, including the bad sleeping habit that i have.

The logic that just because your body makes it, it's okay for you to take is ridiculous. Human growth hormone or testosterones is natural. Is it okay to take? The answer is absolutely no. The reason why people can't get sleep is because they lack exercise during the day and do not get enough sunlight. I guarantee you, if you exercise 2 hours a day and have 2 hours sun each day, you will beg to go to sleep. What could happen is if you take melatonin too long, your natural production of melatonin could reduce making it more difficult to go to sleep.

I've heard it's really not good for you at all.
Valerian root is a good alternative (you can take it in pill form, I've been taking it as 400MG). It didn't make me drowsy per se, but I fell asleep quickly. Had more vivid dreams, and woke up feeling well rested. It's apparently good as an anti anxiety too.
It DID however, make me feel more drowsy initially when waking up, also a little dizzy for a few hours. This might suggest a lower dose.
Valerian looks like it needs more research, but so far it has no evidence of being harmful from what I've personally found (there are some suggestions it could affect heart rate by lowering it, so if you have heart rate issues it's better not to take).
Do your own research though, don't take my word. But it seems to be a safer/healthier option, with less extreme effects (won't knock you TF out you'll just have a good steady sleep). I need to do more research on Melatonin though.

    • @dont.ripfuller6587
      @dont.ripfuller6587 2 роки тому

I've done everything from the good and the bad and the ugly, valerian makes it on my list of no side effects, no mornings headache like melatonin , no groggyness, just made mildly done with being awake for a few hours. No withdrawals but it does need to be tried a few nights in a row for your body to do whatever it does to get effects from it. I would make a mild herbal tea with chamolile.
Before you take anything , it you're not
      A. - cutting caffeine 10 hours before bed
      B. - cutting electronics entirely 2 hours before bed. (you wont do it though, don't kid yourself- you're a weak dopamine addict with no control. )
      C. Exercising or stretching in some form or fashion, daily
D.- not eating trash and garbage seasoned with waste
      E. -relatively alcohol and stimulant freeishish
Then you could consider a look at those areas first, as any one off the list will jack your body up and jacking it back with drugs will leave you all sorts of jacked of...ummm...you know what I mean. Now ignore everything and go Hondo a bunch of drugs back and forth cus it's way easier until you get old and it hurts to move cuz the liver exploded and the heart corroded

I don't think there will be any consequences because it's naturally produced in the body.
Also, it's just a supplement not a pharma drug.
When you take melatonin, your body has got a decent amount through the tablet/supplement and it will help you sleep.
Because when you stay up at night looking at LED screens, it can prevent your body from producing melatonin naturally so you supplement it & stop using phones/tablets/tv an hour before sleep.

When I stress out mentally my breathing becomes faster and I stay awake. Lastly I use earplugs and nightshades because I'm a light sleeper as well. I hope this helps!!

Im taking tab zestril 10mg maintenance dose for hypertension. Is it ok to take it without side effect or drug interactions. By the way my bp is controlled with meds.

It makes no sense talking about safety without considering the dose. Corticosteroid is also naturally produced, while intaking a high dose of it is bad for health.
