I test drove one and I didn't feel the need for more power even in normal mode it's crazy fast

I was the same but you get used to the stock power and sounds quite quickly so you'll want to up it a bit after a month or two

Exactly how i feel about mine. Maybe a slight suspension/handling tuning and slight power bump would be enough imo
Sports mode is to raw so if you drive in normal I suppose you may get use to it in slow traffic etx

Equal parts e85 and 91 doesn’t get you to e50. That would give you at best e42.5. A flex fuel sensor, like a Fuel-it and an e85 calculator is helpful for knowing the ratios to add at each fillup
Yeah equal parts definitely won't get anyone E50. E85 is almost never 85. Usually between 75 and 80 depending on location and brand. A flex fuel sensor is the only way to go to get an accurate reading. Trying to guess is not good especially with a tune.
Most pump fuel haze up to 10% ethanol content.

Great video 🔥. I think it's also important for people to use a ethanol testing kit to know what percentage of E they are actually getting out of the pump. Content values can vary greatly depending on the source. Once you have the correct percentage value then you can accurately use you E85 calculator to get where you want to be.

Flex fuel kit with ecutek software is best for getting perfect e50 blend. Ecutek shows your fuel in liters which is much more accurate than gallons. My tuner also has my sport display showing the ethanol percentage so I can check it with one button press(preset on programmable number buttons). Gas station ethanol pumps vary in ethanol content from 75-82 where I live in NYC/LI area so you have to test it out and see which stations offer the most ethanol content for your money. It’s never equal parts ethanol and 93 for me. I always have to put more e85 than 93 to get the perfect E50 blend. Worth it completely so I can make my 500whp and 600wtq. The car is extremely fun on proper 305 rear tire setup. Too bad I’m craving more power. 🤦🏻♂️
poor choice of words. L vs Gal are equally accurate lol. A half a gallon is a half gallon. a half of a liter is a half of a liter. Mix either half into its whole and you get the same results (simple math, both are equally accurate). Converting the two results in inaccuracies. I presume that's what you were trying to say (perhaps because your display/logs are in L and you live in America where everything is Gal) lol...upgrade your software :D
I have a Visconti e50 tune. What makes the e50 tune so much fun in daily driving is the incredible torque. What dampens the fun is the stock Michelins. I replaced my rears with 305/35-19 R888R's after about two weeks of incessant spinning. The only downside is they are a bit noisy. I certainly would not run them all around for that reason.
You put those tires on the stick rim?

Man what a awesome video. That burble thing is really cool also. The only negative thing about tuning your car is the potential for warranty problems if something were to break.

tbf if you are seriously tuning your car you don't care about the warranty. Race cars break. That's clearly obvious. They break, we fix them, done. Edit: If that's not your thing don't touch it ;) or do the bare minimum. However, if you do the bare minimum, for the love of god don't put a wing on your car and call it fast...that wing is slowing you down lol ;) that, or if you love the aesthetic, ensure your wing is set to zero degrees (flat-plane). :)

I have 2 B58 cars. One stock and one with a hybrid turbo and E30 mix. The difference is amazing. The extra 150+ HP makes a world of difference. My Supra would get destroyed by my stock looking 340i. I’m still wondering if I will go all out with the Supra or custom tune with the stock turbo. Supra still has payments and under warranty. That’s what’s holding me back.
Stock Supra vs stock 340i?? Absolutely not... an M2 would murder a 340i on the track and the Supra at least stays with it.
500hp Supra would crush any BMW except the M series. I know from experience I had both the M2 and Supra 2020 (500hp)
Kind of makes me wish I would've went with a A90/91 versus my OG M2 just for that B58!
I went M240i x drive , only downside is that is not as wide as a m2

As a Supra launch edition owner... Bottom line is the car was made to be tuned. It's called the B58TU and it was developed as such. You can easily put 100whp in it on gas alone. If you don't you're missing out. Also by adding 100whp you still get decent gas mileage, somewhere around 22mpg
Off the shelf tuning isn’t always a “prediction” I can’t speak on behalf of all of them obviously but I would say some of them are made to be that perfect balance of a boost in power while still keeping reliability in mind. Depending on the brand, some OTS products are tested many times to find that “sweet safe” spot for the specific car. Obviously if you want maximum power you’re gonna need a custom tune but that’s also a risk depending on the tuner. There are some tuners who have guessed if something would work on a car and the driver ends up blowing their motors. So I think it all depends on the quality here. Is the OTS tune from an accredited company? Is the tuner a reliable person that takes everything including reliability into consideration? And obviously if you have the money for a custom tune.

I got ecutek tune on my a90. It made 450hp on 98 octane. Catless exhaust system and CAI. These cars are fun. Eventually I'll put it on E85.
I am sure I'm missing it, but who did your tuning? did they also provide the Android app for selecting which tuning spec?

For those that aren't aware, he's talking about 500 whp, which is actually around 600 hp to the crank as a manufacturer would advertise. He's making more to the wheels than am R35 which advertises around 560 bhp, or 470-490 whp.
A 21+ Supra dynos 370-390 rwhp stock which is actually underrated and closer to 440 hp crank.
And it’s a small light car

Get a cheaper car. Going into debt for a car this early in your life and career won't set you up for success. Invest in training courses and certificates now. You'll easily be able to afford a supra in 5 years and won't even have to touch your savings.
Get a cheaper manual car first.

Get what you like, I worked hard in HS, many years ago, for the same reason, to have the car I wanted.
Get an m2 . Its very fun to drive too
You forgot to mention you can easily get 500+ hp on pump and not have to bs about with E mixes. IMO worth the upgrade (pays for itself in the end (time and bs is money)). pump and done for dailies 5-600hp range, race fuel is for when you are modded out (stage 3 range) and pushing for the top line imo. Sure it's super attractive at first glance but work smarter, not harder. It's just bs you don't have to deal with (mixing). Get it wrong and you could be in big trouble. good vid none-the-less ;)
Edit: Also, if you do decide to run an ethanol mix, something like Zeitronix ECA that monitors and displays your fuel mix is worth its weight in gold. big time saver and ensures you are on your mark ;)

You have to respect the power that's what makes it more fun less safety net need moar skill. Then start tracking with real tread takes even moar skill.
My light tuned ATSV @512 hp 480tq is so fun but dam I go through tires. I drive it like I stole iit.every 6 months new tires at $650+ per rear set is not fun. But it's super fun to get sideways alot but again. I'm thinking about getting a A91 pure800 or C8 Z51

Only if your ECU date is after, I believe is after 6/20. My ECU was 5/20
@@DrivingCody dang, was getting all excited that they were finally unlocked. Had a visconti stage 2 tuned 20 Supra, but traded it away to get the A91. Alas, it’s not tunable. Definitely more fun, but more work when tuned. Good video man!

@@JulietActual way easier to just check the ECU. Takes like 3 seconds to take it out. Just need to do when the engine is cooled down a little bit.
@@DrivingCody yeah just did a quick homework. Found out sometimes the dates don't match. I definitely wait when it cools down. There's two clips holding the ecu in correct?

I personally like my 440i m sport coupe better then the Supra. Although the Supra is a bit faster due to the light weight. The bmw interior is much nicer and also looks better IMO.
440i m is nice but Supra is way cooler car. Cool factor is with Supra.

I was thinking about the supra, looks dope, but dunno, it needs a tune to get to barely scratches the 500hp mark, and you need to deal with the annoyance of the dual fuel filling
I would say an AMG GT would be better, you can find one with 12k miles for 75k to 90k tops, with a twin turbo v8 delivering 530hp, and it can get in the 650ish-700ish hp without all that trouble you get into with the supra, and its an MB AMG

It's assembled by Magna Steyr, but I can assure you it's full of BMW parts.

If the ethanol is 75% or even full e85 how is equal parts giving you e50? 91 or 93 is typical e10 and e85 is typical e70 ish. Have seen e83 and e60. Changes are you're running e35 to e40 they way you're doing it. This car will be destroyed sooner or later and I'm guessing sooner due to your lack of knowledge and worst thinking you know.. Even worse is your spreading the lack of knowledge. You're not getting errors your getting engine damaging knock created by too low of octane due to wrong mixtures and resulting mil. There are several major drawbacks with tuning modern bmws. What are you going to do when the dme gets locked again via over the air update or when you're forced into a dealer. There's a big difference between an enthusiasts and someone who uses a car to look cool or take Instagram photos. I feel like you're the latter guy. If you're scared of 500 hp....
