Again a nice vid our ballista is out of operation in my barn since some years ....But it could send a 3´´ concrete ball 200 m . I never saw such nice function models like yours.
nice work! im prototyping a bullpup pistol catapulta , but need to create a steel head frame as i am crushing laminate maple with 15lbs test twine in my torsion bundle of 6 strands! i plan to goto 200 lbs+ and 200+ strands,,,,can you do the math lol i cant but im hoping for 150 lbs + draw weight. need to figure a nut and trigger that will function at that tension and how to string/tension the bundles lol but pre prototype version 2 "popsicle" sticks puts pencil crayons 30 feet down range
Is there a more detailed plan ? I'm sorry if I'm asking for too much, I just really liked the design of this ballista and I wanted to do a school project. Thanks
Superb video, do you think it would be feasible to simply upscale your schematics to make a life sized ballista? Would it work? I've already planned out mine, but I've gotten stuck on how to build the trigger mechanism
A bit late here but might still be usefull: The design can be scaled up. Only problem is the slide and trigger assembly. If you scale it up you'll loose a lot of energy/power from the slide having to be dragged forward and stopped :)
This is by far the most professional ballista I have seen on the internet with clear instructions. Well done!
Hello ! Tell me, please, where did you buy mahogany ? I can't find a tree of the same quality . All the best !
Finally. A Video that shows how it Fire and Works

Don't understand how the ratchet/gear section works. You showed it being inserted but not how it locks.

Ballista was made without plans, then I make a photo of it and drew the dimensions. No more detailed plan, only this 1:24
muy bueno, (no requiere goma como las gomeras o tirachinas), se necesita maeteriales mas accesibles que una ballesta
