There are a plethora of reasons one might want to see an image of Amy Winehouse or *Maryland Monroe outside of their physical beauty. Why is she reducing such women to appearance alone?...and then a further reduction by asserting their beauty was one in the same? These were wildly distinct characters from different timelines and cultures. Both incredibly complicated creatives sure... but I see no reason why she needed to belittle and bring down others, whitewashing them, in the process of exulting those of her choosing.
Not nearly as impressed with this artist as she seems to be with her self.

Although i love the work and the message, this entire video is pretty ironic the fact that she wants representation for these women but Vice is giving the representation to the wrong person? kind of defeats the purpose of the message especially in a time as such when POC should be given recognition more than anything, women of color that SHOULD be recognized. NYC art scene is HUGE, such a large variety of artist that spread the same message that should be given the recognition. its always a white artist

The amount of art spread across walls and canvases throughout the ages to tell stories, histories, lives and to shit on assholes and fuckwits and to praise the peoples champions and to bring lights to problems. goes hand in hand with ability to create a pieces some people may like to just look at, that creates the art we know today. something that is always being tested, a form of language to and for the people. we know that as a world today, men do suffer under the hand of woman, it is true. but woman have suffered under the hand of men much more throughout history. so as art is today, I see no problem and actively encourage to progress with the work she does. to use art is it was intended, to tell a story, too speak and fight for the people. but to always remember that unity is what the movement such as feminism, metoo and BLM push for. not the act of conquer or succeeding over another, but succeeding in understanding.
