    WOW! This is fascinating. You've got me thinking. 💡

    I would use the following steps --
    1. Create a calculated end date column, using calculate -- I would calculate the MIN Date for each employee where Date >= variable current Date (date for the selected record)
    2. Subtract one day from the step 1
    3. Then I would use Generate Dax Function to create all date records between the date range (Date column and newly calculated end date column)

    Kindly request you to also please cover---
    Calculate age for each position/Client he is in..
    He might come back to Client 2 after going to Client 4 the total age of Client 2 position...
    This helps in calculating age of a ticket in suport industry,
    Age of an employment in particular team or organization in HR...
    This would be a great answer for so many datasets (Salesforce - Case Age, Oracle Fusion - Employee history)

    Ah... there you go, Chandeep... Waiting to see the solutions... :)
    However, there was an important caveat... If the last event in an employee's lifecycle is "Employee Offboarding," the calculated dates should not go beyond that point.

      For now I kept it clean, I am sure you can tweak the solution :)

    Chandeep - one question. If the last event for an employee is not offboarding, what do we assume the end date for that event is? The max date in the dataset? Today's date? Other? Thanks!

    • @GoodlyChandeep
      @GoodlyChandeep  2 роки тому +1

      To keep the problem simple, any last event is currently ongoing. Therefore Today's Date.
