I finished this chapter of kingdom hearts for someone I lost. I spent most of my gameplay crying and smiling knowing that she would have loved it as much as I did playing. If given the opportunity i would thank the entire kingdom hearts team personally for such a wonderful ending to this chapter and I'm looking forward to the next saga in the series.
What even is the next saga...isn’t sora well...you know.

Same here bro, my sis passed 10 years ago when i was 6 and all i can remember is her playing kingdom hearts 2. All these years passed, and now im addicted to kingdom hearts. Dont listen to "The Other Promise", it makes me cry every single time.

Because there's SEVEN GAMES and two collections released three times.
Nothing pushed KH3 away really. SE maintened the focus on Portable games during the PS3 era.
She was clearly talking about a "main entry" or the game called "Kingdom Hearts 3". The collections, 7 games, game engine and FF15 are what pushed KH3 back in the first place.
@ThiefRikku0306 I never said they were spin offs but some could consider them that. Just because they have a lot of crucial story does not mean they're main line games. They have gameplay elements that are not really part of the mainline gameplay element and scope of the game. How important a game is to the main story line has no importance on the actual use of the word "spin off". And in any case, they CLEARLY were trying to say why it took so long for KH3.
@@EvyDevy actually it has a lot to do with it. Spin offs are non canon games or games where the storyline in some other way has no bearing on the overall story arch. Gameplay differences have no bearing on this.

@@marcoramirez120 Well, there are cut scenes, which are a type of cinematic within the game. I guess the same could be argued for Smash Bros. and any other game with cuts scenes for that matter. Friendship didn't make any statement that it was any better than any other crossover, just a joke that it strived to be very ambitious.

Nope. The story is still confusing and extremely convoluting.
I've played the games and the story is still convoluted. People understand GoT and DBZ because they follow conventional story telling. If something extreme happens they give a reason that fits logically within the story.
I love KH but they just introduced things randomly because it sounds cool but never explain how it actually works. like Sora has like everyone's heart inside him somehow, xehanort can time travel, not only can he time travel but different versions of him can time travel and exist at the same time even if they were defeated in the past and shouldn't exist. Some characters in 3 were working with xehanort even though they didn't like him or want to becoem his vessels and when asked why they were like "idk. Because he asked and i have nothing else to do." Larxene literally said she rather die than be his vessel and when asked why should would work with him she said "I'll never tell."
Like i said i love the series but you can love a thing and also acknowledge its faluts and not be a gate keeping shamer.

It’s really sad how much hate this game gets from fans. It has some problems like the lack of big original worlds, but overall it’s still really good.

Why must it be boiled down to hate though? I understand the toxic bunch but there are valid reasons for others to be disappointed in the game. We shouldn't generalize everyone who finds this title lackluster as a hater. Hell CoM is my favourite and most people hate that installment.

Seriously, I've never felt so shaken about loving a video game that makes the fans so split. Everytime I'd see videos or posts about kh3, they talk about the disappointments the game gave them. Personally, I saw it too but I didn't mind because I enjoyed it the more I watched it (never played yet). I'm just waiting for time to pass and the DLC to release to mend the hearts of fans.
@@himeoftwili exactly how i feel. I didnt hate it. And i wouldn't say it's BAD per say, but it's very much just lackluster. It's simply... fine. Which is kinda a disappointment when you think about it being the conclusion to an arc, it should have been the best thus far. You dont need to be a hater to admit the game could have been done better. If anything the people saying "just wait for the dlc/final mix, itl be better" are the bigger problem. They're enabling this. We can all agree that kh2fm was yes a slightly better experience, but that kh2 was a great game on its own, in fact we probably weren't even thinking about a final mix. The fact that we are actually saying just wait for dlc or final mix IS A BAD THING! A game shouldn't have to depend on dlc to be great or fix things, it should stand on its own and dlc just makes it even better. Like literally if that was said about any other game itd be met with such backlash, but because it's kingdom hearts its apparently okay to follow blindly. Like i said, i didnt hate the game, it didn't suck, it wasn't bad, i had some fun with it, it was just okay at best though. There was alot of great improvements, but there was also alot of disappointments as well.
About that joke about DLC... we’re getting it. We’re not very sure what we’re getting just yet, but we _do_ know we’re getting the missing Critical Mode.

@@zakkgeorge345 I mean, a higher difficulty is actually quite welcomed for this title. Only time I ever died, minus a surprise encounter with a boss ship in the Caribbean, was to the Battle Gate 14 boss. I'd totally forgotten Kupo-coins were even a thing til that happened.

Sure theres some artificial difficulty, but nothing was worth re-fighting for me. It was all pretty meh.
Many can say what they will about Kingdom Hearts 3 being a disappointment and being too easy, but at the end of the day it "was" worth the wait, I feel like those who hate KH3 need to understand that it is it's own cup of Tea just like KH1 and KH2
Worth the wait? Nah.
But not because of long development time but because it would've been waaay better if it came out after Birth by Sleep. (at maximum) Because then they wouldn't have had 50 plotlines that get rushed through in 3 Minutes each in the last 4 hours. Also Dream Drop Distance wouldn't have made everything in it's universe worthless.
@@HyperGamer14What you're saying, first of all is a bad argument because KH:DDD wasn't entirely pointless, second if KH3 got released at the time of BBS then it wouldn't have explained how master Xehanort got there in the first place in KH3 and we'd have even more plot points to cover in one go, so what you're saying is a contradiction in itself no offense.
KH3 did *not* have its own story like KH1 and KH2. It was just tons of fanservice with bad pacing. The worlds were literally the movies with almost nothing different. In previous games, they actually mixed with disney and made a more original plot.
Thats not even all the flaws. Its just bad. Loved it, but its pretty bad. Makes me wary of purchasing future games.

One there are no spin offs in kingdom hearts other than v cast so no one waited 12 years for kh3.
I consider BBS and DDD full fledged KH games. But Id consider Chain of memories, Coded , and X to be spin offs or rehashes if you prefer. All the others are just remakes with more cut scenes.
Something that annoys me about this is calling the spinoffs just spinoffs and not acknowledging that their storylines affect KH3. Their stories and the story told in the first two main title games all come to a climax in KH3.
Edit: this video is basically a breakdown of the game. It’s rather boring for anyone who has already played. I was expecting behind the scenes facts etc. Also the story isn’t hard to understand if you played all the games!

If by "special keyblades" you mean optional ones, then kh3 actually has only 3 (not counting the 3 pre-order ones). Most kh games have more than this. But kh3 having less blades makes sense, since keyblades aren't just stats and designs anymore; the transformations are way more important

It depends on where you pre-ordered it from. Only Amazon, PSN store and Xbox store get keyblades, and no copy of kh3 has all three blades since each company gives their own keyblade. Amazon is basically a kingdom key reskin, while the other two are blue or green versions of Star Seeker from kh2/bbs. They all have Second Form.

as good as this game was, it didnt live up to the hype, it focused to much on future games rather then being in the now. The beginning and end were amazing, but the middle was meh. It was annoying when the big bads kept showing up to lecture sora and never fight, there was no mid game boss battle with the KH big bads or KH world like radiant gardarn or something, the whole purpose of his journey felt almost meaning less other then "hey go to these disney/pixar worlds... because"
First of all WHILE Kingdom hearts 3 DID have concepts made after 2 they were HEAVILY repurposed for a lot of the other games the game truly only entered development in 2013 meaning the development time was not 12 or 13 years but instead 5 years so for all of you saying that it's been in development for 13 years get your facts straight

This has been said many times by many people and I'll say it again. The non numbered games (basically everything that is not Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2) are not spin offs they are actually main series entries as they all contribute to the overall story that is the Kingdom Hearts series. And yes that includes the mobile game Union Cross.

Fact 31, check the KH3 ultimania guide for the answer. Nomura basically used FF characters in KH1+2 to draw from their "star power" as recognisable characters for fans to go "I know them ill play this" as Sora and other original KH characters were no where near as popular or recognisable as they are now.

Not in the slightest. Spin-off implies either relevant or extra. You diffidently to know BBS and DDD because they have more plot points then KH2 in KH3. Even Union X is more important then 2! And that a stupid mobile game.
All the non-numbered titles are spin-offs, regardless of plot relevancy. There are certain rules that the numbered titles follow that the spin-off games break, thus making them spin-off games in the first place. Gameplay, characters, aesthetics, just to name a few.

A really cool fact that would've gone well with the Philoctetes fact was that the Japanese voice actor for Xenhanort, Chikao Ohtsuka, also passed away during development but being such a key player in the series had to replace his voice. They used his own son, Aiko Ohtsuka, which partnered with his father before as voice actors for Solid Snake and Big Boss in the MGS series.

Dark Inferno follows a pattern to his strikes. Hone your blocking and dodging skills, learn to abuse Rage Form to it's fullest, and also suspend (YES, YOU CAN SUSPEND KEYBLADE FORMS) your useful Keyblade forms to abuse their shields such as Nano Gear's.
Once you get that figured out, Dark Inferno will be much easier. Hint: when he charges in, block, right before his last strike, dodge as his last strike can't be blocked.
Just want to point out that this is the end of the Xehanort Saga, not the end of Kingdom Hearts. Trust me, this game series will never die lol.

Extra Trivia Fact: The reason there weren't ANY Final Fantasy characters is because Nomura said *cough* "They have no roles to fit in the story." *silence* .....yep. So, Sora bonding with the Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts I & II AND one of the MANY things that made Kingdom Hearts so popular doesn't mean a damn thing anymore. Thanks Nomura. -_-

Yozora would be a real character for Kingdom Hearts as seen in the Secret Ending for Kingdom Hearts III where Sora and Riku appears in an unknown city then Yozora is just sitting there watching them while a black coated person appears in another building forming a heart from his hand and showing it on a regular moon while that character could be the Master Of Masters from Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover.
It’s already been confirmed by Nomura that the hooded figure IS The Master of Masters.
Another thing for you both is that RIKU is in Verum Rex with Yozora. Sora is somewhere else with the Master of Masters. Another Shibuya in fact I believe courtesy of Nomura's tweets
Why took so long? Because the story is not there yet. They're making the mobile game to basically setting up the plot for 3 and upcoming title. Everything you see teased on 3 was in X (chi). Black box, Master of Masters, Luxu, Maleficent doing some time travel.

You're right, this game never had "simultaneous worldwide release". That's why SE games keep flunking on sales.
One misconception people need to realize: Kingdom Hearts 3 did NOT take 13 years to make. After KH2 came out, the only thing in the creators minds were the multitude of important side games that they released. Such as Birth by Sleep (a game teased in KH2), Dream Drop Distance (which is VERY important and leads into kh3), and a few others. KH3 only had officially started development in 2013, meaning the game was in development for 6 years.
So yes, if your confused as to what the hell is going on in kh3, you should have played the many side titles first. Every single game in this franchise is IMPORTANT. Hell, even the iOS game Union Cross has super important lore.

@cater Well, the climax is connected to Back Cover at least. Union Cross wasn’t necessary to understand the main story of KH3, but there were moments where it was referenced. I’m sure UC will become very significant in the next game, as they teased it a lot in kh3.

You say jk not meaning any harm but you’re actually right lmao xboners were the primary source of KH3 leaks and effectively ruined the experience for lots of KH fans because spoilers were constantly uploaded on here with key characters we shouldn’t know about being featured in either the video names or the thumbnails lol. Most of us westerners just lack common courtesy, and because of that Nomura’s now second guessing world wide release dates after the way the Xbox leaks were carried out. It also needlessly fed into their xenophobia in that they focused blame on westerners rather than the Xbox players who’re joining the ride for the very first time in KH history and were the first source on it to boot lol

The secret boss is not as hard as previous ones, but he's a lot more 'fair'.
He's piss easy. I beat him at level 69, on proud, without having the ultimate weapon.....
For people who's only strategy is "mash X", yea, he'll be a bit of a challenge. That's why the guard and dodge buttons exist XD

Honestly the Yozora/Sora name mistake makes more in Japanese. Cause Yozora mean 'night sky' while Sora mean 'sky'. But it still bugs me that Yozora looks more like Riku then Sora.

The only one you actually did get to fight was Davy Jones from Pirates, the rest were just Heartless or Nobodies.
Felt that the world of darkness should have been the final world and that the aqua fight should have been much longer and more impactful than what we got.
The keyblade graveyard and that point onward felt rush to the point that they stated this was a war but only small fights that could be stated a contests. Huge moments happen in that happen right after each other that we don't have time to react before another one starts up.

The "just desserts" part about KH3's leak is the fact that Nomura thought ahead and specifically made it so that it was impossible to unlock the secret ending until it was added in a distinctly post-release update.
I want all the original Kingdom Hearts games except for Kingdom Hearts III all remastered and remade with the Unreal4 engine and released on XBox One!

I loved KH3. Its so far my game of the year, and I was very skeptical of it. My only disappointment was that Kairi wasn’t playable. Wtf? DLC please! And give us some final fantasy characters since they’re the reason I gave the original Kingdom Hearts a chance back in 2004 In the first place!
There actually is ONE Final Fantasy character, standing around in "Twilight Town", his clothes are a bit different, and he looks like a younger version of him self, I won't say who he is though, you have tonfind him yourself.
I know this game has its flaws. But I loved it so damn much. I'm on my second playthrough and attempting to earn as many trophies as possible and make the Ultima Weapon!

With Arendelle for example, the Organization plans on using Elsa and Anna for the new Princesses of Heart, as well as Rapunzel. Monstropolis is a perfect world for Vanitas to thrive in. In the Caribbean, Luxord and Vexen inspect how Davy Jones can survive without a heart. In San Fransokyo, Dark Baymax is brought to life via Norted!Riku's experiment to create a heart from data. The Disney worlds in this game in particular make more sense than a lot of the past others for Sora to be in, as we're provided actual reasons for going there as opposed to them being JUST fan service for us Disney fans.

Kingdom Hearts is super special to me. The timing of KH3 coming out broke my heart though. My grandparents bought me KH1 the Christmas it came out. They got me KH2 when it came out and less than a month later my grandma passed away. Grandpa held on for over a decade and died the week before KH3 came out. Its always been my favorite series but the timing kills me dude. I still haven't been able to play it just yet but I have my copy on my game shelf for when I'm ready. I'm about ready now and this vid finally got me in the mood. Love you guys stuff, keep it up!

This is one of the most poorly made videos from the series. Not that the overall quality is bad, but the content is so lacking, and the first few facts are just very very wrong.
KHIII took so long because it wasn't even in development yet. There were a LOT of games in between which AREN'T spin offs, all integral to the story. The rest of the video are just info that we already know of. This video should've waited a bit more for other information to come out so that they could put more interesting facts. At this point, they're just bandwagoning on KHIII' popularity.

Every game is a piece of the same story leading up to the conclusion of KH3, which is the end of the seeker of darkness saga, and the start of something new. No spin-offs, it's the same story. Get your facts straight before talking about a game.

msk97x Phil doesn’t have any lines because his Japanese VA died and recasting is a huge deal in Japan. It’s been done with characters like Xehanort because he’s integral to the plot.

It's probably my favorite game in the series... even if the Pooh level is so miniscule it might as well not be there and I *really* don't like the Armoured Xehanort design.
Other than that, I don't have much of any petty gripes against the story as some fans do. That, and the exclusion of Final Fantasy didn't bother me. Outside of some fluffy cameo spots and some boss fights, what did they honestly add to the major narrative?
The music was at the top of its game. The graphics were wonderful. The combat was a blast. It was full of fun easter eggs and charming moments. The level design featured a level of verticality and vastness not seen in the series. The mini-games weren't a chore for once. And even the Gummi Ship was fun!
All in all, I had a great time with KH3. There's a lot of things it did right, despite a few blemishes here and there. I'm eager to see what the DLC will add.
What things did KH3 do "right'? Outside of just doing what it set out to do, conclude the Xehanort Saga. Sorry, it's just weird phrasing as it implies a lot of things couldn't be better.
Finally some positive comments about kingdom hearts 3, so many people have been putting it down, tbh I think the game was amazing and a prefect game to the series. People who have never played kingdom hearts before may find it hard to get into.. but I don’t understand how any fan doesn’t like it
Another thing, after Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, Nomura was to be in charge of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which is now Final Fantasy XV. The game was to be his first time as a full-time director on a Final Fantasy title after years of being a lead character designer for all games past FF VII, while he was also giving us Birth By Sleep, 358/2 Days, ReCoded and DDD. Development on Versus XII was dragging on since Square needed a lot of people for Final Fantasy XIII, the first FF game on the PS3 and XBOX 360. After the critical and commercial failure of the XIII trilogy, Square decided they need to make Versus XIII better, so they rebranded as Final Fantasy XV by 2013, same time as Kingdom Hearts III's announcement, and Square had Nomura out of XV's director's seat and he later went to work on Kingdom Hearts III.
