I love how practical you are with all your project choices! I'm a new knitter, and I am also trying to kick some overconsumption habits so it's really encouraging to see someone prioritizing knits that you'll wear all the time and actually use
When you said zip sweater my mind went straight to the VivianCardigan, because that pattern has been living in my head rent free for the last few weeks. It’s not a 3/4 zip but worth a look!
ohh yeah it’s gorgeous!! definitely something i wanna do in future - maybe not with the fuzzy pink yarn but in a navy or red or something? thanks for reminding me about it lol, i need to bookmark it 🫶
It‘s always so fun to see what other people are planning to knit. All the things you’ve mentioned look absolutely lovely. I find it very fascinating how people can plan so many things for a season, but then again I just started knitting and just finished my first tank top i started back in July. So for my winter plans i casted on a pair of fingerless gloves and I just bought wool for a chunky cardigan. Can’t wait to see how you get along with your plans
I’m also doing my first test knit and it’s for madebyrosh as well, it’s the Zurich zip up sweater. I also don’t like high necks either but I plan to fold the neck so it wont be so tall.
oooh I do love the look of that sweater, i was tempted to apply for that test knit too and yeah i would have done the exact same modification! best of luck with your project 💫
simple top down socks by ellie jones (on ravelry i believe) is the plain sock pattern I have used since I started making socks. Loads of size options and so easy to follow ☺️
I got the brushed alpaca silk in yellow for a project that fell through but I’m not wasting that beautiful yarn so I’m making a cardigan with it like the one you made before. Definitely more of a spring/summer project but it’s never too early to start haha 😅
I couldn’t recommend the Ultra Easy Socks pattern by Easy As Knit more. The heel, which I usually find to be the toughest part, is made with increases, and the socks feel absolutely lovely to wear. I swear by this pattern, and even though I know how to knit heels the traditional way, I never have the patience. Hope your projects treat you kindly! :)
I just cast on the PetiteKnit zipper sweater a like last week and so far so good, just split the sleeves and working on the body. I’m doing it in the Istex Lettlopi with the Filcolana Tilia and I am NERVOUS it’s going to be too scratchy 😬 Up next I’m debating doing the Wave Sweater in a dress length 🤔🤔 I’ve bought the pattern but I’ve never altered one so significantly so I’m not sure how much yarn to get!
i’ve got my fingers crossed for you it doesn’t come out scratchy!!at least it’s a big chunky sweater so you can always layer a long sleeved thermal underneath worst case scenario. the wave sweater in dress form sounds UNREAL!! certainly a mission of a project but the end result would be so so gorgeous 🫶🫶
There is a sock tutorial by Kristin Lehrer on youtube. It's super popular and I learned sock knitting with it. It uses the heel flap and gusset construction, which is not the most straightforward technique but the tutorial makes it very accessible :)

ahh that’s wonderful, good luck with your cardigan!!🫶
For the Lana Del Ray tank top, you could even “cut out” the straps and the back and just take the colorwork panel and frame it!

First! Love your videos. You've inspired me to start up a sweater (as an avid amigurumi crocheter :))
Aww that’s so wonderful!! Best of luck with it 🥰❤️
