I think it's less about what he said about Tuchel and more the fact he said he wants to play for Inter again while he's still at the top. So Lukaku isn't lying, Chelsea's system doesn't work with him, but it isn't Tuchel's fault, neither Lukaku's fault, they just don't mix together and that's all.

The timing of it is a little odd. Lukaku has started each of Chelsea's last two games scoring in both matches. But before that, when he was on the bench and midfielders were being played in the striker position, that I can understand him being frustrated in. But the other side of it, the PL is the hardest league to play in, so yes I'm sure there are lots of players who found it easier and thus more enjoyable in other leagues. You have to be incredibly fit and an all rounder to perform well on a consistent basis in the PL. If it's more of a tactical thing, Chelsea playing one upfront, Inter playing with two strikers upfront, surely he already knew that Tuchel played with one upfront before he decided to join them?

I have a feeling I know why this has happened. I was at the Brentford game and Tuchel subbed him off and at the same time gave him the hair dryer treatment as he was coming off. Am a Chelsea fan, have seen lots of good players in EPL come and go..many I respect admire their football in the likes of Anthony Martial...he probably was not meant for United but if u look at his track he begun to be frustrated by Jose Mourinho but he never went to despise the club. It's not the right time to say it but I don't see how it's an insult to Chelsea. He just expressed his frustrations by saying he had a great time in Inter with the fans and that it was the club/place that helped him found his form which is the reason why Chelsea bought him. There was no direct insult to Chelsea the club and fans, he just said Tuchel changed the game plan and tactics and it's not working for him but that he'll still give his best as a professional. Imo, if you're buying a CF for 100 million, you should find a way to maximise his efficiency, output otherwise why would you buy him?
