Hi, RCE. If you have mentioned Biffa, maybe you could have a collab with his “Fix my city” series? You can send him Engitopia with all its problems to fix them, that will be great
Looking at a picture of the Oxagon, it doesn't look THAT bad - a little ridiculous when you could just build wider along the same coastline, but it's not completely crazy. No, the crazy bit is when they decided that all of the stuff on the "water" side of the city would be floating. That's... what?
I know this channel is supposed to be weird and goofy but one time I would like to see Matt build stuff like a separate city fully as efficient as he can for real

I'd be VERY surprised if "The Line" in SA is ever built to look remotely like the architectural designs, it's probably going to end up being a line of independent skyscrapers in the middle of nowhere where no one will end up living because they forgot that they were building it in the middle of a desert with no water source and need to build enormous de-salination plants to support the ultra rich residents. At the VERY least, they're never going to have a hyperloop (because it's a non-functional design disproven 100+ years ago), or flying cars. At best, they'll have a monorail lol.

as someone who drives stonehenge a303 A LOT as i live nearby, that roundabout isnt the problem, its the fact you have a dual carriageway merging down to 1 lane just before one of the most viewed things in the area and you get people slowing down to just stare at it causing traffic to back up alllll the way back to the roundabout, if that dual carriage way carried on all the way to the next roundabout there'd be zero issues but for some reason they thought a tunnel would be better and of course this pissed off the hippies
In real life, it's not all going to be level with the water it will be raised up or slightly graded to have an incline with drainage that either runs into the water slightly above water level or to storm drains deverting water somewhere else but realistically probably both type of drainage systems will be used to prevent flooding in heavy rains. Great video. You need boat rides down poop mountain lol
I know it's an older video... but in regards to the flaw of the clover leaf highway... recently a major section of main road and highway near me was changed. They went from the standard clover leaf to a helix. The main road crosses traffic, so at one point the west bound traffic is on the side the east bound usually is on then crosses back. This allows the on and off ramps of the highway to flow into the main road more efficiently and it also cuts the congestion of oncoming traffic having to cross, on the highway, the traffic trying to exit to the main road. It's cut down on congestion by a massive margin so it might be something to look into for the future.
Hey RCE here is a city skylines thing to test. Use the canal tool in the landscape section to make a trench under the ocean. Then place water pumps on the canal. Theory is they work even completely submerged
