I've had a similar set of these for quite some time after watching you review them about 5 years ago. Obviously as a hobbyist I don't use them all the time but they have stood the test of time. great review and look forward to many more.

face shield - the shards from these cutters are absolutely lethal!! and eye protection is, as u say, a must!! - i nearly always end up digging steel skelfs out of hands with a needle - ouch ouch ouch!! good fair appraisal - worth more than a pkt of burrs!! 😊😊😊

I have been using a set of those for years now (not daily though) and I havent managed to dull one yet. When they load up wit aluminium, I stick them in the lathe, heat them up with propane, and brush the molten aluminium out with a steel brush…

G'day John. The set of carbide bures did a good job.
Have you any idea of the life of these bures

It really depends on what you are cutting.
They seem to last well .
As I have said they are consumables .

We used tallow on any abrasives when cutting aluminium at work.
Once you've used them on brass, try them on stainless. I had a bookmark years ago, until my PC went titsup. It explained that once a file had been used on brass, it was then no good for stainless. Or was it other way around?

It takes a new file to cut brass bronze is even worse

6 mm shank ? My collets are 1/4 in. Wonder if they will grip enough.

There is nothing worse than blunt cutters, they looked very good, 'nearly' like a hot knife through butter!
